What causes my Apple ID to be disabled?
What causes my Apple ID to be disabled? I realize that it is security related, but it has occurred 4 times in the last 48 hours. I can successfully reset it by answering my security questions, but the frequency is what concerns me.
Is someone trying to logon with my ID? Am I being hacked? Or is it simply my ID being used on multiple devices; iPhone, iPad, Macbook Pro, iMac, daughter's iPod?
It's a phishing attempt, trying to get your login details.

If it has been disabled then it's usually for security reasons and changing the PW is not enough.
You would be best off contacting iTunes Store Support for information on what caused this and how to rectify the issue. There will be very little you can do on your own.
Here is the link for the section of the site where you can email them. Click 'Get Started' and then select 'iTunes' and then 'iTunes Store' on the next page. The rest should be fairly self explanatory.

If your account is disabled then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

What cai I do to fix it?You will have to restore the phone and set up as New. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. The part you need is near the bottom, "If you have never synced your device with iTunes...". You will lose any content that is not backed up in iCloud.

I just got my iPad, I have an iPod. When I go to put apps on my new ipad it says my apple ID Is disabled. I have reset the passwords. Somehow I have two id's? I've gone into settings for apps signed out and back in with the new p.w. I can't think of what else to do to get the disabled block off. Any ideas?? Thanks

Today i tried to download one application ande when i typed my apple id pasword somthig was wrong "Your account is disabled. This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons . Tap reset to reset our account. " When i tried to reset my accout there was this messege that my password wasn't correcr . But there was no way .. i'm sure that this was my password . So i made a new Apple id but now there is another problem i can't change my iCloud id because i forgot my old password and there is this application "Find my iphone " which i can't delete .. so what could i do ??

If your Apple ID is disabled for security reasons, try resetting your password via the web using the steps in this article:

You may not be able to change your iCloud email address, but once your password is reset you can remove your iPhone from Find My iPhone using the steps in this article:

If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it -
