What do most newsrooms want? H.264?

This problem rears its' ugly head quite often. I shoot video for a local amusement park throughout most of the summer. My contact at the park always requests clips that he can take with him when he appears on talk shows to promote the park. He just requests HD clips from me not knowing all the problems that can cause. . Most of the time I provide him with a data DVD with a QT file (mp.4/ h.264) The last few times the station told him they cannot use it. I told him that he should always ask what the news department needs beforehand . He very seldom does and just hands them the discs that I provided. Is there an easy workflow that I can use to provide him with the HD clips? Sometimes he just gives the newsroom an SD DVD that he also carries with him. Ofcourse it is not HD and more often than not, they cannot or will not capture from the SD DVD.

You don't need QT to use H.264. You just need to have one piece of 21st century hardware.
