  • [svn:bz-trunk] 11030: Tweak the deserialization of ASObjects to treat an empty string for the type of an object as null .

    Revision: 11030
    Author:   [email protected]
    Date:     2009-10-20 11:35:02 -0700 (Tue, 20 Oct 2009)
    Log Message:
Tweak the deserialization of ASObjects to treat an empty string for the type of an object as null. It appears that there is some logic in the LC remoting code that relies on a non-null class name to always exist. This change reverts to the old behavior of not allowing empty string as a value for the ASObject.namedType.
This should fix bug 2448442 and its duplicates caused by the recent serialization changes.
I don't think this is the perfect fix. Pending further investigation, a better fix would be either:
    a. If it's OK to assume that empty string should always mean null for the type of the ASObject, the code that enforces it should be in the setter/getter inside ASObject and not in the deserializer.
    b. ASObject doesn't guarantee that a named type exists or is valid. In that sense an empty string is as bad as some random characters that cannot be a valid class name in java, so depending on how disruptive it may be, the fix should be in any logic that uses ASObject.getType().

    Hi Pavan,
"In your payload there is no namespace prefix for the elements under PayloadHeader element."
Yes, you are right - but this message is standard AQ Adapter Header message - it's not defined by me. I just used message which was automatically added to my project when I have defined AQ Adapter.
"In your process is the default namespace is same as namespace value of tns ??"
Do you mean targetNamespace? If yes it's different as it points to process "targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/PF_SOA_jws/PF_APPS/APPS_PROCESS" (names of application and process have changed as I try different ways to do that)
    ns1 is: xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/aq/PF_SOA/PF_APPS/PO_AQ"
"another thing is tns and ns1 should have same values.."
When I create a variable of header type, namespace ns1 is automatically created for it. I set it as property of receive activity. When process is instantiated on the serwer I get the error in which you can see that namespace is tns.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't see how I could fix this in my process.
You can see that the message I get on the server has nothing in common with the application/project/process names. Is it possible to define such variable?
    Regards
    Pawel
    PS:
In Transformation xsl file, both variables (source and target) has tns namespace for Header and PayloadHeader, and no namespace for subfields.

What all is needed for this type of Flash Design Studio.
There are a couple of sites out there that use both flash and
shockwave. I am looking ot get somethign like this started and need
some help getting pointed in the right direction. here are some
    examples:

    Rclarkhaddock,
    > What all is needed for this type of Flash Design Studio.
    There
    > are a couple of sites out there that use both flash and
    shockwave.
Of the examples you showed, I saw Flash (Adobe Flash),
    Shockwave (Adobe
Director), and JavaScript, but never a combination on the
    same site. (It
might make sense to combine Flash with JavaScript or
    Shockwave with
JavaScript, but not really to combine Flash with Shockwave.)

Any of the above technologies will do it. You could also use
    a Java
applet or even a .NET solution of some kind, so the choice
    you take will
depend largely on what platform you want to support and code
    for. This sort
of project will require significant amounts of custom
    programming. My
personal approach would be to use Flash, mainly because of
    the popularity of
the plugin. The Shockwave example looks beautiful, and I
    started out years
ago using Director, but fewer people nowadays have the
    Shockwave plugin
installed. It doesn't look like any of the sites shown use 3D
    modeling,
which is the only relevant feature that Shockwave has over
    the other
approaches. JavaScript (probably some Ajax approach) would
    work -- as
seen -- but then you're dealing with compatibility issues
    among various
JavaScript implementations in the great variety of browsers
    out there.
Flash minimizes that, in my opinion.
All you really "need" to produce what you've seen is Flash
    and some sort
of database back end (MySQL, say), which means you'll need a
    bit of
middleware (PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, etc.) to act as your
    ambassador between
    Flash and the database.

  • What does "played" mean for podcasts and tv shows?

What does "played" mean for podcasts and tv shows, in terms of the settings menu where you say to synch only "unplayed" shows? Does it mean you started playing it, or that it has played all the way through?
And how does this relate to the "dots" next to podcasts in the menu? These dots seem to go away when you start listening, but do not finish, a podcast. Is this the same as "played"?
    Thanks!

