When I tried to download an app that was 0.99 cents it asked me to answer some security question. I put in my password and the questions popped up( I don't remember ever giving an answer to these questions).      2. Fill out and submit this form. Select the topic, Account Security. You must

     3. This is the only option if you do not already have a valid Rescue Email.

You will have to contact iTunes Support and tell them you have forgotten your Security Questions and need them reset. They will respond to you by email, usually within 24 hours. Here are two links to contact iTunes Support:

I have an iPod 5th generation and it is my second iPod but when I try to buy a song it says I need to answer security questions but they are ones I don't recognize or know the awnser to!! Help!!

My second iPod is a 5th generation and when I try to buy something it says it needs make sure I am who I say I am and it makes me answer security questions. But the problem is I don't know the answers to them. I did not choose them. And if I can't find an answer I can't buy anything!!! Help!!!!

The email address that shows for the reset link will be the rescue email address that you put on your account. What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
