What CMOS battery does the Pavilion a6500f use?

I have an HP Pavilion a6500f that recently starting shutting down or freezing.  I think I have that problem fixed but every time it's started now I have to reset the date from 01-01-2002 and reset the time.  Since I have no desire to take the computer apart twice can anyone tell me what CMOS battery this uses?
This question was solved.

Hi,
It's a CR2032 battery which you can buy at any where including many supermarkets. You can find it near the right corner on the following image (round):

  • What bluetooth protocol does the iPod Touch use with a keyboard?

    Hi...
Say, does anyone know what bluetooth protocol apple is using for their bluetooth keyboards for the iPhone and iPod Touch? It is probably HID, but the people at RIM (i.e. BlackBerry) use SPP. So I would think many 3rd party keyboards use SPP (Serial Port Protocol). But, then, there are many posts about "I wish Apple would support SPP" because people want to build apps that interface with external HW that only supports SPP.
What I want to do? (you ask)
I've one of these nice / expensive Think-out-side portable folding keyboards (good). That only has a serial interface (bad). There are many bluetooth "dongles" out there with serial ports (good). But they only support SPP or Serial Port Protocol (bad? maybe? depends).
See, I know RIM (BlackBerry) people support SPP on their devices. But I haven't heard (found) word one about what the iPod Touch supports. I would hate to spend $80 on one of these dongles and find out it doesn't work.
So, what does the iPod Touch use when talking to the bluetooth keyboard?
    -thanks

From page 37 of iOS 4.1 Touch Users Guide:
    Using an Apple Wireless Keyboard
    For ease of typing, you can use an Apple Wireless Keyboard (available separately;
iPod touch 3rd generation or later).
Regarding the original questions, the BT profiles supported by the Touch arelisted here:

  • What PHY interface does the MGBT1 SFP Use ?

I am using the Cisco MGBT1 SFP Transceiver in an SFP Module Interface on a Xilinx ML555 development board.  I need to configure the MAC that I am using to talk to the MGBT1, but don’t know what PHY interface the MGBT1 supports.  Does it use SGMII, RGMII, GMII, MII or 100Base-X PHY interface? Detailed specifications on the MGBT1 would  be very helpful, but I can not find them on your site.  Do you use transceivers manufactured by Marvell?  If so, which one.

No the MGBT1 is not SGMII it is 1000base-X.
I have just got an MGBT1 SFP working with a Xilinx Virtex5 hard TEMAC.
So far I have not found a way to access the PHY registers in the MGBT1. Other SFP's I have tried allow access to the PHY via the IIC interface.

  • What optical drive does the G5 iSight use?

My question relates to the G5 iSight model. A friend has given me his to fix since the original drive no longer reads.
What kind of drive can I use? A standard laptop slot loading drive or does it have to be an apple certified Superdrive?
Thanks for your help on this.

If you go to the Apple logo and click About this Mac, then on More Info, then in under Hardware, click on Disk Burning, and it will show what Superdrive was installed - probably the Matshita DVD-R UJ-846.
They are not the most 'sturdy' of items, alledgedly because thay were originally designed for a Macbook (horizontal operation, whereas in the iMac they are asked to work in the vertical position).
Mine failed a few months ago, in as much as it would do everything except burn DVDs. For that I now use an external Samsung Super Writemaster DVD writer that cost the reasonable amount of £27 from Amazon! Works a treat. I saw no good reason to pay up to £200 for a more sophisticated make and model!
Getting an internal Superdrive replaced by an Apple Centre or authorised dealer would cost a lot more.
    Your call!

  • What Encoder Settings Does "Share with Facebook" Use?

With iMovie '11 you can Share/Facebook, which will upload the current project to a Facebook personal page. The problem is, I need to upload the movie to a group page that I administer. Yes, this has been asked before, and the answer was "Export to a local drive/desktop and upload to your Facebook group." Got it.
BUT... USING WHAT ENCODER SETTINGS? When you upload directly to Facebook, it's a "black box"--all you can choose is resolution. The video is beautiful when it's finished uploading. But, I HAVE NO IDEA what those encoder settings are and I've tried about every other combination of MP4/H.264 and the video looks typically like dog excrement--never as good as when I upload with the Facebook option.
What encoder settings does the Facebook option use???
    - George -

If you want to replicate the black box, use SHARE/EXPORT MOVIE...
You can also use SHARE/MEDIA BROWSER. YOu will find the resulting movie buried in the project package.
If you want to roll your own...
    SHARE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME
    QuickTime Movie
    h.264 as video codec.
AAC or uncompressed as audio codec.
Set keyframes to automatic (or 24).
Set bitrate to 16,000 kbps, but you can back off from there. You may go as low as 8,000 but you would have to experiment.
It is difficult to get better quality than the default settings, but some people are able to get similar quality at a reduced file size. With YouTube and FaceBook, you should not care about file size. I would err on the side of quality, because FaceBook and YouTube may recompress in their proprietary format, and you want to give them as much to work with as possible.
If you want more detail, here is an article from YouTube on how to optimize settings. The same should work fine for FaceBook.

how can I change the cmos battery in the presario r3000

Hello dgreen631. I understand that you'd like to replace the CMOS battery in your notebook. Is this correct?
What you need is the Maintenance and Service Guide for your notebook. Here is a link. While it does not have a specific section for replacing the CMOS battery it does cover the disassembly of the notebook and should provide you with the needed information to perform the replacement.
I hope this information is helpful; have a great day!

  • What operating system does my Kindle Fire use?

What operating system does my Kindle Fire use?

I really wish retailers would tell people this BEFORE they buy a Kindle:
It's Android and there is, unfortunately no Flash Player for it
Adobe stopped ALL development of Flash for Android last year.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
There are older versions of Flash Player (for Android) at that link, but there are no guarantees any of them will work.

I've read a lot about "Dolphin" for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
I'm not an Android user (no tablet or phone) so I can't make any endorsements that would hold any credibility, but most of the Flash solutions I've read point to Dolphin as the best alternative.

  • Which App Store does the iPad Mini use?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but just to be sure; among the apps available to iphone and ipad, and the apps only available to ipad and what-not, where does the iPad Mini fall in? Does it have access to all the apps on the iPad and the iPhone or how is it set up? Thanks in advance!

The iPad mini is an iPad, not an iPhone, so it uses the same apps as any iPad. However, it is not quite so clear cut, since any number of iPhone apps can also be run on an iPad, and very many can be used on both. The app descriptions will tell you what devices, as well as version of iOS, the app is compatible with.

I think its stream, but I'm not sure that it matters that much what you
choose to use. They will get mapped to one another. The core control
is written in ATL and the data is extracted and placed in a LV VI file
    as a LV Handle.

Does anyone know if my G3S Iphone will sync Itunes on my MAC Power PC G4, OSI0.4.11?  If it will, what operting system does the Iphone need?

My apologies, I read your post the wrong way. I see now that the original poster was confused about the specs and you were simply responding with the appropriate info.
I've gotten defensive after reading the forums. The forums are full of posters just looking to prove someone wrong or stupid, rather than being helpful. I shouldn't have assumed you were one of those people. Sorry.
I did my homework and discovered that my PowerPC will run Leopard. It can be purchased for $129 by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. This is much cheaper than replacing my laptop.
I hope to upgrade my Mac soon, though! Can't believe this thing is still ticking. I love Apple.
