What do Adobe employees mean when they say that customers didn't like CS when it first came out?

Every time I hear an Adobe employee try to defend CC they usually talk about a time when everyone hated the idea of the creative suite. Later these people all changed their minds when Adobe showed them what an incredible value the suite was. Maybe my memory is failing me here but I don’t recall ANYONE complaining about the idea of a design suite, not a single person. Certainly no where near the vitriol hatred that people are showing towards CC.
Everybody seems to understand the concept of buying in bulk. Just yesterday I needed a new stick of deodorant, when I was at the store they gave me the option of getting a discount if I bought four sticks of deodorant. It seemed like a good deal to me so I bought all four. We have been doing the same thing with software. Microsoft had been selling their Office suites long before Adobe put out CS so when CS came out it was warmly accepted. When MS tried the rental approach it was flat out rejected in the past and now Adobe is being overwhelmingly rejected today. They seem to have this attitude that if people would only try it they would like it but the approach has been tried and customers overwhelming didn’t go for it.

No, your memory is fine. The CS concept was accepted quite nicely as it offered a true partnership between the developer and end user ... with a discount for the user in supporting multiple titles. It was a win-win for both sides of the equation ... Adobe sold more apps, users received a price break over buying the apps separately.
Conversely ... CC doesn't offer any equity to the user whatsoever ... as Adobe wishes to be rewarded for their efforts no matter what they offer in the area of future updates, new and or improved features. Prior to CC, if a user did not deem new versions as worthy of paying the price to upgrade because that particular version did not offer any advancements, they could pass until there was a viable and worthy reason to invest further in Adobe's efforts. Plus, with CC, the user is left empty handed should they opt out of the subscription.
CC ensures Adobe will profit ... users? ... not so much ...
While users do receive something for thier monthly stipend to Adobe ... the traditional partnership of vendor and end user, the scales have tipped decisively in favor of the vendor.

    So many issues here!
    1. You should never ever change the name of your Home icon - that's the short name of your User Account which is a total no-no. (Why don't Apple issue a grim warning when users try to do this?). Check out these old discussion threads which may contain something of interest or help :

    2. This needs recovering from - see the first discussion thread (above). Your User Account is being treated as a new one, but your old data should be there - read the discussion
    3. You must have been close to a full HD even before this happened? This is inadvisable - you should always have around 10% of your HD free, or at the very least, OS X will start to slow down dramatically.
    Hopefully the first thread above will point you to a fix of your problem.

    As I mentionned in my question, I have lost my iPhone I'm feeling very dumb, it is the second time that this happens to me and I really need your help! I don't even know what happened, but when I arrived home after school, I didn't find my phone. The fact is that I was sure to have take it with me, but I haven't, as I see. I went on the apple site: "location of my iPhone" and they told me that my cellphone was out of service. Now, I really don't know what to do and what to think. I serched everywhere, in my car, everywhere in my house, I even went outside to check, but i live in Quebec and it is snowing a lot this winter, so maybe I just didn't see it... Anyways, I'm really scared cause I have 3G on my phone and now they say that I'm not connected to 3G anymore, neither any other internet service. I'm freaking right now. Does that mean that my cellphone is broke, stuck in the snow, or just somewhere that I'm never gonna find out? I'm imagining all the worst possibilities so if you don't want me to die soon, please, help me (try to reassure me if it is possible but if is not, tell me the truth anyways).

    You're welcome.
    Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.
    You may never find it again and you can't if the iPhone remains offline or out of service which means the iPhone is powered off or doesn't have cellular reception.

    Just that. The iPad allocates a certain amount of power to that port. If the device you're trying to plug in wants more than the iPad is willing to give, it'll trigger that warning.
    If it's something that you just must hook up you can try using a powered USB hub, but results are mixed at best.
    What are you trying to hook to your iPad?

    Alright, my (long-term) gig has ended very abruptly and I'm looking for work. Hunting around the web for stuff to apply for (Mandy.com, Craigslist, etc), I've noticed that folks seem to want links to online reels or samples emailed to them.
    As far as online reels, I get it. Mostly. I'm just a little lost when it comes to signing up for web space. Any video-friendly recommendations for a now totally-broke editor? I can work the HTML to build a site - that ain't no thing - but most of the low-end sites that I see have pretty puny bandwidth limits. I think ya'll can sympathize when I say that 200MB a month just doesn't cut it.
    Also, what is the deal with emailing samples? Anyone ever had to do that? I don't do the 30-sec spot thing (which you can get down to size and still retain some quality), most of my stuff is long-form, so any advice in terms of compression codecs and settings?
    Basically, I'm working off the idea that files need to be, say, 8MB or smaller. Is that right? Or do I just not get the idea of 'emailing samples?' (Multiple, smaller files OK?)
    My reel - which doesn't really demonstrate what I can do, but that's a whole 'nother thread - is 16 minutes long in DVD form. I think I can shave off 3.5 minutes from that, if need be. But how do I get 12.5 minutes to somebody via email?
    Any insight or experiences are appreciated.

    What I have found is their servers are very fast, and have worked flawlessley for general clips, as well as client previews. I've actually found that, be previewing via the web, it sped up the editing process. No more, "well, I could come this afternoon and look at it, but I can't be there until 4." They just look at it at their desk and done. It's also made me able to hold onto a lot of my California based clients after I moved back to Iowa. Anyway. I'm rambling. Their servers are fast.

    This is a wireless carrier issue.  The fact that the speaker & microphone work properly for other apps is a great indicator that your device is fine.
    Contact your wireless carrier about your call quality issue.

    You need to go back to the person you bought it from. Sounds like they may have sold you phone that is not as described.
    Did you check the warranty status before purchasing it?

    I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.
