Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If it fails, please try it again but increase the wait time in step 4 to 2 hours, and perhaps as long as 3-4 hours. Sometimes this can recalibrate the battery meter.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

    Hi,
What type of encryption does the Blackberry z10 use when doing device ecryption? My Blackberry is not on the BES server but just used as normal consumer device.

  • What is the latest version in the Blackberry Z10 operating system?

What is the latest version in the Blackberry Z10 operating system?
I read in the internet that there is an update to the BB OS but when I run the update on my device it gives me a message saying that I have the latest software; i.e.. 10.0.10.82
Is this the latest, and if not, how can I get the device updated?

The latest version available at the moment is 10.0.10.99 but updates are carrier dependent.
So you have the latest version available for your carrier. Keep in mind that some small updates may not be applicable to your phone model or carrier network.

  • Importing Certificates into Blackberry Z10 Key Store.

Currently, on the development network, we have stood up a BES10 server with a few Blackberry Z10 phones deployed. Using BES10, we are able to push the Root CA certificate for our developmental CA. We are currently unable to import the client's certificates (identity, encryption or signing) in *.p12 or *pfx format onto the device. We have tried numerous methods with limited success. Originally, we emailed a certificate using the work email exchange server and were able to view the certificates on the BB device. We are even able to select "Import certificate," submit the correct password and are presented with a messages stating "Certificate successfully imported." However, looking at the trust store or the S/MIMIE settings, none of the client's certificates are avaliable.
After some research, we followed the steps highlighted in tech support listed at http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/47561/als1342708099072.jsp. After following the instructions on screen, selecting the appropriate certificates to import and presenting the correct PIN, the device attemps to import the certs. The device then states "0/3 certificates succesfully imported" and the process has failed.
Is there a log file avaliable to see what is causing the import to fail or is there an additional step we are missing? Any support would be helpful, thank you in advance.

    Hey Shah_jeet,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Are you importing the certificate using a USB connection or using a Wi-Fi connection?
    Thanks.

My Z10 (OS 10.1.0.4181) has decided to delete, from all my email account , each emails from july to today!!!! It's unacceptable!!! I have paid 700 Euro for a smartphone that delete my email?! It has deleted also emails from the server!!!
    WTF!!!
Who pay for damage that I had?! So Blackberry, wake up! I am so disappointed!
I pretend an answer from blackberry!!! Now!!!!

    Hey alexsgv,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
What type of email accounts are added to the BlackBerry Z10?  Are they all POP3 and IMAP accounts?  Also when a message is removed from the BlackBerry smartphone it will remove it from the mail server, this is by design.
Did you do any software updates recently?
I look forward to your reply.
    Cheers.

  • Unable To Update blackberry z10 os to 10.2 from 10.0.10.82!!

    Hello!
I purchased new blackberry z10 2 days before.
And I have software version 10.0.10.82 installed on my z10.
And I was trying to update to update it to 10.2 from yesterday but was unable to do it.
I tried all three methods available, (on the web, ota, blackberry link)
On the OTA option, device downloads the full update but at the STEP 2(installing) it fails and gives an error- failed to update, please try again.
And when I tried updating on bb link, i got this error when download is being running at any level of percentage like it happened at 16% then 24% - "an error has occurred while downloading software for your device. please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."
Same error occurred on the option of "On the web".
I am attaching snapshots, please help me what to do now.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Blackberry Z10 became extremely slow after OS update to version 10.3.1.2243

    Hi,
My Blackberry Z10 became extremely slow after OS update to version 10.3.1.2243. For example it sends text message 10-15 seconds after send button has been hit.
Can not answer the phone when a caller is calling (answer slide interface is unrespnsovie), if I want to launch any application screen turns black and nothing happens, etc.
    Does anyone experience similar issues?
    Thank you.
    Michal.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
A quick read of this site will answer your final question quite clearly. The "fix" depends on several factors, but given what you describe I recommend you immediately update, via AutoLoader, to the most recent version (.2582)...some of the prior versions contain some particularly challenging issues, which are reported to be fixed in this version.
Good luck and let us know!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Access to the data on the device requires that the device be functioning, which is exactly what it cannot do. This simply proves out that backups, like insurance, are neither a reactive nor an optional activity.

  • Blackberry z10 maps language issue

    Hi aneeahbtr,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Could you please provide some more detail so I can assist you better?
What region are you located in? Has your location recently changed?
Were any changes made to your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone before this issue started? Were any applications installed or updated or any settings changed?
Are you seeing the Arabic display only in the BlackBerry Maps application?
In Settings > Location Services are Location Services on?
In Settings > Language and Input, are your language and region set correctly?
I look forward to your response.

In Settings > Language and Input, are your language and region set correctly? I look forward to your response.Glad that you are looking forward for our response.... well, here is our response. Even though your 'solution' made no sense, I went through all that and guess what... nothing  The problem is not that I want to change the language settings of the Maps application (which is what you are prompting us to do), but rather the display language for the maps. Now, I could do that (and actually I did it) with my old curve 8920 and this is how: http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/32608/Change_lang_maps_1422233_11.jsp  So you tell me what was the reasoning in removing this option... to make us all learn French, Arabic, Urdu, Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Afghani?!! Are you serious!?

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your device.
Under Settings>About>OS what's your current software version?
Does this happen with all contacts you try to text or with a specific one?
If to a specific contact, are there many texts within the chat? Lots of photos?
