What comes with Rapid Install (12.1.1)

Hi,
I need to install (from scratch) the latest version of Single Sing-On, Portal, and Discoverer on top of E-Business Suite 12.1.1 with Database 11gR2. I upgraded E-Business Suite from version 11.5.9 and DB 9.2.0.4 (to DB 10.2.0.5 first) using Rapid Install CD for 12.1.1.
My question is without installing anything new, do I have any version of Portal, Single Sing-On, or Discoverer that came with Rapid Install, if I wanted to live with that and not go to the latest version of these products?
I know even if Rapid Install comes with above mentioned products, I would need to configure them.
Also, the latest version of these products apparently comes with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, is this correct? Do I need to download any of these separately if I already downloaded the Fusion Middleware 11g? I am trying to identify my starting point.
Note: I will configure the portal and discoverer from scratch as I don't have anything important I would have to bring with upgrade, so I think this would make the installation easier for me?
Thanks,
Sinan

Hussein,
I have a 64Bit OS installed on a 64Bit server. Am I supposed to use this 32Bit Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.0.2)?
Also, can you please let me know if my understanding from this whole thing is correct:
If I wanted to install 10g version of Portal, Discoverer, and OID, and SSO, all I needed was Oracle Application Server 10g and Oracle Developer 10g
If I want to install 11g version of Portal, Discoverer, and OID, and SSO, I need Oracle Application Server 10g, WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware (which includes Discoverer)I am trying to install as little as possible just to configure the latest version of Portal and Discoverer with Single Sign-On on an existing 12.1.1 release running on 11g R2 database.
The reason for my confusion is that the AS download on below link already includes the following, so why do I need Fusion Middleware at all?
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/101202-095224.html
Included: Oracle HTTP Server
Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE (OC4J)
Oracle Application Server Web Cache
Oracle Application Server Portal
Oracle Application Server Wireless
Oracle Sensor Edge Server
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control
Oracle Database Server 10g (10.1.0.4.2)
Oracle Internet Directory
Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On
Oracle Application Server Directory Integration Provisioning
Oracle Application Server Delegated Administration Services
Oracle Application Server Certificate Authority
Oracle Application Server Forms Services
Oracle Application Server Reports Services
Oracle Application Server Personalization
Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer
Oracle Security Developer Tools
Oracle Application Server Guard
OracleAS Backup and Recovery Tool
Thanks,

  • My macbook pro didnt come with an install disk?

my macbook pro 15inch did not come with an install disk? what should i do?

Macs which come with 10.7 preinstalled don't include install disks. Everything you need is either on Lion's recovery drive or the web.

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know.  If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.
    Also, according to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

  • What comes with the nano

I am thinking about getting a nano and I want to know what comes with it. Also, what are some accessories I might need.

    Ashok,
Among optional accessories to be purchased separately, the dock is one (for charging from the AC electricity socket and connecting to computer/hifi/speakers at the same time). More urgently you might want the USB Power Adaptor (connects electric socket to ipod's USB cable) so you can charge the ipod battery without a PC (e.g. when travelling).
I haven't got the dock yet. I hear yes and no answers re whether the sound output to a hifi or to desk speakers is better from a dock (using the wide port) than from the earbud jack (the 3.5mm hole). I have bought the Monster cable that just takes sound from the earbud 3.5mm and sends it to stereo line-in RCA Left and Right plugs, and the sound is pretty good (but not immediately very loud).
Separately, I don't see either religious advice or uncritical loyalty to Apple in the Terms of Use: "Unless otherwise noted, your Submission should either be a technical support question or a technical support answer. Feedback about new feature requests or product enhancements are welcome too. Don't post non-constructive complaints, polls, or petitions." Protecting the screen is constructive advice, and it is very relevant, if Ashok likes the black nano, that everything else is sadly white.

