What components make up the services repository?

Hello,
I am looking for information on the services repository in Netweaver.
Can you point me to any documents which describe the enterprise services or web services repository? How do you publish and access  a service and is the repository UDDI compliant?  Where do you locate WSDL files?
Any pointers you have would be helpful, thanks,
John.

The web services repository for Netweaver is built into WAS 6.40.  On SDN, there is a web services section under Web Application Server, you may want to check into that area.
The UDDI directory on WAS is UDDI compliant.  In addition, it was developed based on standards that Microsfot and SAP were a strong part of creating.  If you look at the UDDI directory on WAS and Windows 2003 Server, you will see striking similarities.
I've struggled to find good documentation on WAS UDDI on SDN.  I do know it is installed as part of the WAS.  You can manually load services into the WAS UDDI through a front end, and you can search for them as well.  The UDDI also provides a programmatic way to load and find services (via web services).  However, at this point I'm unable to find any documentation on that.
I hope this gives you some help, though I understand I've not answered all your questions.

  • What exactly makes up the 4gb limit in XE

In regard to the Oracle 4GB limit, what exactly is this limit?
Is this the total size of the datafiles of the user defined tablespaces (excluding SYSTEM and UNDO) so if, for example, we have a 2.8Gb datafile, can we only add another 1.2Gb datafile.
or is it the total size of extents/segments in the user defined tablespace i.e. if we have a 2.8Gb datafile but the database data comes to only 1.7Gb, can we add another tablespace with a new 2.8Gb datafile to allow for another 1.7Gb schema.
    Any clarification would be appreciated.

Why not use the Search function of this forum? Just pick the 2nd Re: 10g Xe  4Gb data size limit which should answer your question.

  • Enterprise Service Repository

    Hi,
I like to know the differences in between Enterprise Service Repository and Integration Repository (XI)?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kamaljeet Singh

    hi Kamaljeet,
ESR is a meta data repository, meaning that it stores data that describes other data. The meta data inside the ESR is then used by development tools, modeling tools, operational management tools, and by other services to help them do their jobs. The ESR has also been given the job of storing descriptions of business objects and models that show how services work together in process components.
Perhaps the best way to quickly understand the ESR is to list all the different types of metadata stored in in and quickly explain how that data is used.
Type of data and How it is used as follows:
Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) files These files describe the service interfaces of enterprise services and are used by development tools and during run-time to look up interface definitions.
Business Object Descriptions Business objects are used in modeling to show what structures exist in an application that are implementing services.
Process Component Models This data describes models that show how enterprise services work together to implement business processes. These models show how a service is used and what business objects implement the service.
It is important to remember that services are not implemented in the ESR. The ESR holds descriptions of services that are then implemented in applications that are separate from the repository.

  • I have installed the itunes but is not installing the Apple Mobile Device service it always that i try to install the itunes i have the same problem the error that appears is that the installer can run the service but the service is never installed

Hi i have a problem I try to update my iphone but i can not do it, because every time that i try to install itunes appear an error that can start the Apple Mobile Deviece, and I could see that this service is never installed so that's why the installer can make run the services, does anybody know why this happen? My OS is windows 7, and I'm getting mad because i can update my music in my iphone thanks.

    Hello Skip Grantham,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • About the runtime repository?

    Hi,
I'm confused by the runtime repository?
what was stored in the runtime repository when i deployed a map to a location?
i have two warehouse targets in my owb project.when i was deploying a map,a error occured.
    following was the error description:
"Cannot deploy to the target location because it is owned by a different runtime platform."
the map is used to load data from one table in a target warehouse to a table in another target warehouse.
who can tell me the reason? thanks in advance!

    Hi,
The runtime repository owns a set of targets. So for each target you can deploy only using the runtime repository that has this target schema registered to it.
It sounds like your target schema is therefore not managed by this runtime repository. You would have to register the target schema to this repository using the runtime assistant. Simply install a target into the existing target user.

  • Service repository and SAP ES Workspace

Is it possible to have access to the service repository within the ES workspace?
I have an account with access to other parts of the system but not to http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcesiesperui/Menu which I believe is the service repository.
    Edited by: Watmough12345 on Jun 22, 2011 2:43 PM

    Yes,
    Use this URL: http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcesiesperui/Menu?j_username=sruser&j_password=eswork123
    User: sruser
    Password: eswork123
Even if you open  http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com it will redirect you to above url and no user/password required.

  • What are the components of ESA Enterprise Services Architecture

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Azeem,
The components of ESA could depend on the kind of solution you are trying to implement. However, if your question is regarding the tools that SAP provides to accomplish the ESA paradigm then they are the following:
    1) Enterprise Services Repository (ESR): In a typical SOA scenario, this is where you would define your Service Interfaces. A corresponding WSDL file will be generated accordingly. At this point there is no backend implementation for your Interface.
    2) Backend implementation: This Service interface in ESR can then be implemented in the backend system. Once implemented, SAP systems provide the option of directly publishing this implementation to a Services Registry.
    3) Services Registry: This is a part of the NW Composition Environment and registers all web services published onto it. It is used as a single source for services for an organisation and has capabilities to configure governance processes for these services based on their classifications.
    4) Composition Environment: This contains the tools one would need to consume the services from the Services Registry and create composite applications. It provides tools like WebDynpro, Guided Procedures, Visual Composer, CAF etc to accomplish the same.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Romit

I Try registering my card in order to use the services of Itunes so that always appears refused payment method, what should I do?

If you are referring to a credit card and it being refused, then something is probably wrong with the entry of the card or your account information. It is not matching what is on file for your account. Generally this is the address field. Make sure it matches what you see on your bill exactly. Otherwise, you need tocontact iTunes support. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

What does it mean when there is a 1x beside the service bars?

    Hello redaunt,
Thanks for sharing your signal concern with us. We want to do everything that we can to ensure that you are able to enjoy your wireless service. That's our commitment to you and I want to make good on it. Currently, there isn't any issues reported in this area. May I ask is the issue indoors, outdoors, or both? Also, is it only affecting data services or is voice services affected as well? If you can be so kind as to share the details along with the iOS can carrier version that's installed on the iPhone 5S then we can customize a solution for you.
