What changed?
hi
I have upgraded everything to all the latest versions ( OS, FCS, aja control panel, Quicktime etc) and now my work flow is severely hindered. If I drop a motion file onto a FCP timeline I get a beachball of shame for at least 15 - 30 seconds. Whenever you click back to a sequence, whether its just been opened, or even FCP has been behind another app, you get the beachball. This makes working in this way almost impossible. I dont really want to bake motion files into quicktimes as this takes up so much more space and is more fiddly, but its getting like I might have to. So my question is what changed to make motion files so sluggish?
adam
well I dont really know what I'm looking for but...
QTKitServer is crashing a lot, it doesnt bring down the app, but looking at the logs it can be happening several times a day. The logs list the genarts Sapphire plugin as being involved. Certainly some of the effects in this package although fine in Motion and fine in fcp natively, will crash FCP hard if you try to render them in a motion project imported into fcp. Naturally I avoid these until a fix is released, but maybe its more widespread than i thought. I will try and de-install the plug-ins and see how we get on from there.
thanks
adam

when saving a file in [.jpg] format, i am asked to choose a quality from 1 to 100. what changes in the file created based on the quality parameter chosen?. i would like to know what changes, so in the future i can set my camera to a setting that will give me the highest quality to begin with, allowing me to make crops and still preserve the quality.
thank you
dovidIt's the level of compression. Lower number, more aggressive compression, more visual artifacts.
Aside from that you should never use jpeg as a working format. The compression is destructive and cumulative, and the file deteriorates every time you resave it.
Use TIFF or PSD, and if you need jpeg save out a copy as a single final step. -
The question apparently needs to be typed in twice... good work. Here it is again:
I cannot install iTunes updates as of today. Does anyone have any idea what changed with iTunes? Is this a distinct issue from the 42404?
If so, are you getting an error message when you try to install iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.) -
Question
I can no longer send or respond to email from my Firefox browser. I closed and sent from Internet explorer and it works fine. What changed? The only thing different this morning, I downloaded Adobe uprade?I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case... -
Running an iMac with OSX 10.9
The other day I was dragging photo's out of iPhoto into a specific folder that I was going to then upload to Shutterfly. It was working ok then it stopped, and I could no longer drag photo's into any folder I wasnted. I also used to be able to pull photo's from facebook to my desktop but this is no longer the case either. (Could be a FB setting) What changed on my iMac?
If you have the answer please post for me to make the proper changes in my settings.
Thank you .
JimI'm sure a setting got changed. It still does not work for me. So what I've resorted to was copy/paste. but that's not the ideal way to do it. If you know the proper settings let me know.
Thanks. -
Things I delete on my Mac are still on my iPhone. HELP! Deleting in both places is so time consuming. It has worked until recently...not sure what changed!
Your email provider may have changed certain settings to do with deleting from server when deleting from client so that it no longer works. Are you using pop or imap? If pop then recreate the account using imap.

Be aware that when CS6 ships sometime this spring (no official announcement yet, but all hints from Adobe point to a second quarter ship date) you will be completely out of the upgrade loop and will have to buy a full priced license for CS6 or move to Creative Cloud. There are some pretty good deals out there on CS5.5 upgrades.
Here’s the CS2 to CS5.5 Design Premium package: http://amzn.to/kZOsu7

Installed iOS 8.1.2 and a new version of numbers this morning now when I attempt to edit a cell and change a formula the keyboard displays but the formula box does not display. What changed?
Caused by the Ask Toolbar extension in Firefox 3.6.13+, disable that extension or un-install it.

I use an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4. I sync with iTunes 10.7.0.21 on a Win XP sp3 Computer.
I sync always manually. I have configured iTunes to "warn when any of data on my computer is going to be changed".
When I press "SYNC" iTunes warns that "7%, for example, of my Calendar is going to be changed".
But it doesn't say WHICH Calendars records is going to change.
How can I know what changes are going to be applied ?
And how can I decide which changes to accept and which not ?
Or, at least, is there a log file to see what changes have been applied, in order to correct any mistakes ?
Thanks,
George SkarpasI'd imagine they should be filed under the artist name in your My Documents>My Music>iTunes>iTunes Music folder, so try there first maybe.

