What do i do if i cannot go to my ipad home screen?

My ipad is stuck with the "itunes" icon an arrow with the picture of usb cord. I have tried restarting my ipad but the same picture comes up. I have also tried tapping the icon and holding it down. Nothing works. Any suggestions to get back to my home page would be aprpeciated.

That means that you have to restore the iOS software. Something went wrong on your iPad and you have to fix it now before you can use it.
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes if it does not start on its own. Read this.

I cannot move icons to the home screen

Pardon me if this is old, but I cannot find it here via search. I'm new to iPhone, having had Windows phones, Palm, and others in the past. Just picked this up today. Slick. It even makes AT&T look better. Here's my question.
I understand tap and hold to make the icons jiggle, then drag. Only problem is, I can move them to the right but not to the left--to the home screen. For example, I moved one of the default home screen icons to the second screen, leaving a hole. Now I'm trying to move an icon from the second screen into the hole I created. I can drag to the right and create a new screen, but it will not break through to the left onto the home screen.
Any clues as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

OK. My bad. I searched again and found it. Drag to the edge and hold it there for a couple seconds, and then it moves. Please excuse the ring.

What makes an iPad home screen "go big"? its like the screen has been pinched outwards

What would make an iPad screen "go big"? My son keeps experiencing an issue where the home screen will enlarge and freeze. I am unable to replicate this on any of our other apple products (iPhones and another iPad). Is it possible that he is pushing or clicking something that I dont know about? If so, what would that be? Is there somewhere in the settings menu that I could keep this from happening for him? Any advice or answers help. Thank you.

A quick double tap on the screen zoom in and makes the view bigger. But normally the screen doesn't freeze and it an be returned to normal with another double tap.

Try starting the movie using a backdoor approach.
Swipe down from the middle of any home screen in order to bring up the Spotlight Search Feature. Type in the name of the movie in the text field. When the movie appears in the search, tap on it and that should launch the videos app and hopefully the movie will being to play.

If you tap the book you should get a Library button at the top left of the book (and a few other icons should also show along the top) - does that not appear or does tapping it not take you back to the bookshelf ?
If not then try closing the iBooks app via the multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iBooks app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have only had this ipad for a month and while I am not sure I think it has been okay to print before 2 days ago, when I tried to print and I got the message "Airprinter not found" Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do about it? Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try updating the software again.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

Common on jailbroken iPhones, not so on non-jailbroken iPhones. Thus, if your phone is not jailbroken, restoring from backup will hopefully fix the issue.

The GB size of the download file is the compressed size (like .zip or .dmg). When the file is installed/uncompressed it can be 2-3 times larger.
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

I would suggest that you buy a visa or mastercard gift card and put a few dollars on it and use it to access the store. Just add money to it before you want to buy something from the store and it will act like a normal credit card for you.