FROM THE PHONE DUMMY:  What comes with the monthly phone charge.  Internet?  Email?  Ect?  Is there extra charges for these?

internet, email, sending/receiving pics, facebook, twitter, etc are using part of the basic 2 gig allowance for data.
many folks use wi-fi at home/work/any place with wi-fi & that isn't using any of the data.

I recently bought my iPad Air in Dubai but it does not come with FaceTime installed. Is there any way I can download it?

You can't download FaceTime. It is a preinstalled app. If you live an a country where it is restricted - that is why you do not have the app on the iPad.

  • What comes with my ipod touch gen5 if it is ordered online?

I would like to purchase an ipod touch gen 5 from the online store, but I do not know what comes with it. When I start to customize, it asks me what kind of accessories I would like, but they cost extra. So I would like to know what is included with the 199$ 16 GB version. And also I have been told that the 16 GB version does not come with a backside camera. I have a lot of questions and just would like some more information please.

    What’s in the box
    iPod touch
    iPod touch loop
    (sold separately for 16GB model)
    Apple EarPods

  • My 2011 MacBook Pro 13 inch didn't come with an install disk?

I opened up my MacBook Pro today as a christmas present. All was going well, until I wanted to do Boot Camp. Well, since the Windows support software download always starts to hang, (My internet isn't slow) I can't get the drivers installed. Windows is installed perfectly, however. I'm just really curious on why it didn't come with an Install disk.

If you're completely computer savvy, here you go:
    See this.
You should also make yourself a USB recovery assistant first.

  • I bought a used MacBook Pro and didn't come with an install disc.

I recently purchased a used MacBook Pro, it is the 2006 15.4inch, with 1.83GHz Intel core duo processor. It didn't come with RAM, a charger or the instal disc and the battery was dead. I installed RAM, bought a battery and charger and it booted up no problem, but I can't get past the login because I don't know the previous owners password. How do I get passed this point so? What OSX do I buy?

In the mean time try this: Run Mac Setup Assistant -
Restart the machine with the Command and S keys held down, and type the following commands into the prompt in order:
    mount -uw /
    mv /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb.old
    mv /var/db/.AppleSetupDone /var/db/.AppleSetupDone.old
    usr/libexec/create_nidb
    shutdown -h now
The Setup Assistant will reappear the next time your computer is turned on. Be sure to enter the commands properly. You will be able to setup your user name password, etc. You can then delete the previous owners User.

  • Anyone had any success with rapid install of NW14 on SQL2005?

    Folks,
I installed NW14 on a clean machine. However, I still cannot get SAP to communicate with SQL 2005 correctly. I would appreciate it if someone could help me.
    Here is what I did:
    1. Created a new virtual machine with enough RAM and hard disk.
    2. Installed Windows 2003 (with the latest service pack)
    3. Installed SQL 2005 (with the latest service pack). Picked the right collation order required for SAP.
    4. Installed JDK 1.4.2.17
    5. Went through SAP rapid install for Windows and SQL Server.
The installation went through fine. I did not have even one error. After the install, I could see that instance 0 and instance 1 are both running. Green indicator under MMC.
I could also logon to the portal from the local machine.
The problem is that I could not connect using SAP GUI. The error I get is port sapdp00 is not found.
Services file does contain this entry.
When I run netstat, I can see that sapdp01 is available. However, sapdp00 is not present at all.
On someone's suggestion, I ran r3trans -d. The error I got was that dbms/type is not defined.
I set the environmental variable DBMS_TYPE to mss and ran r3trans once again. This time, the error I get is that it is not able to load dbmsslib.dll.
I shouldn't be running into such problems. I am wondering if I missed some major step after the rapid install. Is there a post-install configuration I need to run?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Peter

Did you try a Reset while it is connected to the wall charger? Hold down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the OFF slider if it appears, wait for the Apple logo. Should take about 10 seconds, leave it on the charger for about 30 minutes before trying this.
If that doesn't work get it serviced/replaced.
