What do you need to install to run a deployed executable with IEEE?

I'm having trouble to communicate with my IEEE device thru LabVIEW.  I just want to double check if I installed the right things.  I developed my application in LabVIEW 8.0, and deployed an executable to a test system.  The test system has the IOTech IEEE Driver, and the LabVIEW 8.0 Run Time Engine.  I just want to know if I need to install anything else other than the run time engine.  Please dont' go into the compatibility of the IOTech driver and LabVIEW.'
Thanks
See-Ming =(

yeah.. it does come with a program to communicate with the card
the problem is, I'm having problems communicating thru LabVIEW, but not the utility program.  And this only happens on my test system, not my development system.
Oh well.. I'll keep calling IOTech and see if they can help..
Thanks!

  • What do I need to install to run Java?

Please can anyone help. I need Java to enable me to learn programming at college. The thing is that my notes tell me that I need the JDK so that I can run stuff through a Tomcat Server.
Anyway, I am getting in a right muddle. There doesnt seem to be a download for the JDK on the sun site. There appears to now be a JRE and an SDK. I download the SDK but when I create a simple Servlet where I import javax.servlet etc it does not recognise the javax stuff when i compile on the command menu. I am located in the right place too.
I then roll back my computer to before the SDK was installed and then try and install the JRE. This is then a problem as it appears that you dont get the javac stuff with this. Please Please please could someone give me the link to the page where I can download all that I need? Ie all the classes, and the javac also. It appears that the original JDK download may have had both...
    I'm stumped...

    J,
Hi again. I now have a copy of J2SE SDK and J2EE SDK installed. My Tomcat server is pointing to the J2SE SDK and is working fine. The javac Java compiler is also being recognised and is working ok.
The thing is, the java program that I have written needs the import javax.servlet.*; and import javax.servlet.http.*; stuff and its nowhere to be seen on either versions (J2SE or J2EE). Do you know where it is? All I get when I compile are errors concerning the fact that the system does not recognise an HttpServlet etc.
I have even done a windows search for files containing the world Servlet in their name on my system and all I seem to get are the documents within the API documentation and not the classes themselves.
I was told the installation of Java was easy but I am completely stuck now. Please can you help again.
    Best regards,
    Rob

Hi zimieh. Do you get it by going to the app store and run update,. If not here is a link for the only java update I find for Yosemite.  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

and - check with Adobe - would strongly suspect you need to upgrade CS. Strongly consider Creative Cloud, access to the entire TypeKit alone is amazing.

Sorry, I didn't say it damages Java.
Yes, I know. You were quoting from a post on Adobe's site.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it wasn't since Mountain Lion.
Yes, I think that's correct. Apple stopped installing Java as part of the OS after Lion. If you check the installers for Mountain Lion through Yosemite, there are a lot of root Java processes OS X still installs, or Java wouldn't work at all. It's just the actual runtime environment no longer installs. The user has to do that.
that the application files are damaged. They are not talking about JAVA itself.
What application files? Do you mean the Adobe apps themselves? If so, yes, it's been reported that the CS5 and CS6 apps in particular usually need to be reinstalled after upgrading OS X to Yosemite. That's actually an old problem that isn't a Yosemite only issue.

I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,
    http://www.perian.org/
and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime.

  • What do I need to install?

OK, I am an Oracle newbie here, so go easy on me. Here at my job I just got a new computer and I need to figure out what Oracle products I need to install in order to continue doing my work.
My new PC is a 64-bit Windows 7 desktop computer. It has Crystal Reports 2008 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Visual Studio also has Crystal Reports for Visual Studio installed. The work I do has me writing reports against the database our vendor-supplied software uses, which is an Oracle 10g database (I believe). I know that I currently use the Oracle 10g client on my old computer (32-bit Windows 7) to connect to this database.
In addition to running reports, I also have custom written console applications written in C# which query this Oracle database. It does this by referencing the Oracle.DataAccess DLL file. The version of that DLL is 10.2.0.100.
Now, my assumption was that I needed the Oracle Client installed, and since I was using the 10g client before, I looked for this again but in a 64-bit compatible version. It does not appear that this exists, or it did at one point and does not anymore. So I tried instead to use the 64-bit compatible version for 11g. I managed to get that installed and used the info from my old tnsnames.ora file to set up connections to my old production and development databases, but that was all the further I could get. I believe I also need something called Oracle Data Access installed as well, but I couldn't seem to find the right version of that.
Oracle is outside of the scope of what we normally do here in our shop, so I haven't managed to find anyone here who can assist me. I'm hoping the good folks here can tell me, based on what I have and what I need to do, what I need to install. If there is any more I can provide that will help (version numbers, etc.), just let me know. Thanks!

