What constitutes as a download error?

When viewing the analytics for All Downloads there is a section of the graph that represents errors. What would constitute as an error? Thanks!

I would like to know this as well. I have an app that just launches last week, so my sample isn't very big yet. But the anaylitics show a higher rate of download errors than successful purchases of an issue.

Trying to install Adobe Scout on a Windows 7 64-bit machine via the free Gaming SDK CC account. When attempting to download it errors out with a (-7). Although I can contact customer support, in the meantime I was wondering what (-7) means since a search of:

I'm helping a client of mine. He's on a managed corporate network. As far as I know he's on Windows 7 64-bit. That being said:
1. Do you have a link to information on how to upgrade the Creative Cloud application? (FYI, he's starting from scratch via Adobe Scout CC and the free Gaming SDK so I would assume that an upgrade would be unnecessary)
2. If you are on a managed network, what are the limitations? For instance which ports need to be opened in the firewall for the Creative Cloud application manager to work? What are the other issues that can be encountered?
3. If it is an issue due to being a managed corporate network, what is the alternative install process for Adobe Scout CC?

What does the update download error message "there was an error downloading this update" mean?

Trying to download and install updates to CS5. Everything looked normal, got the progress bars for downloading and installing the updates. Then at the very end received message that the update failed to install because there was an error downloading the update. This has happened repeatedly. Just completed a clean install of the OS (Win 8.1) and CS5. Appears the update manager created the required folders. A subfolder for each of the CS5 apps was created in the AAMupdater folder. Each of the apps had a subfolder, but contained only a XML file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network. For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Hi all! I rented a movie and it actually partially downloaded but the connection must have not been very good because it never fully downloaded. I actually watched a little of it thinking it would just finish eventually but it never did and now it just keeps trying to download the whole movie again and gives me a "download error. tap to retry" message after about an hour.(I'm back home now and have a great connection) I have tried deleting the video and gone back to the Itunes store to even re-rent the movie but it just says "downloading". Not sure what to do next, it seems to have fallen into a loop that it can't get out of. I have also tried turning off the Ipad and turning it back on but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?? I can't seem to find any help on the support website.

However, recent changes at Adobe require that a person join the "Technology Partner Program" in order to get access to the Debug version of InDesign.
This is by invitation only. I'll repeat that because it's important. You can only join the Technology Partner Program if you are invited to join.
Only someone who works at Adobe can invite you.
What this means is that you should talk to your Adobe contact and ask if they would be willing to sponsor you in joining the Technology Partner Program. You can then email [email protected] with the name and contact details of your sponser so that you can join. You'll then be assessed to see if you can join the program or not.
Once you have joined then you be given access to the Debug version of InDesign.

What operating system?
With Windows, best practice is to restart your computer, open the Application Manager as Administrator (via right clicking) and install the updates.

Try closing iTunes and reset your iPad. After the iPad starts up, try the download again.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the iTunes app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

There are a couple things that I would recommend trying. Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device. Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below. If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in. Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.
