It's the level of compression. Lower number, more aggressive compression, more visual artifacts.
Aside from that you should never use jpeg as a working format. The compression is destructive and cumulative, and the file deteriorates every time you resave it.
Use TIFF or PSD, and if you need jpeg save out a copy as a single final step.

I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case...

We are upgrading our jpi from 7u60 to 7u67. We are running EBS 12.1. We are having issues trying to deploy this to the organization with zero prompts and messages. We are getting a firewall prompt from the plugin the first time we launch EBS. What change to the firewall is java trying to make when we launch the plugin from EBS the first time? I have attached screen shots of the messages we are seeing. The first screen shot is on Windows 7x86 and the second is on Windows 7x64. The x86 is prompting for jp2launcher.exe
while the x64 is prompting to allow java.exe. This is the same software package for both instances and we are using the IE 32-bit browser.

What changes does the Debian AIR installer make to a Linux system?

We develop finance software using Adobe AIR. One of our customers recently posted on our forums asking me about the Debian installer package. In particular, he has this to say:
I was dismayed to see that the AIR installer issued a warning concerning an executable it uses which makes changes to critical system components, but that no information whatsoever was offered about just what those changes were. At the termination of the installation routine I clicked the gdebi details button to see the changes, and gdebi told me that there was an error in retrieving the information. If I'm not mistaken that means that Adobe is deliberately blocking the notification of the system about changes made by the installer. I've used gdebi for installation of many .deb packages before on systems I maintain at work, and I've never seen this error.
I'd really appreciate it if the developers of YNAB could make available the information about changes made to the system by both the AIR installer and the installation process for YNAB3.
Could someone from Adobe give me a hand with this? I am not familiar enough with Debian packages to know why gdebi can't report on the behavior of this particular package. I'm hoping that there is a way to easily answer this question and tell him what changes are made to his system during install of both AIR and an AIR product.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

What distribution/version are you running on?
Could you please specify the steps that you performed for installing the YNAB application and AIR runtime?
If you could also attach screenshot of the dialog that you see during the installation of AIR runtime and/or AIR application, that would also help in analyzing the problem.
Regarding your query for the actions performed during the installation of AIR runtime rpm/deb package:
1. AIR runtime registers .air extension on your system i.e. installs icons/mimetype for .air extension.
2. Sets itself as the default application for .air extension.
2. Updates the system's icon/mimetype cache for changes to be reflected.
AIR runtime package conforms to the debian packaging guidelines and doesn't hides anything from the user in the process of installation of runtime or application.
You can look at the following installation scripts on your system (debian system) after AIR runtime installation:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/adobeair.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/adobeair.prerm

Cannot print labels from PayPal with Firefox browser. What changed in the past week?

I usually use Firefox to access my PayPal account and print shipping labels. For the past week, I get the following error message when I try to print the labels.
Printer not activated, error code -30.
I don't get this message in IE, but it is not a browser I like to use. This has been happening for the past week. What has changed in the last week which would render this problem.

It might be that your only "printing device" is not recognized as a physical printer. I get this error with Coupon printing Java apps because my printer uses a generic printer driver.
Some would say "coupons (and postage) should only be printed once to reduce the chances of fraud"... I say "paper gets lost, let me print as I need"... they win...
The only workaround I ever found was to reinstall the printer driver, which did not work for me but it might for you...

What changed in the Find/Change Object behavior?

In Indesign CS4 all graphics in a document could be centered through the Find/Change feature (Object tab) by leaving the Find field blank and setting the Change field to "Fitting Reference Point: Center" (clicking the center button). This no longer works in CS5. The feedback is of x number of objects changed, but none have.
It was handy, now it's gone.

Actually, it seems stranger.
(BTW- The CS4 version is running on a Power Mac G5, pre-intel, Tiger.

If a single graphic is dragged or placed in the document, the Find/Change, as described, does nothing. When a second one is added, it works as expected, unless they are both jpegs or PSDs. In that case, they sometimes, disappear completly and are shown to be (in the links panel) on the pasteboard but not visible there. But, get this, add a pdf or AI file to the doc, and run it again and it works fine again. The revese order also applies. If I delete all but one graphic it stops working again.
In all cases the fitting commands work fine.
It seems as if there is some confusion in how the document object model is being addressed and filetype is in the mix.

What changed with the mousemove event, doesn'y work w/FF7

The code below was broken by the FF7 update. When you click on the image moving the mouse should scan across the enlarged image. Problem happens with Windows 7 as well.

I have tried this on my own computer. It do not know about older versions but it seems to work in Firefox 7 when you use the same code for xPos and yPos in Firefox as in IE. I get some kind of magnifier effect.

Block price from any changes in the PO, when PO has released.

I have problem in the PO screen, when I have released the PO, then I want to block the released PO from changes in price.
in other words, after we released the PO, no one can change the net price in the PO screen.
Can we do that? any customizing should I do?

1. ME23N goto PO Header "Release Stratergy" Tab, Check the Release Indicator.
2. Go to SPRO --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Release Procedure for Purchase Orders --> Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders --> Release Indicator
3. Select the Release ID "from Step 1" and in Changable Column select 1
as per the above setting the Purchase Order once release will not be changable

I dont know if it will work here, since I dont know the complete structure, but the base call must be public, if the derived class is public, so the base class is at least as accessible as the derived class.
Try make the base class public. (And maybe the base-class IDXHook of the base also...)
Or use a different approach and make only the properties public that are needed to be public by adding an extra class...
A structure could look like:(you need to create a class thats public in your dll and expose a property, and set this property in the internal class...)

Azure Mobile Service in project Siena

Thanks for everything you have done in Project Siena, it is a great and very productive app.
I was very happy when I first saw that the known limitations on connecting Siena to Azure Mobile Services was removed in the presentation of Project Siena beta 3. However it seems that there are still many limitations and it still only imports first
500 records. Actually I can not see any development on the Azure data source functionality since beta 1?
I have asked the question before and was informed that Azure Mobile Services was strategically important to Project Siena.
Please let me have some indications for what we can expect so we don't work towards something that will never materialize.
1, Will the limitations on how many rows can be imported be removed in near future?
2, Will write back to Azure Mobile Services be enabled in a future version of Project Siena?

RE-Acknowledgement without any changes in the log???

I am working on an issue where we have been receiving an excessive number of re-acknowledgments that are not as a result of a sales order change registering in the change log.
This problem is creating a significant amount of additional work for us internally and it is impacting our ability to provide timely information to our customer regarding their order.
Could you please advice what changes to the sales order will prompt a re-acknowledgement. I have checked everything there is no change in the programme or the SAP Scripts, there is no background job and there are no changes in the sales order,

If you want to see the fields that will trigger the log.
go to AUT01.
Select Change Document Object,
Enter "VERKBELEG" -( This is the change document object for sales documents )
Press the display button. you can see all the tables that were enabled for logging changes.
By clicking on each table, you can identify the fields that were enabled to trigger the change log.
This is the answer to your question " where we can configure to trigger the log changes for sales order ".. I don't think it will solve ur main issue.
You need to look into your business process and ur System architecture to resolve the main issue.
