Try resetting the password, even a number of times, until it takes. It took the third attempt on a family member's iPad before it was successful!

You can contact iTunes support by going to this page, selecting iTunes > iTunes Store and sending them the details. Just so you know, the people on these forums are just other Apple product users like yourself, Apple does not generally answer questions here.

Because that is the only way to solve your issue. It told you to contact them. You must contact them. No one else can solve the issue. They asked you to contact them for a reason.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1You will need to do what it says, contact iTunes support. Click the Support tab above, then the Get Started link in the Contact Apple Support area and you'll be guided. We are all just fellow users here and so have no idea about the cause of the issue nor any ability to resolve it for you.

i just set up an apple id acct n i verified the account but when i try to download a app it says my acct isnt verified. how do i fix that?
- To change ID go to Settings>Store and sign out and sign in with the one you want. If you iPod has iOS 5 you may have to also go to Settings>iCloud and sign into the second account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