What Changes is Reqd in Int. Process to proces Multiple record by 1..1 RFC
HI Sdner,
File - ECC - RFC (Sync) - Currently File / But This can be Other System also.
I have Done this By BPM .
File - Receiver Step - Sender Step (Sync) - Sender Step - File .
and this is running fine for single record.
But Now Problem is RFC is with 1..1 Occurence .. So it cannot take more then 1 record ... so on Receiver I am getting only response record in Response File.
What Changes is Reqd in Integration Process to process Multiple record by RFC of 1..1 Occurence type.
or what is the approach ..................for ID and Inetegration Process in ESR.
I know we can go with Other Approach Like Proxy and Module Proccer .. But I am following Strictly BPM approach ...
Because We have Similar More Scenarios ..even More Complex ..
Regards
Prabhat Sharma,HI nagarjuna,

you want a solution with current scenario, you can try this-
Go to messages tab and change the occurance to 0..unbounded for RFC in file-RFC mapping. Now you have 1:n mapping.
The RFC root tag has to be mapped with record set of your file structure. Now the n RFC calls will be generated on executing this mapping.
In your BPM part make the following changes-
Add one more send step after the receive step and call the 1:n mapping transformation.
The sync send step should be placed in a 'ForEach' block.
So for each record in file a sync RFC call will be executed and the file is appended with respose code everytime.

If you can explain this some more ...
Or If you can provide me some Blog .... or screen shot of Integration Process/ Service Interface / Receiver Determination / Interface Determination..
That would be helpful. -
What changes does the Debian AIR installer make to a Linux system?
We develop finance software using Adobe AIR. One of our customers recently posted on our forums asking me about the Debian installer package. In particular, he has this to say:
I was dismayed to see that the AIR installer issued a warning concerning an executable it uses which makes changes to critical system components, but that no information whatsoever was offered about just what those changes were. At the termination of the installation routine I clicked the gdebi details button to see the changes, and gdebi told me that there was an error in retrieving the information. If I'm not mistaken that means that Adobe is deliberately blocking the notification of the system about changes made by the installer. I've used gdebi for installation of many .deb packages before on systems I maintain at work, and I've never seen this error.
I'd really appreciate it if the developers of YNAB could make available the information about changes made to the system by both the AIR installer and the installation process for YNAB3.
Could someone from Adobe give me a hand with this? I am not familiar enough with Debian packages to know why gdebi can't report on the behavior of this particular package. I'm hoping that there is a way to easily answer this question and tell him what changes are made to his system during install of both AIR and an AIR product.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated! What distribution/version are you running on?
Could you please specify the steps that you performed for installing the YNAB application and AIR runtime?
If you could also attach screenshot of the dialog that you see during the installation of AIR runtime and/or AIR application, that would also help in analyzing the problem.
Regarding your query for the actions performed during the installation of AIR runtime rpm/deb package:
1. AIR runtime registers .air extension on your system i.e. installs icons/mimetype for .air extension.
2. Sets itself as the default application for .air extension.
2. Updates the system's icon/mimetype cache for changes to be reflected.
AIR runtime package conforms to the debian packaging guidelines and doesn't hides anything from the user in the process of installation of runtime or application.
You can look at the following installation scripts on your system (debian system) after AIR runtime installation:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/adobeair.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/adobeair.prerm
Hope it answers your query. -
What changed in OS 10.6.8 since Mar 25 2013?
My HP All In One stopped being able to scan sometime between Mar 25 2013 and May 20 2013. I bought this All in One device in February and it worked fine. The last time I tried to scan a document was Mar 25 2013 and it again worked fine. When I tried to use this function (scan) on May 20 2013, I received an error message that the device was unavailable (Printing and Copy functions still work). I spend over 12 hours with HP support loading, ininstalling, reloading, veriving permissions etc. They stated it must be my computer, an iMac Desktop I bought in June 2011. I connected the HP all in one device to my older G4 iBook (OS 10.5) and it did indeed work correctly (Print, Scan & Copy). The only only factor is the periodic updates to 10.6.8. What changed in these updates that makes my beloved iMac refuse to recognize the scan function?
Take a look at rkaufmann's answer in the link below. It appears to address the same problem.

Hi All,
We are moving Web Dynpro Java timesheet to Web Dynpro ABAP timesheet.
what changes needs to be done from EP side?
I have made Web Dynpro ABAP iView calling Web Dynpro ABAP timesheet and linked it with page.
But It is showing an error 'Web Dynpro Application CATDATARECORD does not exist'.
Please suggest what other changes needs to be done.Hi Anurag,
I have added new Web Dynpro ABAP iView to the same page in which Web Dynpro JAVA iview was added and made ABAP iview visible.
And this page is already assigned to role.
How should I link this ABAP iview so that it get replace by the Web Dynpro JAVA iview.
And the application name (CATDATARECORD) is correct and Web Dynpro JAVA is using the same application.
But now we want new time timesheet for that what changes needs to be done?
Please suggest. -
