Hello,
I am hoping this is a basic question for someone. We use Crystal Reports Professional II to report off a MS SQL server. We would like to share report output amoung our small office of about 12 people. I am told that the professional version comes with some type of web deployment system you can put on a server, but I don't see this anywhere. I see the "Crystal Report Server" on Business Object's website, but this seems like overkill for us (not to mention too pricey). Anyone have some simple direction on how to deploy reports? Optimally I could schedule reports and have them viewed in a browser.

Ok, so I didn't find a definite answer, BO seems to really float around the answer, but this is what I have found so far. In each link they only mention an Introductory Offer, but do not explain it any more.

Page five of this pdf mentions that "Professional and Developer editions include a special five-named user introductory offer of Crystal Reports Server" at the bottom of the page.

Under the Developer and Professional version sections (Page 5,6) talk the most about the Intro offer but still don't offer any more details.

Upgrading RAM and your HD will give you some performance gains, but depending on what you are doing, it may not be enough. Your best friend will always be processor speed. This has a direct relation to how many cores and the speed of the RAM.
However, if you are unable to spring for a new computer, then the options of running more RAM and a biggger, faster HD should ruduce some bottle necks.

Hi, Can you help me I am running an iMac 10.7.5 and iPad 6.0.1 and a macair10.8.2. iCloud is syncing emails and notes but not photos. Photo streaming is switched on on the iMac. what do I need to do to stream photos?
Hi you have basicly 2 Options.
1 -if you Switch One fotostream on all 3 devices of yours which are working on the same apple id -all Fotos you Take with your iPad will be synchronized via icloud to the other 2 decvices ( w-lan and battery depending).
2- If you select foots or a whole album in iPhoto on your air or iMac and choose than puplish --> fotostream --> new or existing event you can key in a friends mail. If this friend has iCloud and iPhoto ( for iMac or MacBook ) and click on the link in the email it will download this fotos in the fotostream section in iPhoto. If he has a iPad, iPhone,... It will do it in the foto app and if he doesn't have a iCloud account at all and you choose "public web site" while publishing he can see your fotostream on a website. -

Are you talking about the English dictionary? Mine seems to work ok on the AZ republic web page. Does yours not work on all webpages? Does it not work when you type an English word in Notes and then do select and define? -
I had the geek squad from bestbuy supposedly install iphoto 11 on my mac but it is not there and when i try to download it it say the app has been download by another user on this machine. What do i need to do get get this app on my system? If they could not do it right the first time I do not have much faith in their advice.
Assuming you've done a system wide search for it including the Applications folder and it's not there......
I think you will need to address this with them - did you pay them for the application? Or was your purchase price to include it? And the question(s) to ask them:
If the app store states that it has been downloaded, ask them where it is and which Apple ID they used. (the store keeps track of Apple IDs and machine IDs on everything you download).
I have absolutely no faith in their advice; however, in this case, it's not so much technical advice, but an answer to your questions: you paid for something and it appears not to be there. -

I have changed my ID, but when I go to update my apps my old ID is still there, I have verified my new ID and signed in using it but still showing on app update sign in which is stopping me from getting update, what do I need to do to get it to change?
Did you create a new account or did you update your existing account ? If you updated your existing account then logging out and back in on the iPad usually 'refreshes' the account on it. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

I downloaded apps with one appleid on my iphone. When my account was disabled I set up a new appleid & account. Now I cannot update apps on my iphone that were downloaded with original appleid when I login with my new apple id. What do I need to do?

Since the applications were purchased on the older account, you will need to log into that account to update them. The newer account will not recognize the purchases because they are not a part of the purchase history for the specific account. -

when i log in my apple id in itunes a message prompt me "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the itunes store" what do i need to do?
If you can log into the computer, go to the Mac App Store and purchase Mavericks under your AppleID. Even though its free, they still consider it a purchase.
If you are not able to log into your Mac you can try on a different Mac. Once you purchase it, you can stop the download if you want.
Once you do that then you should be able to reinstall via the Recovery HD -

Thank youYou can only buy content from your own country's store i.e. the Egyptian store if you are in Egypt - you need to be in a country to use its store, so to use the US store you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account. If there is an app or any other item that you would like to be buy that isn't currently available in the Egyptian store then you can try requesting that it be added, but unless the app's developer or rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

It sends the audio out through the mini DisplayPort into the HDMI cable, but only if your computer has that capability. On that page, scroll down and look for a comment titled "How you know if it is supported w/o guessing." -

Thanks Community! I solved the problem. In fact it was not a problem but lack of understanding. These guys at Apple are way ahead in thir thinking. I will try to explain as short as I can.
In Lion, ihe Prefferences/Display show only two choices: 6-7 steps of resolution and some color tab. No two screens, no two display to overlap, nothing for us to do. "That was the problem"! Everything is automatic.
When I connected the HDMI cable to the Miniport into a T-bolt slot, the TV screen showed the "spiral galaxy" how Zyriab is calling it. In fact he gave me the best clue. That shows the connection is good. But where is the Mac Book image?
You have to drag it to the right out of the Mac Book display area, and "voila!" it will continue on the TV screen. The same with the mouse pointer, push it out ofthe Mac Book display area and you see it on the TV sreen. Good image, you can keep the max resolution, etc. The sound is still on the Book's speakers. I have to figure that out.

I'm about to buy a 27" i-Mac. I would like to connect my 30" Cinema Display to it as a second monitor. What will I need to do that? Will this slow down the overall performance?
The new iMacs do not come with a MiniDisplayPort, they have Thunderbolt, so unless you are talking about purchasing one of the previous generation iMacs such as this refurbished model in the online Apple store, it won't work. And yes, if you are going to get the full range of video resolutions you will need the Dual-Link version.
