What do I do my Ipod is not working anymore?
okay so about less than a year ago my iPods screen broke and I paid $100 to get a refurbished one, so now it's been a while and it's not working properly anymore. I need to touch things several times before it can open the app, also the music app is not working I already tried everything possible even changed it back to factory settings but it's still the same. So now the problem is I want to change my ipod, yes I bought the 2 year warranty AppleCare but I have not transferred the warranty to the refurbished ipod so I need to figure that out. thanks any help is appreciated.

If not transfered then you have to contact Apple

Since you said yo restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

My Ipod is not working, It was working find and suddenly it does not turn on anymore. It does not responde when it is plugged in. I can see it is not the first case, somebody has received an answer that works? Some similarities in the ipods? thanks for your help.

Ipod touch not working anymore.
My ipod touch 3g has seize to work properly. This all started when i restore my ipod from the setting ipod we area. After i did this, my ipod stayed on the itunes logo with usb screen. I tried doing a restore through itunes, but keep getting error code 1604. I have tried various methods to try and fix this issue, like restoring it from a different computer, putting it in dfu mode, etc. Since none of this works, i decided to go to apple support and get online service so i can get a replacement or get it fixed. Turns out, when i go to the last step in the process, i recieve a message that states that the service is not currently available, and that i should try again later. Anyone able to help me out on this? I don't want to pay for phone support because apple is obligated to give me online support since i still have a year warranty. Dont want to go a apple store since the closest one is 2 hours away. Thank you.
I have exactly the same problem.Tried same restore methods with same results.Got in touch with a local sevice specialist and they couldn't help me.The next problem i have is that my ipod is 1 month out of warranty and at £300 i'm not happy at all.If anyone could help it would be appreciated.Thank you

I have plugged it in to the computer and nothing shows up on my computer. I have tried the suggested things it says to do and nothing works.I would try and get the iPod into Disk Mode. You can learn how to do that here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363
If you are able to get it into Disk Mode, you should be able to get it to show up in iTunes, and then you can restore it.

Check your firewall settings and any anti virus software you have (especially if it's McAfee). Try with these off. -

I had an old iPod Classic (60 KB) as a gift but it went dead, I dropped it a few times accidentally, and it sat carefully saved until I had sufficient resources, energy and time to get the matter addressed. In my case, I actually took the thing (after making sure it was charged) to an Apple store and one of the geniuses at the genius bar at the back of the store took it and did a few things (unseen and un-noted) with his fingers and handed it to me with a sly smile. Voila, the thing was functional. I got a re-functionalized iTunes account and store access when I bought my iMac. I did lose a few tunes along the way because it didn't recognize my new iMac as the source (my old dead PC laptop), but I have a more functional memory than the iPod and recovered them all in other ways. The whole thing is humming better than ever. At over 11 gb full, I have 4.2 days worth of portable listening. Be patient; it took me four years to get musical nirvana in a pocket, but you'll get there faster. Call support.

After updating my iPod touch 3rd generation to IOS5 some default apps are not working (anymore)

I updated my iPod touch 3g from IOS 4.x to IOS 5 last week and since then my iPod makes troublle!
First of all, during the update I did not see any Problems. After the update, I mean the step where the data will be restored to the iPod, I synchronized some APPS at the same time, maybe that was a big mistake. My iPod makes hard resets many times in a loop until it frozes.
So the only thing I could do here is pressing the home button and the power switch at the same time until it gets rebooted. The sync started again and it looked like everything runs fine.
As I tried to use iMessage first time I realised the first Problem: I am unable to loginto iMessage with my Apple ID. My Apple ID runs fine, I can by Apps and so on. I also enabled iCloud to see that my Apple ID is ok. But logging into iMessage I put in my Apple credentials and Password, click on next, wait 3 seconds and the screen flips back. So this feature is not working.
Next issue I see is that randomly my iPod hard resets itself. Even if I don't do anything with my iPod I can see that it resets itself, booting with the apple icon. This happens minimum three times a day... (Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV), Kern_INVALID_ADDRESSat 0x00000000)
Today I tried YouTube, an internal Application which I cannot reinstall. It's not working anymore, starting YouTube says: Unable to connect to YouTube!
I have no clue whats going on here because email and web is working fine.
In my eyes I would like to reset the whole device to a state before running IOS5 and I would try the update again. But my Question is how to reinstall IOS5?
If IOS5 will not run smoothly on my iPod, I would prefer to backref to iOS4x.
Is there anyone who could help me out here?

DanielFound the rootcause. The battery was damaged and unable to have enough power to keep the device alive. After changing the device problem is solved.

problem is this is my second due to a faulty battery on the first which apple exchanged free of charge for me so I ma not sure if I am entitled to another ipod or what!!!
