What do u do if u lock your self out of your ipod

what do you do if you do if you locked yourself out of your ipod

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

  • What can you do when you have used 5 out of your 5 computers for iTunes?

    Dell Latitude D600   Windows XP

I don't actually know which computers I've authorized - is there any way to see this information in account info? I suspect they were mostly all computers that have since crashed and were replaced.
Alternatively, I'd like to deauthorize all, but I'm worried that this may make me lose all the files I've downloaded onto my main computer. Does deauthorizing all computers (including the main one) affect the files at all, or just the ability to play them? Do I need to backup before I deauthorize all?
Thanks in advance. Didn't want to go ahead and deauthorize all without some assurance that I would lose all my files somehow.

  • Locked my self out of my macbook pro

Initial username and password. The username password isn't my Apple ID password, however I am locked out of my laptop. What is the best approach to retrieve?
    thank you

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know that account password, the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.

  • Business, Profits and Price Your customers out of your Market - Greed/ VZN Symbol of ?

Let me state that Verizon has positioned themselves as a a leader in wireless technology but only seems to want the top tier customers (those who will pay for VZN services no mater what the cost is) and the rest of us, loyal or not, can leave and contract wireless service with the competition. This concept is unjustified when a company, like most, creates a system with excess capability so they can lease this "4G back-bone", which was designed to be available for the VZN customer base, to the competition for profit and recouping development and network roll-out costs. In other words we pay premium while the 3rd parties pay,  giving VZN super profits to make them number 1 in the wireless industry.
Every high tech company that has their "business hat" on plans ahead to make money (from other business users) off of there venture, over and above their consumer base. This is done by selling, leasing, renting, etc the excess capacity that they planned and designed into there required technology needs (computers, storage capability, land lines/ terrestrial network, satellite capability, etc.).
If you understand where I'm coming from, then why the hell are we being billed for something else when Verizon comes out with a new technology innovation? They charge us more because they make it so we have to have more, pricing for existing features are increased, new features made mandatory are added costs to us, and ironically the competitors in a short time can offer us a better overall plan. How can this be?
I am upset because I am a disabled veteran living on a fixed income. My wife started using Verizon back in, or around 1998 and when I had to quit working in 2003 I added myself to her plan (no more company cell phone service). I don't make/earn $120K  a year anymore and Verizon doesn't care about loyalty (the new American way), they want the top tier customers who will pay what they charge. I was told today that I can cancel my service in April. I hope upper VZN management reads this before April and comes up with a plan for us all.
Oh! I can't even get 3G where I am at and my voice reception is weak. Why should I pay for 4G ($30) a month when I couldn't get it anyway even if I could afford it.
    Please, comment.

Are you moving out of Verizon's coverage area?
Of COURSE they should waive the ETF for you!
They used to! Since the recession hit, the policy changed. Well, it hit us too, Verizon! It's time to change it back.
My wife and I are loyal Verizon customers. We are moving to Switzerland so that she can pursue her PhD. We would LOVE to continue service with Verizon but that is not possible. However; we would like to continue service with them when we return in 4 years, but whether or not that happens will determined by how they say good-bye to us.
    There are a few options...
    1.  Waive the ETF for us, in effect saying "Thank you for your business. Please give us a call when you get back to the USA."
We realize that people have lied in the past to illigitimately circumvewnt the ETF. We are happy to provide proof that we are moving.
    2.  Stick to their guns and charge us $300 for a service we can't use at a time when we need every last cent, in effect saying "We don't care. See ya."
    3.  Some sort of compromise.  We would even be satisified if the ETF went towards future service with Verizon. SOMETHING!
    Let your voice be heard!
Post to this forum and let them know how you feel.
Did you sign a 2 year agreement?  Did Verizon give you a subsidized device?  If the answer to those questions is yes as I suppose it it, there is no reason that they should waive your ETF.  Verizon is a business, not a charity.

  • Why can't I find a way to express my discos at your forcing out of your CEO?

It looks like you have done all you can to avoid letting the public express of there opinion!!! Why don't you try to get Obama impeached he had the same opinion in 2008???

If you search past posts here on Brendan Eich, from when he was appointed (angry posts) and then after he resigned (different angry posts), you would see that consistently we say this is a tech support forum.

  • I am trying to findout what carrier my playbook 4GLTE is locked to.

I am trying to findout what carrier my playbook 4GLTE is locked to.
I bought playbook at an auction done from work for a charity for a Toronto youth fund. the box says telus and all info on box matches serial number and imei.  i have tried using my rogers sim, went to bell and checked, also chatted with telus online and by going to the store. playbook does not accpet any of these carriers sims. i have tried buy unlock code  and so far 8 codes dis not work. i have only two tries left. i have reached out to organizers of auction and have been waiting with no word from them.
what do i do. playbook works on wfi. the only reason i bought this playbook was to have a tablet for one of my data lines that, i can use when out and about.  i tried calling blackberry support and the way the person i spoke to last time i called  addressed me was very shameful even though i have registered for the complimentary 90days support. i have 3 other playbooks that i use in my home by all are wifi models only.
details of playbook is below. will really appreciate anyones help.
IMEI is <removed> and the serial <removed>. the prd from the box is prd-<Removed>.
    playbook is on OS 2.1.0.1526
MOD EDIT: Removed personal information to comply with Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use.

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

  • What are the security settings to lock down a form with fillable fields and yet allow someone with Reader to fill in the fields as will as save the form and print it?

What are the security settings to lock down a form with fillable fields and yet allow someone with Reader to fill in the fields as will as save the form and print it?

You want to allow someone to open your document and fill out the form (in the fields you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here's the answer - assuming you are using Acrobat Pro and someone will be opening the PDF using at least Acrobat Reader 9 and up:
Tools > Protection > Encrypt < Encrypt with Password
Answer YES to change the security.
    A new window opens:
Do NOT select Document Open (or that will require a password to open the document.)
Select: Permissions (Check the box next to "Restrict editing and printing of the document.")
Change the following 2 settings from the drop-down box:
              Printing Allowed: Select High Resolution
Changes Allowed: Select Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing signature fields
Leave selected: "Enable text access for screen reader devices for the visually impaired"
Change Permissions Password (insert a strong password)
Leave all other settings alone in "Options"
              OK - OK
Re-enter the Permissions Password (the one you entered above)
              OK - OK
Save the PDF to apply the security [notice that (SECURED0 will appear after the document title]
