What do I do if it says "This is not your main iCloud ID" ?
I want to set "Find my Iphone" in my Mac but iCloud just lets me set my mail, contacts and calendars because it says "This is not your main iCloud ID" ? What can I do?
You are getting this message because you are attempting to create an iCloud account on a PC. You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account on your PC.
If you have a 4S, go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID to create your account. Then sign in with the same ID on the iCloud control panel on your PC. It should be accepted this time.

When I go to System Preferences -> iCloud, it says "This is not your primary iCloud account." I've seen this problem mentioned here a few times, but no answers, so I'll ask again. What does that mean? I was not aware I had more than one iCould account. The iCloud prefs panel only shows the one account, which is apparently not the primary one. The Details.. button does nothing. The Account Details button just shows the name on the account. How do I find out what my other iCloud account(s) is? Where did this other account even come from? How can I set my primary account so it works on my Mac?
Curiously, in the iCloud Settings on my iPad it says nothing about a primary account, and shows Bookmarks, iCloud storage, etc. all available (not available on my Mac). It shows the same name and email as my Mac does for the account, but no mention of it not being a primary account. Even more curious, I now seem to have 20 GB of storage through 9/30/50!I had the same notice on my iMac. I checked my iPhone and that is where my primary account is happening. In my iPhone Settings > General > Usage, scroll down to iCloud click on Manage Storage > Change Storage Plan. This is where you will find what your storage is, and what you can purchase to upgrade.

TS3988 incorrect this is not your primary icloud account
In preferences iclod icon shows incorrect primary account. When I select my mail a statement shows this is not your primary icloud account.
I am the primary account holder, I must have done something incorrect whe migrating to icloud.Go at https://appleid.apple.com and login to verify your account settings. It is possible that your AppleID is different than your iCloud email adress and you can verify this on the AppleID webpage.

Getting "This is not your primary iCloud account" when it is and works on another MacBook

I am seeing the following message in my iCloud preference pane:
"This is not your primary iCloud account"
When I know in fact it is my primary and my only account. I have it setup on my iPhone 4 and my work MacBook Pro and it is working correctly with the same account information on both of those.
Anybody else seeing this?I found rebooting to be the KEY item in this process. As long as I didn't reboot, it would never complete the process. As soon as the account is deleted from the mail, calendar, and contacts list, reboot, THEN go to the iCloud prefs screen and set things up....it works.

How do I fix this? It IS my primary account. I only have one, have only ever had one, the same one, same username, same password until kingdom come.

Try a soft-reset and see if it works after your phone has restarted (it seems ot have fixed the error for a number of people on here) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

I just bought a new hp printer. the software has a feature called HP web smart printing. The feature works on explorer but not on Firefox. HP says this is not their problem and suggested I contact Mozilla. Is an add on available and if not will one be made available.
I am using v. 3.6.13. and the printer is HP Officejet 4500.HP smart web printing is an application that only works with IE. In spite of what HP have told you, if they want their application to work with Firefox they will need to make a version for Firefox. It is not down to Mozilla to make a version of the HP software for Firefox.

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > enter your password > set Country/Region to US if your account was created in the US.

I have a new airbook, 10.7.4 LION, thunderbolt ethernet adapter and when trying to install 1.2.1 thunderbolt upgrade it says "this software not supported on this system"? Any advice on how to get the adapter to work?

If you purchased the computer before 2010, your computer hasn't got Thunderbolt, so you can't use it -
