What do they do to a refurbished 30" cinema?

I am thinking about one for my MBP. I shoot weddings and need a good display.
If the display was sent back for screen problems, dead pixels, banding etc. that means they put a new panel in most likely right? So in other words is a refurbished a good way to go for the price?
I am also considering a 24" NEC 2490wuxi which is a top rated monitor. I can pick one up for $1100 a bit cheaper..
Convince me the 30" is way better???

I've been using FCP Express and with the order I also negotiated a copy of FCP to do video editing of course of which I dabble in along with photographic posting/editing.
I agree the model is dated but I really like my current 24" (except the glossy screen not so much), I think Apple has great quality, support and I like to support my co. (stockholder).
For the price of the refurb model it's hard to beat..I know there are great competitors out there but I prefer to keep my system all Apple. I feel if you start mixing and you encounter any issues the finger pointing starts.

(The x64 would most likely mean 64 bit). It may be a Windows based application/plugin, but since I had never heard of either, I'm only guessing there. If you do a search systemwide for it and don't find it plus don't know why it's there, I'd say throw it in the trash (don't empty it yet - make a note of the file path just in case you do have something installed that needs it so you can move it back).
Glad to hear it's not a torrent; some people use those not realizing that quite often there is a price to pay for downloading stuff for free that costs money elsewhere - the software packages quite often include little "add-ons" = malware which you really don't want.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page. 
 
Another possibility is to use:

SCCM 2012 SP1 - Evil Folders in Reporting Services - What Are They and How to Remove Them

There are a lot of sub-folders in the http://CentralSiteSCCM/ReportServer. They are like:

<dir> Config_Mgr_CEN.OLD.0
<dir> Config_Mgr_CEN.OLD.1
<dir> Config_Mgr_CEN.OLD.10
<dir> Config_Mgr_CEN.OLD.100
<dir> Config_Mgr_CEN.OLD.1000
Only <dir> Config_Mgr_CEN is properly populated with the correct set of the default folders.
Would you be so kind to advise on:
What are they?
How to remove them?
What to do in order for them not to appear any more?

I ran into an issue when I did the SP1 upgrade where a majority of our reports were duplicated. I created a script to delete these duplicate reports and I've adjusted it to work for your situation. You can find the original thread here, if you're interested:

Yosemite 10.10.2 server app. FTP help. I have a program running in my local server enviroment that wants to FTP to my mac folder. It asks for the server , name, password, port and path. what are they?

So I have set up a localhost area in my Mac. I have the new server.app and I am running yosemite 10.10.2 .

I am pretty certain that the Serveris "localhost",
Name is my macs name (like my-mac-min)
password is "my login password"
and they suggest port 21.
But what is the file path, lets just say my site is set up http://localhost/siteftp and is actually at my Users/Sites/siteftp folder.
Why cant this program connect to the mac.
Is it because they are both operating in the same localhost enviroment,
could it be my folder permissions are not correct on siteftp folder?

I tried turning the computer off and then back on. The alerts don't show the notice to update as resolved. Hopefully this is not a problem or an indicator or another problem. Should I ignore or reload 10.10.1 from the app store to trigger a resolved check in a green circle?
Interesting that I had to buy server software after my free Yosemite download. I would have hoped that the two pieces of software would have gone together without any complication. It is not positive to end up buying a problem. Ah well, time to move on.

Icons in finder bar; what do they mean and how to get rid of them

Hi I notice these icons in my finder bar. I'm confused; what are they there for and how to get rid of them?

One is a Flash movie project and the other two a PDF files - you usually have them in your Finder window bar because you've dragged them to that location. You can get rid of them by selecting the icon with the Command key held down and drag them to the Desktop - poof! - they'll disappear.

Today, I randomly happened to have less than 1GB of hard drive space left. I found very large "frame" files, what are they?

I found very large "frame" files, what are they & can I delete them? (See screenshot). I'm a (17 today)-year-old film-maker and can't edit in FCP X anymore because I "don't have enough space". Every time I try to delete one, another identical file creates itself...
If that can help: I just upgraded to FCP 10.0.4 and every time I launch it it asks to convert my current projects (I know it would do it at least once) and I accept, but everytime I have to get it done AGAIN. My computer is slower than ever and I have a deadline this friday
I also just upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7.4, and the problem hasn't been here for long, so it may be linked...

The first thing you should do is to back up your personal data. It is possible that your hard drive is failing. If you are using Time Machine, that part is already done.
Then, I think it would be easiest to reformat the drive and restore. If you ARE using Time Machine, you can start up from your Leopard installation disc. At the first Installer screen, go up to the menu bar, and from the Utilities menu, first select to run Disk Utility. Completely erase the internal drive using the Erase tab; make sure you have the internal DRIVE (not the volume) selected in the sidebar, and make sure you are NOT erasing your Time Machine drive by mistake. After erasing, quit Disk Utility, and select the command to restore from backup from the same Utilities menu. Using that Time Machine volume restore utility, you can restore it to a time and date immediately before you went on vacation, when things were working.
If you are not using Time Machine, you can erase and reinstall the OS (after you have backed up your personal data). After restarting from the new installation and installing all the updates using Software Update, you can restore your personal data from the backup you just made.

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Thousands of strange images on iPhoto what are they?

I tried to down load my pics in iphoto into a file I could put on an external hard drive for back up. Now i have thousands of images some of which are called resources,water color text mat , uk.iprog ect. What are they & how do I make them go away? I'm vexed and bewildered.

It sounds like the hard drive was accidently dragged into the iPhoto window or onto the iPhoto icon in the Dock. If you downloaded your pics into a new library try starting over with a new library and see if you can avoid those images.

It is only when you get to the bottom, and that you want to PLAY GAMES that it is possible to answer.
Having 7300GT is worthless, unless to use 3rd monitor.
Only Windows has better Nvidia graphics and drivers for games. And if you run Windows, you can use PC card and leave the 7300GT for OS X alone.
