does anyone know what to do when your ipad 2 gets frozen on the apple logo after updating the software of ios4 to ios 7?

If reset doesn't work, force your iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

You took a backup on your computer's iTunes prior to starting the backup, or you have a recent backup ? And you have all of the apps that you had on the iPad in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library - none of your iTunes downloads are included in a backup (that contains apps settings and contents), the restore will look to pick them up from your iTunes library.
To restore select the iPad on your computer's iTunes and either do File > Devices > Restore From Backup
Or on its Summary tab in iTunes click the 'Restore Backup' button

i was trying to update to IOS 8.0.2 and it failed and i had enough memory and full battery. it went into recovery mode and the i tunes symbol in the begging it turned red. it said that i need to restore it to get it out of recovery but when is try to restore it , it says i cant because its in recovery. i have tried holding the home button, turning of/on , and holding the home and power button till the apple comes out. please help

In two email accounts, the msgs that are downloadednjust disappear when the ipad is turned off. They are not in the trash file, but just gone.

I have an itouch that has the same two email accounts as I trying to use on the ipad. Same accounts are set up on a desktop computer (almost never sync either one with it) and an android smartphone. The itouch keeps msgs on it in the inbox (both accounts) and in the trash folders until I delete them...........same with the android phone.
If I download msgs to either account to the desktop where it is set up to remove them from the ISP server, then I understand they won't come to any of the other devices, but the android phone and the itouch will have them in their in boxes (they come in through the wireless router here at the house.
The problem I'm having is that the ipad is set uo just like the itouch, but it sure acts differently with regard to email.. This morning, it had about 40 msgs on one account that I use for aviation and vietnam list groups and then checking it about two hours later, all of them were gone,,,,,,,just gone and all the folders were empty. I had not used the desktop computer during that time.
I've deleted both email accounts and started over from scratch a couple of times and that hasn't fixed the problem.............

You should calibrate your battery once a month for proper reporting of battery status.
Run the battery down from 100% until it shut off.

Ipad does not turn off after ios7 update

I recently updated my ipad 2 to the iOS 7.3 update. I left it alone to update because I knew it would take some time. I set it up and then had to leave my ipad to take care of my baby. I came back and it wouldn't turn on. I figured it had run out of juice so I charged it all day today and it still won't turn on.

press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple icon is displayed, then let go.

Unless you have a backup from which you can restore, yes you will lose all of your data and settings.
You should be able to sync your content back to the iPad if you have been syncing with iTunes all along. If you don't sync with iTunes, you can download much of your paid content again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID. This explains downloading past purchases.

Follow the process mentioned below step by step to get your iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad working.
Make sure you have Latest Version of iTunes (11.1.3) Downloaded and Installed on your Computer, if not then you can download the latest version of iTunes from the Link below.
