What do I need to run/use JSF ??

Sorry for a rather dumb question. We have a client/server system we would like to convert into a Web Based app using JSF.. we developed our system on J2SE 1.4
1. What software/runtime environment do I need ?
2. What downloads must I grab to start using it ??
Thanks very much
Mike

Hi,
first you'll need the JSF (latest current release EA3) found under:
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/javaserverfaces/
then an application server, e.g. tomcat/catalina supplied with the JWDSP and the J2EE platform found at:
http://java.sun.com/webservices/downloads/webservicespack.html
and
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/download.html
respectively.
Having installed the JSF you'll find a JSF Spec and tutorial where everything else (configuration, etc.) is explained.
If you're experiencing problems with the JWSDP 1.1 try getting hold of JWSDP 1.01.
Good luck & have fun....

  • What time will a job run using only REPEAT_INTERVAL of FREQ=DAILY

What time will a job run using only a Schedule REPEAT_INTERVAL of FREQ=DAILY?

    Hi,
    There are two cases
    - if you set a start time it will run at the hour and minute of the specified start date
    - if start_date is left as NULL then it will run as soon as it is enabled (or at create time if enabled is true) and thereafter at the hour and minute when it was enabled.
Basically it makes the best attempt to run at the same time every day which is either the start_date or the enable time.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • What do I need to run Windows on a Mac and Word for Windows?

I have a Mac OS X Lion and would like to run Windows programs which are only programmed to run on Windows.  What do I need so that I can run Windows and Microsoft Word.

"I have a Mac OS X Lion and would like to run Windows programs which are only programmed to run on Windows."
Your best bet is to use VirtualBox to provide a virtual machine capability allowing the installation of a guest OS like windows. I've used VB extensively for years and I highly recommend it's use for your issue.
If you have a full version of windows, you could use bootcamp as an alternative to VB but you lose the ability to access the OSx environment while booted in windows.
    Best of luck

  • FI-AA Depreciation  Run :what does I need to run depreciation (AFAB trans.)

I don´t know what I need to run depreciation, I have create a fixed asset, and I have done a posting f-90 , and afterwards I want to execute depreciation but I cannot ¿what does I need to do this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Olga.

    Hi,
First of all before running depreciation you need to give the required GL accounts needed for posting the depreciation to the GL accounts in T.Code AO90.
Then after doing the required configurations u can run a depreciation run only in the month end or in the next month for the previous month.
If u had posted transactions to an asset using F-90 say suppose in october, u can do the depreciation in the month of october or in the coming month.
    hope it is clear.

  • New Mac Pro - need to run using 10.4 operating system

I need to run a UNIX based program (Gaussian) on a new Mac Pro. According to the Gaussian website (http://www.gaussian.com/gbrochures/g03_onmacs.htm) their program is only supported for Intel systems running on 10.4 OS (and not 10.5). Is it possible to purchase a new mac running 10.4, or alternatively how easy is it to downgrade the 10.5 OS to 10.4?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
    Rob

Gaussian sure is a blast from the past! In my previous life I did some work with Gaussian 88 and our typical runs lasted about 12 hours each. When the MFLOPS gods were with us, we could do one in about 6 hours on the Cray X-MP down in Austin. It's quite amazing that this can now be done on the computer sitting under my desk!
As far as your question goes, it looks like you will have to wait for Gaussian to build a Leopard compatible version for Intel-based Macs. In the mean time, I have read that it's possible to install SuSe Linux on a Mac Pro on a separate partition. Assuming that your license allows you to use the Linux binary, it might be possible to use it. You would have to reboot to do a Gaussian run, so it's not the most elegant solution, but it's the only way I can see it working.
Good luck with your number crunching!

  • I purchased an iPad2 in the US. What do I need to charge & use it in Australia & New Zealand?

I purchased an iPad2 in the US. What do I need to use it & charge it while traveling in Australia & New Zealand?

If it's 3G, and the AT&T version, then you will need local micro-sims in those 2 countries if you want to be able to use 3G whilst there (and avoid potenial roaming costs with AT&T).
For charging you should just need plug adapters - my UK charger has 100 to 240 v (50 and 60hz) in faint grey writing on it, and I believe both NZ and Australia are 230 V  50 hz so you shouldn't need a converter.

