What do i need to communicate with E5EK Temperature controller via RS232C

Im new to Lookout, Is there existing object class for Omron E5EK,

Lookout does not have an existing driver for this particular controller. There is however an Omron driver object that can communicate to models C20, C200, C500, C1000, C2000, CQM, CPM1.

  • How to make Instron Bluehill (strain controller) communicate with labview (temperature controller)

    Hallo
we are now using instron to do some mechanical test, with instron bluehill to control the strain rate.
At the same time, Labview is used to control the temperature since samples are heated during load.
we hope that Labview can communicate with Instron so that when the instron test is end, the RSD (Remote software Deployment) of Labview can be off automatically.
Can someone give me some advice??
    Thanks.

    Hi Snail,
Bluehill looks to be the software which ships with the strain controller hardware.  The question is really does that software provide any interface that an IDE can tap into?  ActiveX, .NET are a couple of examples - I would give Instron a call.  There is reference to an ActiveX API here - but no specifics.

If I buy an HP wireless printer, what do I need to do with my Ipad2 to print?

I'm not sure what your question has to do with networking on the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, or Time Capsule....but if you buy an AirPrint compatible printer, it will work with the iPad2.

Apple does not block phones. Call the police and your carrier. Change all your passwords. If you had find my iPhone enabled before the phone waa stolen, you may be able to track it, and erase the phone.

iPhone contacts: file transfer to Windows 7 via USB-cable
My iPhone can communicate with the computer only via USB-cable (no mobile data, no bluetooth, no internet, no outlook). As I want to get the phone to the "doctor" I want to save specifically my contact data and calendar details on the computer (OS: Windows 7). How can I solve this task? I will appreciate your valuable information, thanks.

Using the iPhone, the USB cable, iTunes and Windows Contacts, sync the iPhone contacts to Windows Contacts. That will save them there. They are also included in the iPhone backup made in iTunes, and if you use iCloud.
I'm sorry, I missed the calendar part the first time I looked. For calendar, you need a supported application on the computer (Outlook) or if you use iCloud, you can use the iCloud contacts and calendar app to sync.

  • What do I need to communicate with a Panasonic(VP8122A) RF Generator thru GPIB using VC++.

Im a beginner and I need some orientation in my first project.
I wont to create a program test application using VC++ using GPIB 488.2.
I have a Panasonic RF GEN (Vp8122A) a RE125 RF GEN a RE204 AUDIO ANALIZER and a HP VXI with some switch boards (HPE1330A,).
To communicate whit thus equipments what do I need?
Drivers To each equipment or its enough use the function of NI488.2.
If yes can you give-me one example to Panasonic RF GEN.
I will appreciate very much your help.

    Hi,
To communicate with GPIB you need a GPIB interface and the driver. If you are using a NI GPIB interface, you need the NI-488.2 driver.
The driver provides you with the functionality to send and receive messages throught the GPIB bus. The GPIB is only the communication channel. What you send or receive depends on the device you are using.
The driver comes with some generic examples (there are examples for VC++). This examples show you the functions necessary to send and receive data to a device on the bus. Most examples will use the *IDN? command, which is a data command defined in the IEEE 488.2 standard. Most instruments will respond to this query with an idetification string. You can use this examples to get a feel on how to send and rece
    ive data.
To control your instrument you need the programmer's (or user's) manual. The manual will give you all the commands accepted by the instrument and the format of the data returned by the instruments. Most of the times, instrument manuals will include examples on how to perform simple operations on the device. The language used in the examples is not important (it might be pseudo-code), what you are interested in is the string commands (messages) sent to the instrument and the way the data returned is parsed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help needed to communicate with networked printer

I have a iMac G5 with Airport card. I am trying to communicate with an HP7660 printer attached to a WinXP machine with a USB cable. I can communicate bidirectionally fine with shared files between the Mac and the PC. I have turned on the file sharing on the printer itself. In the Mac, in System Preferences/Print & Fax, I set up the printer in the Printer Browser window with the following:
Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Address: I used the IP address of the PC
    Queue: left blank
Name: hp7660 (same as I gave it on the PC)
Location: I used the IP address of the PC
Print Using: Generic Postscript Printer (this was the default since this model was not shown in the printer list.
In the Print & Fax, under Sharing, it shows the hp7660 checked.
In Printer Setup, "Printer model" shows Generic Postscript Printer.
In Printer Setup, "Name & Location" shows correct for both. The Queue is shown as hp7660 and the driver version is 10.4 (the Mac version).
Now, when I open a Word file and click on "File/Print", the "Printer" is hp7660. When I click Print, I get an error message that says
"Network host "IP address" is busy, down or unreachable; will retry in 30 seconds..."
This same thing happens regardless of the Protocol option that I choose: Line Printer Daemon, Internet Printing Protocol, or HP Jet Direct.
During this time, I get no error message on the PC and there is no other work going on at the PC. As I said, I can easily communicate between both machines, except for the printing.
If all of the configuration settings are correct, does anyone have any ideas that I might have overlooked?
    Thanks
    Herschel

