What do I need to setup a 2nd display?

I went from a Mac Mini to an iMac 5K. The Mac Mini display was also my TV. Still using it as my TV, but would like to know what I'd need to connect it to the iMac 5K as a 2nd display. Also, by doing so, would I still be able to easily switch it from 2nd display to TV?

Do you recommend a certain brand Mini-display port to HDMI adapter? I looked on the Apple store page as well as Amazon. The reviews of the ones I looked at weren't great. They all seem to either be defective or die within a year.

I go through my computer and use a program called Reflector to wirelessly display my iPad onto my computer. I then connect my computer to a projector via RGB so that my iPad screen can be displayed to the projector (via computer) to a screen on the wall. You can also get an Apple TV to do this (but you'll need an adapter like a Kanex to go from HDMI to VGA for your projector).

Need 1366x768 Resolution for 2nd display (50" Plasma)

I have a Mac Pro with the X1900XT video card. Looking at the back of the Mac I have a Dell 2405FPW hooked to the right-side DVI port and my VIZIO 50" Plasma hooked to the left-side DVI port with a DVI to HDMI cable.
I do get a great picture and everything seems to be fine except there is no resolution option for 1366x768. Now this is not anyting new, most video cards are not capable of this resolution because the 1366 is not divisible by 8bits but most cards (including the Xbox 360 via RGB) allows 1360x768 which looks great and is the best option. Right now I have it set to 1280x720 which is displayed with about a 2" border around the screen.
So if anyone has any ideas on how to get the Mac Pro to output 1366x768 or 1360x768 as a second display on the X1900 that would be great.

I will check out both of those, actually this is just what I was looking for, something like powerstrip but for macs. I will update the post after testing both of them.

I have a scenario where a multiple KU-partners in R/3 (our branches around the world) do business with the same external party for purchasing of indirect materials.
So all idocs from R/3 have the same recipient partner, but the sender partner will differ. I have two messages ORDERS and ORDCHG. I also have ORDRSP inbound from the vendor, with different recipients but the same sender.
I am sending and receiving using the HTTP adapter towards the vendor and, as mentioned, idocs towards R/3 (the KU-partners)
What do I need to setup in Integration Directory? Do I have to set up all my KU's as Parties? And create two sender agreements and one receiver agreement for each party? Or I can set up generic ageements with * in the Party-field? How do I then meet the right KU when posting the idoc in the order response case?
I guess there is no need for multiple communication channels? Correct?
I think I have like 60 internal branches doing business with this vendor so it would be nice if there are some way to minimize the effort.

If you are technically communicating to only one Vendor (which is routing the message to your partners), then you need only one Party and channel towards that vendor. If so, I guess your vendor might be checking the content of message to identify the actual partner. Then you may use Value Mapping and maintain different partner information there which can be picked during the mapping step.

LR 2.2 on OS X 10.5.6 - Cannot reject multiple images on 2nd display Grid

Hi there,
For some reason, if I select multiple images on Grid View on my 2nd display and click 'X' to apply the Reject Flag, only the first image selected will get the X Flag. However, if I do the same exact with the Grid on my primary display, all images selected will get the X Flag.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Is this a feature that I am missing an understanding of?

Hmmmm... thanks for the confirmation. It just seems so odd that Adobe would feel the need to 'classify' the 2nd display as a second-class citizen. Would it really be that much more resource-intensive to allow me to take action on multiple photos on the 2nd display?
Oh well, perhaps in a future build.

Have iMac mid 2007 using Mavericks . . . will not function with new 2nd display?

Sys Prefs setup with 2nd display using Mavericks . . . the new functions of Mav won't come in with LG display even though same display works with my other Macs. Any like experiences or advise would be more than appreciated? bumdiago

One thing that caused the refresh to stop working is when you have error or bad settings in your report. Expand your upper right control panel or EVDRE area and see if everything is good. For instance, an EVDRE usually gives an error message rather than displaying (EVDRE OK) at upper right.
Also, did your input template refresh the data properly every time after you sent your data? If so, you may convert your input template to a report, and see if that will solve your problem.

2nd hard drive for HP Pavilion dv7t-4000 CTO Notebook - What do I need?

Hi, I have the HP Pavilion dv7t-4000 CTO Select Edition Entertainment Notebook (Product # WV703AV). It has room for two harddrives but only came with one. What would I need in order to install the second hard drive? Would I need just a connecting cable or do I also need caddy or kit?
Also, could I get a solid state? Would my notebook support that or does it only use regular ones?
Currently, I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I've got a 500GB hd (which came partitioned with hp tools/recovery).
Any help with what I would need for a traditional hdd or ssd would be greatly appreciated. I tried to look through other people's posts first, but couldn't find anything specific to my model. Thanks for your time!

Your notebook should be able to work with a SSD but I cannot guarantee it.
I really don't see any point in adding a SSD unless you make it the primary hard drive, and in order to do that, you would need to get a SSD the same size as the original 500 GB hard drive to use the recovery disks to reinstall the operating system.
Most folks get smaller SSD's and they use the W7 product key to activate a plain installation of W7.
If you can read all 25 characters of your windows 7 product key you can make your own installation media and use that to install Windows on a smaller than 500 GB SSD.
If you can read the 25 character Microsoft windows 7 product key, you can download plain Windows 7 ISO files to burn to a DVD for the version of windows that came installed on your PC, and that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC's case.
Burn the ISO using the Burn ISO option on your DVD burning program and burn at the slowest possible speed your program will allow. This will create a bootable DVD.
Or use the Windows 7 USB/DVD installation tool to compile the ISO file you download from Digital River. Link below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB method of compilation.

Depends on the capabilities of your car's audio system.
IF it has a cassette player you can use a cassette adapter.
IF it has an audio in, you can connect a cable between Shuffle and audio system.
IF neither of above you can get an FM transmitter (Belkin's TuneCast, for example) and connect Shufffle to transmitter.
You can get a cigarette lighter USB power dapter and attach Shuffle through dock to charge Shuffle.
You can NOT charge and play Shuffle simultaneously...yet.

What you need to :
Create the App server as the same prod -- WLS as example,
Create the p6 domain in WL;
Install the P6 r81 software;
Clone the Prod's P6 db to the Dev;
Dbconfigure the cloned P6db
Deploy the P6 8.1 ear file which should be the same as the prod's;
Reconcile the P6 81 patches with Prod's.

Lots of things are defined in the topology manager - below is a simplified list
1) Physiccal Schemas the actual connection information / details related to any technology you plan to use in your ODI integration interfaces
2) Logical schema, abstracted version of the Physical schema which allows greater flexibility ad reuse across environments
3) Contexts - how you asssociate logical and physical schemas
4) Agents - manage the execution of ODI jobs
When you talk about migration, do you mean moving ODI objects between seperate environments such as Dev and Prod? If so you will need to ensure that all the technologies you use in Dev are present in Prod. The physical layer has been set up with all the correct connection details. Your logical scemas has been set up matching your configuration in the dev environment and you have used the contexts to associate the logical and physical layers as per your dev configuration.
