So I droped my ipod one day on the sidewalk, and now it wont even turn on. it stays frozen at the apple.... anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?

Probably suffered internal damage after the drop. Discounted replacement Nanos are $65 for 8GB or $75 for 16GB, assuming you have the latest 6th generation iPod. If you have a different generation, please say so.

I got my ipod (30 GB - U2) in July and have the same problem. Every now and then it just won't shut off, can't figure out why. I switch it off by pressing down the play/pause-button until it shuts down and then lock. But once I unlock it, well it's still been on power and the battery capacity has been lowered.
