Standard steps from the manual are to restart, reset, restore and restore as new if necessary. Which steps have you done?

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if this was a common problem.
I updated to iOS 5.1 the day it got released and quickly realised that my wifi kept cutting out, usually after I had locked the phone and started using it again. I didn't think much of it but it kept happening. Most commonly, I would go to work, use the 3g then when coming home it would connect automatically to the wifi and it would show that its connected but wouldn't load any pages. A week or so later, my lock button decided to cave in so I was given a new iPhone by the apple store but the problem still exists. My wifi works fine on my macbook and the 3-4 other laptops we have around the house, its just my iPhone it seem. The problem is still going on now.
Basically my iPhone shows that its connected to wifi but if I go to safari to browse, it doesnt load anything. The only way I can fix it is by going to settings and turning wifi on then off and this usually works for around 10 minutes before it happens again.
Any suggestions? I have the iPhone 4S. Ive tried 'forgetting the network' and re-entering my password for the wifi, tried a hard turn on and off, of the iphone. Any other suggestions and is anyone else having this problem?

I had this issue. The only fix was to get a new sim (for $25 from Optus - thanks Optus). Worryingly, the no sim message reappeared briefly last night, but disappeared after power on/off
Probably not a coincidence - my iPad 3g microsim (also from Optus) has stopped working too after the upgrade. It did work initially, but now give a "No cellular data" message. Optus can't find a problem with it. So it looks like I need to replace that too.

Very frustrating - whether its music bought from iTunes or the radio, listening to it through headphones or not, the same problem occurs. Some days its fine, some days every single song cuts out, sometimes for seconds, sometimes continuously. It appears to be a volume issue as when playing a song, the line underneath the 'play' button with the volume 'dot' is there - yet this dissapears when the music cuts out, although it says it is still playing the song, The problem isn't rectified if I just move it on to another either, all that seems to work is to un-plug my headphones and plug them back in again. iTunes Match is associated with a specific Apple Id. If you use the same Id to enable iTunes Match on your IOS device you will see the same Songs.
Once iTune Match is enabled on a device (your shared computer for example), Apple cares about not allowing another Apple Id to be associated with that same device for a period of 90 days. Thus having more than one Apple Id associated with a single device to support multiple active iTunes Match subscriptions is simply not supported.
Whilst your music would be combined, you can from a single device associate more than one library with iTunes Match - until you can access separate devices this is perhaps the best compromise.

What I'd do doesn't really matter. These are not one-size-fits-all matters so each needs to determine his/her own strategy and tactics based on the individual's situation, goals, priorities, preferences, etc. IMO you don't know what to do because you're not clear on these matters. Very True, I am not clear but with the help of the community giving me things to consider I am getting there.
You need to define what you needs/want and then prioritize that list. That will give you a list of critiera that you then use to select cards that suit you. Thanks. Good way to focus my thinking about it.
Rewards is a common criteria and if rewards matter to you then you need to look at your spend and where your money is going to select rewards with the most benefit to you. Since i’m going to be using a main CC, I’d rather have cash rewards first or rewards that are versatile for gift cards. I already have a travel card that works well for me so thats not that important.

Add up the ages of the accounts and divide by the number of accounts. Many find it easier to convert into months, calculate and then convert back into years. You can use Excel and its date formulas if you don't want to do this manually. There are also online AAoA calculators. Experian is more likely to be correct. CS is probably providing AAoOA.

You're really not leveraging a 0% offer if you're PIF'ing each month. Again, I'd recommend looking at your spend and ensuring that your card lineup maxmizes rewards on your spend. The Double Cash is a good option for non category spend but if you haven't found higher rewards for a major spend category that you have then you might want to look into finding something for that category. Have you tried a different location with respect to the router? Maybe interference is causing the problem

I assume that it is because I now have an intel machine. I know other people have used this file format and so how do you open your photo files?

I don't use anything to speed up FCP X on your MBP.
Seriously we need statistical info on why you think it needs speeding up.
Poor performance is often associated with incorrect usage, lots of other apps open or a hard drive that is more than 75% full or fragmented.
Ideally all the media should be stored on an external hard drive and not the MBP's.

Wifi keeps dropping out on MacBook Pro after installing Yosemite. This is not good. Apparently, a lot of people are having this issue with Yosemite. Any suggestions for my MacBook Pro? It's bad enough that Yosemite looks so boring, but to have a major issue like constantly disconnecting from wifi is deplorable.
I plan to keep Mavericks on my iMac until this issue is resolved.
