What do I need to fill out a form created in JetForm?

I receive a form that I need to fill out, save and send back.  The problem is the form sent to me is a JetForm.  What software/designer do I need to just fill out these forms?  Are there any free downloads?
Thank you

Since Adobe acquired Accelio, formerly JetForms, in April of 2002, I am surprised the form has not been revised using Adobe's LiveCycle Designer.
If the form has a file type of PDF then form could be filled out and printed by Adobe Reader. If you need to save the form, the author would have had to apply Extended Form Rights with a more current version of Acrobat.

  • Need help filling out pdf forms on iPad

Adobe Reader (11.0.1) on my iPad2 (iOS 6.1.3) is not letting me fill out a form (just a bunch of text fields) that was created with Acrobat 8 Pro/LiveCycle. The form can be filled out fine with Reader 11.x on my WinXP desktop though. Any ideas?

No, you'll be just the same.
You need to not use LiveCycle Designer, but make the form in Adobe Acrobat. Everything you know about making forms in LiveCycle Designer will not help you at all.
These are a different kind of form, made differently, and with different features (e.g. they are always static in layout).
Also, you start with an existing PDF (not a form) for all the background and fixed text, then just add fields.
There are other things to do like avoid JavaScript. Start with very simple forms and test features, there doesn't seem to be a comprehensive list.

  • Need to fill out PDF forms

Does anyone have a good app for filling out PDF forms?  I used Acrobat Pro in Windows, but then my employer supplied it for me.  I'm not going to pay $300 to fill out PDF forms.  I tried it in Preview, as people say that works, but I can't get it to work.  The forms I have to fill out that are supplied by my employer won't accept editing in Preview.  They work fine in Acrobat Pro in Windows.  I also tried formulate.pro, but I couldn't save the form back to PDF, only to a propietary format.  Not useful for sharing these forms with colleagues.  Is there a solution to this problem?  Thanks.

I know about that.  Unfortunately, the form can no longer be modified once you do that.  (According to others who have tried it.)  I know it's a pretty nit-picky list of requirements I have, but I work in a very Windows-centric, Mac-hostile workplace (even though a sizeable minority of people here use Macs).  I've been using a Mac since 2004, and it's been a battle to solve one problem after another: web pages that only render "properly" in IE, web applications that only work "properly" in IE, a voice messaging system that is Mac-hostile, and most recently this business with the forms.  My solution has usually been "if it doesn't work in Firefox or Safari, then it doesn't work."  Unfortunately, I don't have that option with these forms.  More and more of what I have to do must be done either online or at least digitally, and yet we are generating more paper than ever!  And no one who is responsible for creating/purchasing the apps to do all these things seems even to know about the existence of any OS other than Windows.  Sorry about the rant, but that is the world at Coastal Carolina University!

  • I need help filling out my form

i jus recently recieved an application to fill out and i cant fill out the form with the adobe. please help me fill out my form

If the people that created the form didn't add fillable form fields, all you can do is print it and fill it out by hand.

  • What do I need to fill out and print a PDF form?

I need to type on this form save and print it, how do I do that?

    Hi nette7,
To fill in, save, and print your form, you can use the free Adobe Reader. You can download the free Reader from here: PDF reader, PDF viewer | Adobe Reader XI.
Of course, if you have a full version of Acrobat, you can use that as well. But Reader will definitely give you the tools you need to get the job done.
    Best,

  • I need to install Mozella Firefox 2.0 to fill out a form that is not supported with the newer version that is installed on my PC. Do I need to delete the new version before using the older version?

I need to install Mozella Firefox 2.0 to fill out a form that is not supported to input info from the newer version that is installed on my PC. Do I need to delete the newer version before using the older version? If so, how do I delete the new version and install the older version?

If you just need it for one site you can use the portable version of Firefox 2 instead. You can install the portable version on a USB key, or if one is not available choose the custom install and install it somewhere on your hard drive. The portable version will not interfere with your current version of Firefox. You can get the portable version from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable - the link for Firefox 2.0.0.20 is near the bottom of that page.