    Kim,
When you say you just purchased Formscentral exactly what do you mean? Formscentral has not been sold as a stand alone product in a while due to the decision to close the service. If you got Formscentral as part of a Acrobat subscription then you need to know that that part of the subscription will go away partially in June and fully in July. If you have indeed managed to purchase Formscentral standalone recently can you please give me the information about your purchase such as the date of purchase and link to the site from which you purchased. Refunds are available to customers who are not able to use the service though their contract period.

  • Logical System Name is defined for which type of Business Sytem

    hi
Can some one helps me on this question and explaination.
Logical System Name is defined for which type of Business Sytem ?
    a.Third Party
    b.Web AS java
    c.WebAs abap
    d.Standalone java
    Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi ,
Logical System Name is defined for the Business System type WebAS ABAP.
It is used in ALE scenarios when exchanging IDOCs between the particular system and XI.  The IDOC adapter will pick up the information from the SLD and it can then be used in the configuration in the Communication Channel (Adapter Specific Identifiers).

  • What does hiding mean for generics in this situation....

The type parameter Object is hiding the type Object
    public interface PipelinePiece<Object> extends Listener<Object> {
        public void setListener(Listener<Object> l);
}I know this is not the most ideal code and E or something might be better than object, but I was having other problems writing a few classes that tie together as generics. I am just curious about the above warning and if there is a correction I can make to get rid of it?
    thanks,

but what if you want to deliberatly have a subclass that only accepts Listener<Object> or Listener<String>, etc. etc. Is this not possible then? or not advised.

  • What does a * mean for checktable in dd03l?

I  am looking at dd03l, there is a column checktable which tells the check table
For the filedname in a given table tabname.
I have seen following values in checkable:
    1. Blank u2013 no check table
    2. A table name such T005, it is the check table name
    3. * - a star
I do not know what is the meaning of a *.
    Appreciate your answer?

    Hello,
Did you check the "Supplementary Documentation" of the Data Element CHECKTABLE. It states & i quote:
The entry *  indicates that the domain has a value table but no foreign key has been maintained for the field.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt.

  • What it does mean with debug type is serial or debug type is usb or 1394?

    hi,
I was reading in windows 7 bible  about  updating global debugger setting ,
debug type can be serial ,or 1394, or usb  .
what it does mean exactly with telling debug type is serial or debug type is usb?
    thanks
    johan
    h.david

This is referring to the type of connection you are using to debug.
Serial -- uses a serial cable,  needs a connection to a 9 pin connector. This was the first out there, is still in use on Desktops,  not installed on laptops anymore.  Not much hardware supports serial anymore.
1394 -- refers to firewire.  Firewire was developed in the 90's (maybe late 80's).  This uses a firewire connection.  Not usually installed on Desktops,  sometimes still installed on laptops.
USB -- refers to a USB connection.  This is the most common connection you will find and use.  This is on its third standard now, called USB 3.0.  This is commonly used by cell phones, printers, Desktops, laptops, servers, and is used to connect
    keyboards, mouses, and other items.
    Hope this helps.

  • What does wireless mean for a printer?

I have an HP photosmart printer (sorry but I can't think of the model and I am not home) that has wireless capabilities.  What does this mean?  Does this mean that i can access the printer from my notebook, pda and other wireless devices through the wifi device that is in the printer or does it mean that only one computer can connect to the printer by wifi?

    It means really two things:
    1. You can connect up to 5 computers wirelessly with the printer (called ad-hoc networking).  Now, when those computers are connected with the printer they cannot be connected to any other wireless device (like a wireless router).
    2. The preferred method - connect your printer to a wireless router.  All computers connected (wired or wireless) to that router can use both the print and scan function (if applicable) of the device.

  • What does "wheel" mean for custom access

What does "wheel" mean when allowing custom access to a folder?

    wheel= admin
In computing, the term wheel refers to a user account with a wheel bit, a system setting that provides additional special system privileges that empower a user to execute restricted commands that ordinary user accounts cannot access. The term is derived from the slang term big wheel, referring to a person with great power or influence. It was first used in this context with regard to the TENEX operating system, later distributed under the name TOPS-20 in the 1960s and early 1970s.
The term was adopted by Unix users in the 1980s, due to the movement of operating system developers and users from TENEX/TOPS-20 to Unix. Modern Unix implementations generally include a security protocol that requires a user be a member of the wheel user privileges group in order to gain superuser access to a machine by using the su command.
