It depends on how you are using iPhoto and Aperture.
iPhoto and Aperture each create their own library files, and the default location for them is in /users/youruseraccount/Pictures
You can configure iPhoto and Aperture to use the same Library file, in which case your photos are only stored once. But if you are using iPhoto & Aperture with independent library files, you may in fact be duplicating your storage.
The second consideration is whether or not you have configured iPhoto and/or Aperture as reference libraries, in which case their library files only reference photos you have stored in other places on your hard drive. Setting them up as reference libraries does not duplicate the photos inside the library files.

Yes, I have the tethering plan. I was connected with USB and Bluetooth when I had the 3G.
I am can now connect with USB, I recieved a new not seen before window when I plugged in the phone with the Network window open that allowed me to click on apply an connect.

Macbook telling me that my external hard drive with a usb is pulling too much power and has been dialed what do I do

I have been using my Seagate Free Agent 500g external hard drive for years without even a hint of a glitch but this morning I trying plugging in the usb and got an error message that stated that the hard drive was pulling too much power and was being diabled. So now I cannot get the hard drive to connect period. What do I do - could it be a power cord issue?

If you are getting a message that a USB device such as your external hard drive is drawing too much power, there are a number of things you can do. I would suggest the steps in this article -

If you have a peripheral (such as a hard drive, audio device, or camera) that is acting unexpectedly—such as not turning on or not being recognized by the computer—the peripheral may require more power than is available. Use a USB hub that comes with a power adapter.
Check that the peripheral offers the ability to connect to more than one USB port at once.
Find out if the peripheral comes with a power adapter.
If you cannot confirm your device's use with a hub, connect the device directly to the Apple computer.

Dual display with Lenovo USB Port Replicator 43R8770

Hi,
I have installed the Lenovo USB port replicator using the 1.0.0.1 drivers. I am running Windows XP on a Thinkpad X300.
I can successfully get into dual display mode but when I try to make the external monitor my primary display it will not work. It just switches my primary monitor back the notebook LCD without displaying any errors.
If I disable the notebook display I can set the external as the primary but as long as the notebook is enable the external cannot be set as the primary.
Has anyone ever seen this before?

I know it's an old discussion, but I wanted to post instructions on getting the dual-monitor setup working, as it took me a while to get it right.  This is using a Lenovo x301 with Windows XP SP3,
Lenovo Enhanced USB Port Replicator and 2 Dell 19" 1280x1024 analog flat panel monitors (I know..I know...)  My
boss didn't want to use the Laptop display.  Just the two external monitors.  Note: before proceding, please make
sure you've installed the Port Replicator drivers.
Connect left monitor (primary display) to x301 VGA port.
Connect right monitor (extended display) to Port Replicator VGA port.
Click on the Intel(r) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile icon in the system tray and select GRAPHICS OPTIONS --> OUTPUT TO --> MONITOR
Click on the Lenovo Display Adapter icon in the system tray and select EXTEND TO --> RIGHT
Hope someone finds this helpful down the road.

If music etc was purchased from itunes store then go to the itunes app on ipad and check purchased to see what you can redownload for free.
Assume you can't sync the iPad as you are on Tiger with old iTunes version.

Can't synchronize my IPod with the USB-Port of my 27 Inch Cinema Display

I use a 27" Cinema Display with my Windows PC.
It is connected via USB and Display Port.
Synchronizing my IPod at the USB Port of the PC works fine.
Synchronizing my IPod at each of the three USB Ports of the Cinema Display doesn't work.

Sorry if there is any missing information. I'll try to put all requested information:
The car system is the one that is already installed in my car, I mean it is not something bought externally and installed in my car. The car is a ford S-Max. This car has a complete radio system that includes a USB connection for mp3 players. It works ok but not with the iPod. The IOS installed is the last that has been released, but the iPod was not working with this connection before that update.

NB200 running Windows XP - What's wrong with my USB ports?

I bought a new NB200 recently and have had a problem with my USB ports ever since.
Independently, both rhs ports operate fine with my Logitech wireless mouse - unless I attach it via a USB hub. When I use the second port to attach another device - in this case an external DVD-RW - the mouse simply freezes. Meantime, the DVD-RW itself is recognised by Device Manager, etc - ("Working fine - with plenty of available power output per port), but it nonetheless fails to work and Windows Explorer is unable to read any disc inserted in it.
Furthermore, the lhs USB port is pure decoration only; nothing I attach to it (even the mouse) will work, neither will the Sleep & Charge capability (at any of the 4 Modes).
I've uninstalled the USB controllers and ports using Device Manager which, after re-booting, continues to report that all's well, both with the devices I attach and the ports themselves, albeit i's still patently not!
I'm concerned that I'm still unable to create a recovery disc should the worst happen so can anyone help me resolve my conundrum, please?
Am I doing something wrong or, less likely to be the case, I'm sure, is there perhaps a fault with my machine??
Any advice would be helpful, please.

Thanks for the suggestion, Guys, but neither provided the solution. I'd already updated both BIOS and Chipset drivers to the latest available.
Incidentally, the OS is the version of XP that came already loaded - subsequently updated via Windows Update, of course.
Any further thoughts anyone??

Display FLV file on web page - what code is needed

In Premiere Elements 7 I used the share option to make a .FLV file to place on a web page. What code is needed to display this file? What other steps are needed to have the file play on a web page? I get the ides that I need to embed a played on my web page, how do I do that? I find no help in the premiere elements help file.
