Trying to download iTunes to an HP with Windows 7. Keep getting this message:
%PUBLIC%\Desktop\
What do I do? Please tell me before I throw this laptop out the window!!

Connect the iPod to yur computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery mode if ncessary to allow the restore.

Yes, this is because Lion or ML which you are using have lousy networking.
The trick is simply reboot the TC..
Or on Lion use the 5.6 utility and disconnect all users.
For ML sorry.. Apple decided you don't need that function any more!!.

Unplug your Time Capsule from power. Wait 10 seconds and then power it on again. When the light goes green try backing up again.

The use of iMessage depends on both the sender and the receiver having an active data connection. If either of the two connections are interrupted, the message can fail. The sending of an iMessage differs from the sending of an SMS, and if you are having SMS failures, that would be a carrier concern.

I can no longer import pictures in any of my Aperture libraries even though I have deleted a lot of raw and jpeg files. How should I be deleting the pictures?
if your Library is a managed one, then your delete-workflow is perfect. If it is not managed, then the procedure is a little more complicated.
Managed means, all master files of your images are stored inside your Aperture Library, referenced means they are stored somewhere outside the library. To create a referenced library you either decide at the time of the import to keep your master image files in their current location or to copy/move them into to library. Or you relocate managed master files to a new place outside Aperture.
Since do not know if your masters are referenced or managed, they are probably managed, but you can check that with the badge-overlay:
Referenced images should be displayed in the Browser with a curved arrow in the lower right corner, as described in this article: Understanding Badge Overlays:
We need to know if there are referenced images, because when you delete the images it could be done in a way that the masters will not be deleted along with your version, also you will need storage outside your library.

You're in danger of the Mac shutting down, that's all. Recharge your battery when you get a chance.
If you believe the message is spurious an SMC reset is justified. Read all the steps:
Before Resetting the SMC
Try each of the following steps in this order before you reset the SMC. Test the issue after completing each troubleshooting step to determine if the issue still occurs.
Press Command + Option + Escape to force quit any application that is not responding.
Put your Mac to sleep by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Sleep. Wake the computer after it has gone to sleep.
Restart your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Restart.
Shut down your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Shut Down.
Resetting the SMC on Mac portables with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery (to remove the battery - click here: MacBook or MacBook Pro).
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Still having problems? Replace steps 6 and 7 with the following:
Reconnect just the MagSafe power adapter.

I've tried to figure this out, but I must be missing something, when I try to open Iphoto I get this message , I've got Aperture 3.3 and the latest Iphoto, but I am unsure what I need to do when I,ve opened Aperture. I cannot open Iphoto as a stand alone program.

It sounds like an error on the server: Firefox may be sending something unexpected, inconsistent, or incomplete that is causing the failure. But since they give so little information, that's just a guess.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

"Day2Card2Canon" contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media I thin the media was shot on a Canon 5d mark 2 or a 7d we are using fcp 7

Thanks for the help, I did that and still got the error. What I ended up doing is going to Canon's site and downloading a newer plugin so I can use log and transfer. That seems to bring up the clips in the tool now final cut pro is crashing and saying its the plug in from canons fault. I have used the plug in before an older version an it worked fine. What I am doing now is using mpeg streamclip to convert the clips to apple pro res and importing them that way. Thanks for the help. Any Idea why the plugin would cause fcp to crash?

To be honest I'd be very tempted to ring Applecare and explain that prior to downloading iOS5 your iPod Touch worked perfectly however since downloading Apple's new iOS5 it's "bricked" therefore can they as a matter of decency try to help put things right warranty situation notwithstanding. Afterall it does appear to be one of Apple's products that has broken your previously working iPod Touch.
