What do I do when I already bought something on iTunes for my ipad 2 but don't have enough memory?

I bought the box set of Breaking Bad Season 2 for my iPad 2 but I don't have enough memory. It only downloaded one show. What can I do?

Are you sure that you have that much space? Setting>General>Usage>Storage. Did you check that in order to confirm how much space you have left?
If you do have the space, try restarting or resetting your iPad and see if you can download the movie.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

Delete some stuff to make room on the device.
iCloud is not local storage and has nothing to do with your situation.

What sort of "storage" did you buy? If you are referring to iCloud storage, that does not change the amount of storage on your iPhone. You will have to delete things from your iPhone to be able to add more apps. If you want to have music in the cloud rather than on your iPhone, you need to subscribe to iTunes Match, after which you will be able to stream music rather than keeping it on your iPhone, though of course you'll need an internet connection to do so and can burn through your cell service data allowance rather quickly if you play a lot of music and don't have WiFi available.

Why it's like that I don't think that Apple have said (these are user-to-user forums). If you haven't downloaded it on your iPad then have you checked to see if you can download it on your computer's iTunes (Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option) or Apple TV ?