  • What do i need to install on my mac to view and edit word, excel, projects programs

What do i need to install on my mac to use word, excell,ms projects.
    Allan

LibreOffice gives you most if not all the functionality of Microsoft's Office suite of products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
ProjectLibre gives you most if not all the functionality of MS Project.
Both run natively on OS X and are totally FREE.
Lastly, if you need to access Windows computers from your Mac, Microsoft Remote Desktop is available for free from the App Store. It is a vast improvement over the Remote Desktop Connection that comes with the MS Office for Mac commercial product.

  • Safari 8 error: "...you need to install the Java Runtime Environment"

Ever since upgrading to Yosemite and Safari 8, I continually get the error "To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment" and, although I did do so the first time I got the error, and Java tells me I do have the latest version installed and running, I continue to get this error constantly.
Is there a way to stop this, or at least find out what content is causing it? I can't put my finger on any particular content that causes the error.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It makes no changes to your data.
Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    java -version
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
If the Apple Java runtime is installed and up to date, you should get three lines of output below what you entered, the first of which is this:
    java version "1.6.0_65"
Is that what you get? You can then quit Terminal.

  • What do I need to install when I install oralce in linux and oracle client

What do I need to install when I install oralce in linux and oracle client in windows?
I want to connect oracle from windows to Linux, what do I need to install or setup? thanks.

Are you trying to install the DB on Linux from your Windows Box? if so, you need to have an XWindows client on your client. You have to SSH or Telnet into the box, set your DISPLAY variable. In fact, it is all in your documentation for the DB install. We still don't understand what you are exactly asking.
Do you have direct access to your Linux machine? If so, and it has a graphical GUI, then you can find install guides for most flavors of Linux at dizwell.com. His are most excellent and show examples, but do not go over the XWindows problem. You would have to resolve that first.
A free XWindows environment for Windows is Cygwin.
Once the DB is running on Linux then all you do is create a TNS entry on it on your client and it connects. It is the same as setting up a connection to connect to Oracle on a Windows box.

In the details it is mentioned that it is an outdated version of Java.
Is this a security risk that i need to live with to get CS5 to run with Yosemite?
Also i need to reject messages from Java in the future about updates, or not?
    thx for any input

  • To open "CS5ServiceManager" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.

Recently updated to OSX Yosemite.  Now every time I turn the computer on I get this message.
To open "CS5ServiceManager" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.
I don't know what CS5ServiceManager is.  And when I click on the "More Info" button, I am redirected to a blank screen.  So I'm confused and a little worried.  Is it necessary to install Java SE 6 runtime?  If so, I think I can find the instructions on how to do it, but I'd like to know if (1) it is safe to do so and (2) if it's necessary.

Here it is: Apple Java 2014-001. Quite safe to install. Only necessary if you are using Adobe's CS5 suite.

When I try and open adobe illustrator I get a pop up message saying "To open “Adobe Illustrator CS6” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime." it also says "Click “More Info…” to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website." When i click more info it transfers me to an apple page which never loads, its just a blank page. I downloaded Java SE 6 like it says it needs but it did nothing. All of my other Adobe programs such as bridge, dreamweaver, lightroom, Photoshop, indesign, and flash all work except for illustrator. What can I do to fix this?

Go to Apple and look for the Java for OSX 2014-001 link. Download from there and install it.