  • What do I need to run airplay?

I've been researching this for weeks and I'm just confused. Please help.
    What I want to do:
I want to play the songs off my iMac on my stereo in the next room and also be able to access those songs on a separate iMac (in another room, obvs).
I want to control it through my iPhone using Remote.
I may also, at a later date, want to run films and photos from the iMac to the telly (once I buy one)
    What I have:
2 x iMacs (different rooms, obvs)
    iPhone 4S with Remote app
    An iMac remote control
    Airport Extreme (not in use)
Wi-Fi (courtesy of BT Home Hub 3)
    Why I'm confused:
I thought it could all be sorted with an Apple TV, then I read somewhere I'd probably also need Aiport Express.
    THEN
Someone told me all I needed was the Airport Extreme instead
    THEN
Another person told me the Wi Fi I have would be sufficient
I have come to the all-knowing Apple Discussions for the precise explanation.

  • What do I need to run FCS 2?

I posted this question in a different forum (Content creation with Final Cut Studio) but received no replies.
I'm hoping that posting it elsewhere will net me better results.
I recently bought FCS2, knowing that I was more than likely going to have to do some major upgrading to my mac to be able to use it. Especially the graphics card.
Now that I have FCS 2, I'm now worried that my mac just won't be the right kind no matter how much upgrading I do, but I could be wrong.
So here I am asking for some advice. My current system is a Power Mac G5 The processor is a Power PC Dual 1.8 GHz. 4 GB DDR SDRAM memory, which I believe is the max memory for this system. My optical drive is an internal Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-117D. Graphics card which I know needs to be upgraded is an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 with 64 MB VRAM (very sluggish with motion), and my display is the 23 inch apple cinema display.
So, am I just going to have to consider purchasing a new Intel G5, or is there some hope for this machine?
What I use it for now is just basic DV and using iDVD to burn DVD's since I haven't learned DVD studio pro yet. I plan, (after some learning) to get into HD video and DVD's which makes me think that I may need a new optical drive also.
Can anyone give some advice on the best upgrades needed for this, or am I out of luck?
Message was edited by: Bobby Merkle

Sounds to me like you're fine. You meet all the system requirements, and I know many around here that still use G5 systems. Just upgrade your card to an x1900, and you'll have a fully capable system for what you're doing. Also, make sure your monitor is at least 17" if you ever plan to utilize Color.
BTW: No such thing as an Intel G5. They are called Intel C2Ds.

  • With Labview what do I need to run vi's on computers without Labview installed

With Labview, how can I install my VI's on another computer to run them with runtime eng. Do I need additional software or ?

On your development computer, click on Tools -> Build Application or Shared DLLs. Select Application and fill in the rest of the boxes with proper information (click Help button for more info). When all info is correctly filled, click on Build button. This will create an EXE file. On the other computer, install the Labview runtime engine. You can do this by using your regular Labview developer CD. Run the setup program but, when prompted for items to install, uncheck everything except the runtime engine box. Proceed with setup. This will install only the runtime engine on your target computer. Transfer your EXE file to the target computer. Run the EXE file, it should work.

I compiled and successfully ran the compiled verson of an app. with a serial interface on a WIN2000 computer with the full LabVIEW development suite.
I installed the LabVIEW runtime engine only on a target computer (running WIN2000) and when I tried to run the app. got the following error -

    Possible reasons:
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF009E) A code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded.

    You have to install NI-VISA.
It is possible to avoid this seperate install by including all of the required support files.
I believe there is a knowledge base article that lists all of the files that need to be included in your build.

  • What will I need electrically to use my IPAD in Ireland?

I am traveling to Ireland and want to make sure I can safely use my IPAD.  Do I only need to get an adapter? My understanding is that the charger also serves as a converter?

Which part of Ireland would you be visiting?
And you just need the adaptor as JumHdk has suggested which will be the UK three pin plug or just one of those World travel adaptors.
