What changed in recent Droid update?

I had an update pushed to my Droid 2 yesterday. Is there a page somewhere that describes what changed? My version info says:
- System Version: Version 2.3.20.A955.Verizon.en.US
- Android Version: 2.2

What is "most recent new" update option?

When I am setting up what podcasts will sync to my iPhone I get these 4 basic options....
1. "most recent"
2. "most recent unplayed"
3. "least recent unplayed"
4. "most recent new"
I cannot for the life of me figure out what "most recent new" does.

Can't say I've conducted exhaustive tests but I'd hazard a guess that a Podcast is only "played" when it's play count is at least 1, that is you've listened to all of it. "New" probably means you haven't listened to any of it yet... (Play count=0, Last played time=Never, Playback position=0:00:00.00). Solid blue circles would be "New" but podcasts with both full and partial circles would be classed as "Unplayed".

Recent carrier update in UK. What's it all about?

Got my iPhone 3Gs 16GB Black a short time ago using the usual O2. Have got the latest software update and have also downloaded the recent carrier update via iTunes. What's if for?? The O2 signal is not good in my home area and my phone now tells me with a big blue screen that my carrier has been lost (and this happens very often) and asks me if I want to change. I'm then given a choice(depending on where I am) of Vodafone, Orange, T-mobile to name just a few. Can someone explain what use this is? Is it just to enable me to make 999 calls if the O2 signal is bad? I usually get some warning and explanation of software upgrades but nothing from apple or O2 on this little beauty! Thanks

Carrier settings updates are small files (about 10k) that are downloaded from iTunes to be installed on your iPhone. The carrier settings can include updates to the default APN (how iPhone accesses the carrier's cellular data network), special dialing codes at Settings > Phone > [Carrier] Services, default settings for Stocks, Maps, Weather, and other items.

A really recent MacBook Pro would be running Lion, Mac OS 10.7, and the most recent update is 10.7.3. The delta update from 10.7.2 was found to cause problems and rather than fix them, the update was pulled and Lion users were directed to the "combo" updater which contained all the code necessary to update any Mac running Lion from any previous version of Lion, which is a lot of code, hence the very big download. You have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials. This deletes the account and your synced data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing to a different account, your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.

Your email provider may have changed certain settings to do with deleting from server when deleting from client so that it no longer works. Are you using pop or imap? If pop then recreate the account using imap.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

As usual those "news" reports mangled the facts and got most of the story completely wrong. This particular attack did not arise through a Java update, it was distributed through a fraudulent Flash download popup window, or malicious websites that Safari is designed to block.
If you run Java on your Mac you may be vulnerable to this malware. If you do not run Java there is no risk. If you routinely keep your Mac up to date with Software Update the risk is greatly reduced.

Depending upon how extensive your library of legacy Microsoft Office data files are, you may want to consider continuing to use Microsoft Office 2004.
Microsoft Office's 2011 version is compatible with Lion and presumably either works with Mountain Lion or an update will make it so. The problem with this approach is that Office 2011 will "convert" your earlier data files and there lies the rub! For example, I have the need to weekly open a chart created in Excel 2004, but Excel 2011 trashes the chart in its "conversion."
So I have approached the overall problem differently.
The reason your applications do not work in Mountain Lion is that they were written for the older PowerPC CPU that all Macs used up to 2006. When Apple made its transition to the Intel CPU, they licensed software that they included in all versions of OS X (from Tiger to Leopard and optionally, Snow Leopard) called Rosetta.
Rosetta miraculously allows PowerPC applications to work on the Intel processor transparently; you do not know it is even present.
The problem is that after 6 years of the transition, Apple's license to use the underlying software expired for OS X Lion and all version thereafter (and it is doubtful that the current owner of the software, IBM, would relicense it, even if Apple were inclined to do so).
So for those of use that need to run Lion, I have offered the option to install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7:

What Changes to Software Update Group Causes Clients to Re-check Compliance

Hello,
I have a number of software update groups that have been deployed over the past couple of years. When Microsoft release new updates etc. some of the updates already deployed change their status e.g. an update might get marked as expired. As a result of this
I can go from having clients reporting as being compliant to a situation where they are in an unknown state until they report back again.
Does anyone know what changes to an update already deployed would cause clients to have to check their compliance status for that software update group?

If you are referring to the enforcement state, this is indeed specific to the deployment, not the group itself.
With regards to your question - Upon a change to your deployment, your clients will receive updated policy. On a successful evaluation of the deployment, it will re-send a state message if necessary. Unfortunately I do not know if there are certain
things that do not trigger a policy update (i.e. change in the name or description vs. update membership or deadline change)

E-mail app no longer works reliably on my Droid Turbo since the recent OS update

The native e-mail app has become unreliable since the recent OS update. All accounts (corporate, IMAP) have incorrect "Unread" totals. The corporate exchange account won't send e-mail. Clearing caches, uninstall/reinstall, all the usual don't bring resolution.
I've switched to third-party e-mail apps pending what I hope will be a fix.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Thanks.

Okay, so tried one more thing and found the culprit - the problem no longer appears after I switch off 'Allow iTunes audio control from remote speakers' preference in iTunes. Apparently this problem happens due to an interaction between the AVR (Denon AVR-1912) and iTunes.