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection Design Across Media Upgrade for Windows at a business closing.  What do I need to find out before I can use it?

I couldn't tell you what you purchased, and it might even be difficult for an Adobe employee to do so.  The business could have a few options as far as what they might have purchased.
Your best bet, considering what little you paid, will be to hand it over to someone you might sell it to and let them try it out.  If it works, then it works.

If you want to edit a word document then you will need an app on your iPad that supports word so that you can copy them to it via 'open in' e.g. Apple's Pages app or a third-party app such as Documents To Go or QuickOffice HD

  • Problem filling out a form exported from pdf to docx.

I "successfully" exported a pdf form to word docx.  The form looks exactly like the original.  However, when I attempt to fill in the blanks (which are large)  the text gets dropped in vertically e.g.  first name la
st name (on a lower line).  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.  Filling out this form is urgent, and the only reason I purchased this program.  Any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Catherine,
    I'd like to assist!
The file may have converted as an image, possibly due to poor quality.
Are you able to bring the words together by utilizing your 'back' key?
Let me know how it goes if you try converting it again.
    Kind regards, Stacy

  • When filling out a form, when I type in information in one field, move to the next and begin typing,

when filling out a form, when I type information into the first field, move to the next and begin typing, the information in the prior field disappears

    Hey gregery,
Please let me know what Acrobat version are you using.
Also, go to File> Properties> Security and check whether form filling is allowed or not as shown below:

  • Filling out a form demo

What is the best way in Adobe Captivate to demonstrate filling out a form with Narration? I have several pdf forms that are interactive and I want to be able to narrate as I record live action movements. I used the software simulation setting and it ended up looking choppy and confusing. I'm in the process of a trial download of Captivate and I'd like to have this some what figured out before I decide to purchase it. I bought a subscription to Lynda.com to try and understand a little more but it wasn't too much help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi there
Typically those are done by narrating at the same time as you use the software. (I recently created some of these for a different company. A Lynda competitor)
As you might imagine, it's often like filming a motion picture and you end up with many "takes" to get just the right one.
    Cheers... Rick

  • In filling out a form with a list of names, is there a way to sort it, such as an alpha sort?

Is there a way to sort names in adobe?  Such as when filling out a form?
Or should I just give up and do the industry standard and use excel?

Reader cannot do what you want. Yes you can use Excel, Numbers, and a dozen other spreadsheets. Or you can use database software (I tend to use FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go, but there are many other choices), you can also use Form software (which again is just a simple database).

  • How do I fill out a form already converted from pdf to word

how do I fill out a form i converted from pdf to a word doc?

What kind of "form" is it?  A .pdf or .doc file?
Generally I would save the file somewhere (desktop or document folder).  There is a save button for attachments in mail's header section.  Then open the file with an appropriate app like Adobe Reader for .pdf files or Word or Pages for .doc files.  Fill out the form and save.  Then email the form back as an attachment.

  • Filling out PDF forms in Landscape Mode

I have used Preview to fill out PDF forms in Portrait mode and it's very nice because I can save the modified file and email it to others, or just keep it for reference. Anyway, I downloaded a PDF form and tried to fill out the text. It highlights the form fields just right, with the blue glowy rectangle and everything, and when I type in the text it appears just fine, until that field loses focus, then the text goes goofy--it shows up starting at the right hand side of the field and goes in the wrong direction. It's as if Preview still thinks that the PDF is in portrait mode even though it's in landscape mode. Do you know what I'm doing wrong or if there's a fix out there?

  • Filling out online forms with java

I wanted to create a program that will fill out a form on a website by running a java program. COuld anyone tell me what i would use to make the program fill in i guess a text feild and then select a radio button and submitting the results? I tried looking through books and online but i dont even know what im looking for really.

Maybe look for browser plugin programming. Otherwise, I don't know how a Java application (as opposed to an Applet) could ever access an HTML page in a browser window.
At least not without going native. On Win machines, you might use something like the Java-Com bridge to access the IE's API... if it provides one and its methods help you to do what you intend.
