What do I need to do to my ipod nano in order to sell it?

What do I need to do to my ipod nano in order to sell it to someone else.  In other words, remove my songs, etc?

What you'll want to do is connect the iPod to iTunes library and restore it to factory settings. This process wipes all content from the device, resets all settings back to their defaults, and loads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device.
Restoring iPod to factory settings
When the restore has finished, don't let it sync with your iTunes library again.

There isn't one.  You'll need to connect the Nano to your iTunes library and restore to factory settings.  There is no other way.

Sorry, but Apps are not compatible with the iPod and there is no additional software available for it.

  • Do you need a converter to charge Ipod nano (5th gen) using a non-Apple wall charger/plug adapter in Switzerland?

do you need a converter to charge Ipod Nano (5th gen) using a non-Apple wall charger/adapter plug in Switzerland? or is the Ipod Nano dual-voltage?

None of the iDevices are multi-voltage themselves...the chargers from Apple are all 110-240 volt.  You will have to look at the non-Apple charger you have and see if it says it handles 110-240 volts.  Most made today are capable of that range, or they would have to make a different item for each country.
All you probably need is a plug-pin converter, can find those in the airport, at least in Zurich, don't know about Geneva.

Make sure that yo have the boxed chanced to only sync the checked music. It appears that it is trying to sync ore than those.
You can try unsycing all music and resyncing.

  • TS1363 no matter what I do Itunes will not recognize my ipod nano..I've tried everything and all directions

No matter what I try i can not get itunes to recognize my ipod nano when I connect.  I have tried multiple trouble shooting fixes on the site.

I have tried all that…I have tried multiple chargers and have not had any success! I think I have a lemon! Not too happy about all this either because I will probably have to pay for support since I have had the phone for more than 90 days
While Apple may request a Pay-Per-Incident, if it is determined that your device has a hardware issue, that PPI will bewailed after troubleshooting is completed. Or, you can request that they waive that if you've already done a lot of troubleshooting.  The PPI is only for issues that a user could resolve on their own but want Apple to provide a walkthrough over the phone.  You can get free support by going to an Apple Store instead, for example, as well.

  • Yikes!  I need HELP RE: connecting my iPod Nano!

I just bought a 4G iPod Nano TODAY. I'm kind of "electronically challenged." So I plugged my Nano into my computer, using the very brief instructions that were provided with my Nano. My songs loaded fine, but when I removed the Nano from my computer, I could not get the USB cord out of my Nano. Of course, like a *******, I pulled and pulled and pulled, until the wires started coming out of the connection. Then I really started freaking out! Got out my pliers, and finally was able to remove the connector. However, in doing so, I have now done something so that a new connector won't go in. I realized AFTER I had done all of this that I needed to press on the two sides of the connection in order to get it out of the Nano. Does anyone know if Apple will fix this? I am going to cry if this can't be fixed. Please let me know ASAP. I don't think I can sleep until I find out. Thanks for your help.

this falls into the category of abuse, so no, i don't believe apple will fix it. i would try buying a new cord first, see if that helps. unless it is the nano's connector that is messed up, then you are SOL.

  • Do I need nike plus sensor with iPod Nano 7h generation?

I want to buy a iPod Nano just for the nike + support and logging my daily runs. is it mandatory to have the sensor in the shoe?

No, it's not. Neither the 6th nor 7th generation nano needs the sensor. I have the 7th generation and use the running app all the time. Have never used the sensor. Do expect to need to calibrate the app from time to time, as it will be off, distance wise.

  • Is there anything I need to do to my iPod Nano (2nd Gen) prior to selling it? reset anything? clear anything?

I want to sell my 2nd Gen iPod Nano, bought it a few years ago and have barely even used it, downloaded a whopping 6 songs to it.   Obviously not something I use or need......so I want to sell it.   So is there anything I need to reset or "clear" from it (settings) prior to selling it?
Also - when I go into "settings" and then "about" it says "Leesaloo's iPod" --- if someone buys this from me is it going to say that for them, too?   If so, how do I delete that? (my name)  I did try to "reset" (in settings) but it didn't seem to do anything or get rid of my name.
And a stupid question I know...but someone buying my iPod, they're not going to be able to access my iTunes account at all right?
    Thanks so much

Restore the iPod to factory settings. This procedure wipes all content from the device and resets all of its settings back to their defaults. The new user will be able to plug in the iPod, rename it, and sync it with her or her own library.

Ok when I go to charge my ipod nano it says it's already charged but when I take it off the charger and try to listen to music it say battery has no energy battery drained. So if someone can please try to help me get it to work.

I disagree. Don't assume that it needs to be replaced without first testing it.

  • Need help moving music from iPod nano to new computer

I had a computer that had all of my music on it, it was a combination of music I purchased from iTunes, purchased from other places, and that had been transferred from my CDs.  That computer died, and the music was lost.  My CDs are in storage and I can't put my hands on them easily.  All of that music was on my iPod Nano, but when I plug it in it only gives me the option to erase and sync, and I don't want to lose what's on my iPod but I would like to add new music that I've added to iTunes on my new computer to the iPod.  Is this even possible?

it 's possible you just have to change your sync option from automatic to manual
the way to do this is the do the following
-open iTunes while ipod is connected
-if you get the message to erase and sync just click cancel
-on the left hand side of the iTunes window click on your device in the devices section
-in the ipod summary page go to the bottom of the page and choose "manually manage music"
-click apply and now any new music you want to sync you just drag the music from the library section and drop it onto the ipod in the devices section in iTunes
    hope this helps:)
ps: this is only a temp fix but if you want something more then just a work around just post back

  • Help!!What can I do with this fully discharged iPod Nano???

I know it has this problem because it's fully discharged, but all the technical articles I can find just can't fix it.
When I first connect it to my windows, it shows a fully discharged icon. After a few minutes, I disconnected it from the PC and tried to turn it on. Then I connect it to my windows again, and it shows "use iTunes to restore", then shows " do not disconnect", then automatically switch to "Ok to disconnect"!!! I don't know what to do now, since it always automatically turn to "ok to disconnect", I cannot start charging my iPod Nano. What can I do right now???? Please help me!! Since the first time it showed the fully discharged icon, I think there must be someway to charge it a little bit and force it work again, instead of changing a new battery.

    Try the Five R's.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