    Henry,
Thanks for being so patient with my problem.
When I follow the efelix directions for setting up the PC, it says that when you press the "Add" button on the Mac, a drop down menu will appear so that one can choose "Window Printing". This is not what happens for me. When I push the "Add" button, a "Printer Browser" window opens.
This Printer Browser window (in the first box) gives me only 3 options: the LPD, IPP and Socket options. After manually entering the Address (IP address of PC), Name (same as shown on the PC), and Location (IP address of PC), the default in "Print Using" shows up as "Generic Postscript Printer". I then click on the "Print Using" using option to choose the HP Photosmart 7660 printer from the list rather than the Generic Postscript Printer.
Now, when I click on "Add", the "Windows Printing/Workgroup" comes up in a Printer Browser window. It has only one item under the "Name" column which is my name and under the "Comment" column it had the Mac ID listed. I then choose "Network Neighborhood" as suggested in the efelix website. What appears now is a single choice called "WORKGROUP" under both the "Name" and "Comment" columns. I should have had 2 choices (as efelix shows), one being "WORKGROUP" and the other being a workgroup that contains my remote PC.
This procedure, according the efelix procedure broke down at the very beginning when he suggests clicking on Add immediatly after setting up the PC. I did not get the drop down window he shows in order to choose "Windows Printing". Rather, this choice did not appear until I went through the configuration procedure of manually choosing the "HP Photosmart 760 Foomatic/hpijs" from the printer list. I don't know whether this may be due to a difference in Panther or Tiger (which I have), but the way I did it does not allow me to make the connection.
So, in summary, it requires that I take a different path to get to the same conditions that efelix shows. Obviously, it is not getting the results needed. I sometimes wonder whether deleting the "hpijs" and 'ghostscript" and just using the HP upgrade might work? What do you think? Or is there some other way to get the "Add" window to give me the drop down window?
I know this may be confusing, but I am trying to give you the step by step procedure that is happening.
    Thanks
    Herschel

  • What do I need to do with the warning of "The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs is missing."? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled itunes but there has been no change. I have PowertoGo on my HP.

What do I need to do to correct the problem. Unistalling and reinstalling iTunes has not helped. I have PowerToGo on my HP. I can burn through this program but want to do so by iTunes. Any Suggestions that would help? Diagnostics for iTunes states that "No driver found" E:hp DVD A DH16ACSH.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • What do i need to install with a WLC ?

    Hello everybody !
I have a question, I have to implement a wifi solution in my company, and the Cisco solution seems to be adapted.
But there are so many documents so I'm lost in the informations.
Can you please say me what I need to have a complete and reliable solution ?
What is the difference between NCS, WCS, Prime infrastructure ?? Is it necessary or I can to only install a controller and put the adapted license ?
    Thank you guys.
    Raphaël
P.S : Sorry if my english is not perfect !

Yes you can start with that...
The only reason I say that you need to speak with someone is because I have seen many environments that was just slapped together in hopes that it would work. Design it right from the start and it will cost less in the long run. There are many options of WLC's and access points that you need to take into consideration. Redundancy, how will you secure the wireless and also implementing a solution that will still work for you in 5 years. Trust me on this... You don't want us to just tell you what to buy and putting all your requirements into a thread would be difficult. Speak with someone and then if you have questions or maybe want us to validate the design or purchase, we can help you there.

  • What do I need to return with it besides the modem and AC adapter?

Basically what the title of this post says. I bought my own DOCSIS 3.0 modem and would like to return the one I rented from Comcast. (It will pay for itself in 7 months.) I just want to know which cables and other hardware I need to return with it. I don't know if I'll be able to locate the original receipt. I have the modem, AC power supply, a white ethernet cable, a length of coaxial cable (I think this came with the package because I found an Xfinity branded cable wrap that says "Coaxial" on the tab. But, this may have been used to bundle one of the other cables...), and a two-way splitter. Like I suggested above, The splitter and coaxial cable may be mine outright, I just don't remember. So... What all do I need to return?

Just return the modem and its power cord/power pack. When they provide Ethernet cables, coax, and splitters, those items become yours.

  • How does the WCS communicate with the 4402 controller ?

I would like to place the WCS server on a different vlan than the controller. How do they communicate ?
    Regards
    J Folkestad

    Hello,
WCS communicates with the controller mainly through SNMP and HTTPS. You will find a list of protocols used on CCO
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_tech_note09186a00806f070a.shtml#portswcssvr
So no problem to have WCS and controllers management ip addresses on two different subnets.

My XP is getting slow, so I am reformatting it. I have purchased CS3 for two computers. One is installed in this computer.
Do I need to keep any file or number so that I can install it after reformatting?
Or do I need to uninstall first?
Could anyone give me what I need to do please.
    Thanks in advance.

Go to the help menu in any CS3 application and deactivate the software.
Then go right ahead with your reformat and re-installation.
