What do strange file names in Organizer Elements mean?

When I look in the Information panel of Elements 11 Under General, and then under Location, I see something like this:
Location:Macintosh HD/Users/my name/Pictures/iPhoto Library (2)/Previews/2015/03/16/20150316-162031/C8RlKWvRCmApiNZSx4qaA/  Where does this come from?  Where can I find the file? Is something wrong?

These will be the automatic file paths created if your images are managed (not referenced) in iPhoto. If you click on Location the duplicate image should open in Finder. You should notice that every thumbnail contains the word copy. This is to prevent the iPhoto Library from being corrupted. If you want to avoid the duplication it’s best to stick with one application; either Organizer or iPhoto, but not both.

  • Add file name to the element in target message

    Hi all!
    I try to configure scenario:
Get all files from directory (it will not be the same number of file every time) and mapping this file to the ERP system. I use File adapter to do this. But what Is necessary I need to mapp the file name to the element in target message.
I mean: When I have got the RFC structure imprted from ERP and there I have got the element "filename". I would like to put the file name of file which I mapping to this element. Next put the all file contents with file name to the ERP table.
It is possible to do that??
I found in sap help that I can keep file name in the message header to get the same target file name, but I wont to put file contents (with file name) to the ERP table not to another file.
    THX for all your opinions.

  • How can I get Elements 11 Organiser to sort by File Name as in Elements 7

I have just acquired Elements 11 to replace Elements 7
All my main photos (thousands) are in 1 file on my computer.
My individual file names are dates - eg "1960-09Sept Venice St Marks Square.." etc, so File Names bring my thousands of images up in date order.
I have tagged them in  Elements 11  as  appropriate with 1 or more Tags per photo.
In Elements 7 there is an Option "Display" and one of the options is "Folder Location" i.e file name order, which is what I want.
I cannot find this option in Elements 11 - all I have found is an option to sort by just "new" or "old" i.e file date order. Fine for photgraphs where the file date is the same as the photo but a scan done today may be of an image in 1960 which is where I wanted it sorted!
I know you can amend the file date in Elements 11 for each image but I have hundreds of scans to redate!
I also know you can bring the images up in Elements 11 of my whole file by using "Reveal in Explorer" which brings them up in file name/date order for me but not when I click on the Elements 11 Tags which reverts to File Date.
Is there anyway I can get the Tags to sort by File Name/Location in Elements 11 as in Elements 7?
    Tony

Many thanks for your previous message. Very useful.
In fact in preparing to answer your question, I find that maybe my problem is not as bad as I thought!
Yes, I have a lot of photos but the majority in digital form are photos (2,500) since the year 2000 which will be sorted by Elements according to the photo/file date.
I have 6,000 or so prints/slides going back mostly to the 1930s but quite a few back as far as the late 1800s. I am scanning a lot of these into digital form but I have only scanned about 500 or so so far and it is only these that are causing a problem. (I am unlikely to scan all 6,000!). These range from the 1880s to 2000. However, as I only started taking digital photos in 2000, if I follow your suggestion, I could give all my scans the same file date (a date prior to 2000) and if I understand correctly what you say, they will then all be sorted in the alpha/numeric order I want.
    Have I got this right?.
I suppose, as an alternative, It would not be a real problem to insert a file date for the 500 or so I have scanned and I would then just need to enter a file date for any future scans.
As you indicate, there are other options but one of the 2 options above seem at present to be my best bet.
Thank you very much for your suggestions - maybe I can now more or less get what I want without too much effort but I would still prefer Adobe to add a File Location Option as before!

  • Strange file names

    Hi,
I noticed some days ago some strange file names on my Finder Windows under Macintosh HD. Files like %A0 or more complex names with lots of unusual chars. When I get info they are 0Kb. I tried to trash them but the system asks me for the admin password. What are these strange files? Can I trash them without making harm to the system?
    Thanks for any possible help.

His issue is different, since he wasn't wondering if it was safe to trash them, but how to trash them, since it wasn't working for him.
Also, it never hurts to start a new thread, if the solution in the old one didn't work. If the solutions are different, the problems are probably different too.

  • Download csv file with strange file name.

    hi, guys:
We installed Oracle APEX 4.2, and APEX listener 2.0 and Oracle 11g standard edition for our application. But sometimes when user tried to download csv file from an interactive report, the file name was a very strange one, sometimes even no .csv extension. could anyone give me a hint to find documentation about it?
    Thanks.

a little more information about it:
I found the file name is "&P16_DIP_START_DATE NOA", which we expect to generate a file named as " some date NOA.csv", but APEX does not recognize the value of variable. For example, if teh value of P16_DIP_START_DATE is 11/15/2012, we expect the file name as "11/15/2012 NOA.csv", but APEX will give us very strange file name replaceing every "/" with / I appreciate anyone who could help me on this issue. But We did not encounter this [roblem on APEX 4.1, OC4J and Oracle 11g R2 enterprise.
    Thanks.
I just used to_char to output date without "/" and soleved it. The other way is to set application property-->security-->browser security with basic level. This only applies to APEX 4.2. I am lucky for that I am using Apex 4.2.

I can has editing?Suspect you are trying to explain that "/"s are being rendered as <tt>&amp;#x2F</tt>? If you want to include character entities in forum posts then you have to type the ampersand ("&amp;") as an entity itself, thus: <tt>&amp;amp;#x2F</tt>.Windows or *NIX filenames can't contain "/"s anyway, so you can't use them regardless of how APEX is rendering them. Using a <tt>YYYYMMDD</tt> format is also recommended as it follows date order when using character comparison semantics.

Hi, Troubled. The size of the file name is pretty much irrelevant here to PSE, but to answer your question directly, you will be able to import a file that has only a single character as its file name (plus the file name needs to have the required extension, such as .jpg)

    Hey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders.  You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

  • Whats a duplicate file name?

OKay so since I tried last night to sync my ipod I am having the worst two days! Everything that can possibly go wrong is. After gettting an error on almost every song in my library, and my ipod being wiped of every file on it, its now telling me it cant be synced due to a duplicate file name. WHat the heck does that mean?

I had a similar problem. About two days before I got this error started getting the strange message from Windows that my USB connection was slow and I should use a USB connection to speed up the transfer. Same connection I've always plugged into.
Then after I got the duplicate file, can't sync error, suddenly Windows wants to either run scandisk or format the iPod.
I finally tried doing the Restore to factory settings button for the iPod from the iTunes window and then iTunes would not recognize the iPod and the iPod showed no files stored on it. Under the Settings/About window it still showed 86 gb used as "other", but no music, video or photos.
Now it is sent off for repair under my Best Buy service contract that ends next January (thank God) and I'll get another refurbished one in 3-5 days.

  • What does a file name like NYC14_(1008_of_88).cr2 mean?

NYC14 is my renaming convention.  Naturally, it's followed by (1009 of 88) etc.

No. you can select the photos you want to rename and then use the Library/Rename menu option to rename your photos. This will open a rename dialog box that will allow you to select the naming scheme you want but take care in your choice. Suggest you start with one or two to make sure you are getting what you want before doing the bulk renaming. It is easy to create a mess and/or duplicate file names if you are not careful.

  • An illegal file name cause FileUpload element timeout.

I can use Fileupload UI Element of Web Dynpro Abap to upload files with no problem.
But if I type some illegal file name(like 'asdf' ) in the inputfield before the 'browser' button, and click some other button which will fire an action to refresh this screen, a loading popup view appears and won't give any response.
Is it a bug or something i did wrong?

  • What is the file name crdb_jdbc.dll(Windows) equivalent to Linux?

    Hi,
What is the equivalent file name of crdb_jdbc.dll for linux connection info for database?

    It's crdb_jdbc.dll.
Within the connection info, the name of the DLL specifies the connectivity driver type, that just so happens to correspond to the specific DLL file for that driver for Crystal Reports C++ engine on Windows. For other deployments and engines (such as CRJ), it gets the right one if you specify crdb_jdbc.dll.
