What do you recommend to get started with Dynamics Marketing? Book, You Tube, help searches, etc.? Please advise.

Trying to get started with marketing using dynamics and tutorials, help searches and you tube seem to be fruitless. What do you recommend to get started? Buy a book to walk thru setting up company settings and creating campaigns? Need some easy steps on
not what the software is capable of but how to do it with easy 1-2-3 steps.  Please share you thoughts!!

Hi cb,
I would recommend a few articles here. There are videos, walkthroughs and ebooks that you can take a look at the have
a better understanding of not only what the product is capable of, but how to actually configure and work with it.

  • What do i need to get started with windows messages?

    Hello, i've searched these forums and found no answer. I would like to know how i can get started sending and recieving windows messages in labVIEW. Thanks

    LabVIEW does not support direct acces to the Windows Message Queue. I asume that you are asking this in regard to enqueued events. There are certain events which are of interested for LV and therefore they will be "passed on to LV" (simplified expression).
    If you want to have access to the Windows Message Queue manually, you have to create your own interface using MFC-based C++ wrapper. I think there are examples available for such things, but they are most often focused on specific tasks, so maybe (if available at all) they will not help you.....
    hope this helps,

  • Wondering what GPU is best to get started with.

    As a Pr novice not working on intensive graphics, is the ATI Radeon HD GPU sufficient to get going or is the Quadro 4000 Cuda the real way to go?

    The Quadro 4000 will yield substantial performance benefits in Premiere via GPU acceleration, especially when trying to push 2k footage. More layers, more effects in realtime. The 10-bit reference spawned from the graphics mention, but the display being used has nothing to do with editing performance in Premiere and you would see definite benefits with the 4000 card

  • How to get Started with Obj Oriented AS3? (Flash Help seems broken)

    OK I dont want to be the noob that doesn't read the manual
    and asks stupid questions, but I'm stuck here. It's been a LONG
    time since I had any real flash experience (Flash 5 in depth and a
    little Flash 8). But now my job has lead me back into some flash
    work & I'm basically starting from scratch. I'm trying to just
    get a simple SWF to load an external class & have the class
    retrun a value from a method.
    I define
    package
    public class Greeter
    public function sayHello():String
    var greeting:String;
    greeting = "Hello World!";
    return greeting;
    in an .as file (which is located in the same directory as my
    .fla) and then in frame 1 of my time line I have:
    var myGreeter:Greeter = new Greeter();
    mainText.text = myGreeter.sayHello("Bob");
    When I try & test the movie I get 2 errors:
    1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant:
    Greeter.

    CPruittCCB,
    > var myGreeter:Greeter = new Greeter();
    > mainText.text = myGreeter.sayHello("Bob");
    >
    > When I try & test the movie I get 2 errors:
    I'm only getting one, which is "Incorrect number of
    arguments. Expected
    no more than 0," and the reason for that is because the
    sayHello() method
    isn't set up to receive any parameters. If you change your
    existing ...
    public function sayHello():String
    ... to this ...
    public function sayHello(msg:String):String
    ... just as a for-instance, that error goes away. Have you
    saved both the
    FLA and the AS file? If you haven't saved your FLA yet, it
    won't know where
    to find your Greeter.as file (that is, the Greeter class),
    which would
    explain your "type not found" error.
    Check Edit > Preferences, ActionScript category, and
    click the
    ActionScript 3.0 Settings button to make sure your classpath
    setting has an
    entry with nothing but a dot (.) in it. That dot means "Look
    in the current
    folder" when Flash needs to start hunting for external
    classes. Otherwise,
    you'll have to use the import statement to let Flash know
    where that Greeter
    class is.
    Another thing to consider, if you're expecting to see the
    word "Bob" in
    the text field, is that you're not currently passing the
    incoming parameter
    back out of the method (because there is no incoming
    parameter). Something
    like this would do it:
    package {
    public class Greeter {
    public function sayHello(msg:String):String {
    var greeting:String;
    greeting = "Hello, " + msg;
    return greeting;

  • I can't get a signal through whole house because of a brick wall   What range extender do you recommend to be used with my wireless router ( apple brand)

    I can't get a signal through whole house because of a brick wall   What range extender do you recommend to be used with my wireless router ( apple brand)

    Very few 3rd party wireless extenders will work with an Apple router, so your best bet is always to use an extender that is the same brand as the main router. An AirPort Express is a popular choice for this type of application with another Apple router.
    If you had a Cisco router, then a Cisco extender would be your best bet.  Same for Netgear, etc.
    But......a wireless extender can only "extend" the quality of wireless signal that it receives, and not much of a wireless signal is going to make it through a brick wall, so whether any extender might do what you want is open to question.
    You won't know whether an extender using wireless to connect will work to your satisfaction in your home until you actually try it out in your home.
    The performance will always be much better if you can connect the extending device back to the main router using a wired Ethernet cable connection.
    If it is not possible to run the Ethernet cable, a pair of Ethernet power line adapters might be able to send the signal over the existing AC power lines in your home. The theory with these devices is that you already have the wiring in place, you just need the adapters.
    In practice though, things do not always work as well as the theory might suggest, so if you decide to try a pair of adapters, it might be a good idea to understand the store's return policies before you buy.

    Hi Christoph and WarriorAnt,
    Thank you both for the replies.
    I don't know anything about GarageBand because I've never used it. I've never used any music software before, (other than iTunes, Ha!)
    I don't have GarageBand on my Mac because it wasn't stock on the old Powerbook G4, so I would have to buy it. I'm happy to do that if I can figure out that it does what I want ... but I'm overwhelmed by the info at Apple's site. Too much for a beginner like me. Even the wikipedia.com entry for GB uses too many terms I don't know, so I'm easily lost.
    I just want to be able to set up drum loops and play along with them. The main thing is that I'm able to use third party loops. There are so many really amazing loop products out there ... jungle drums, acoustic jazz drums, lounge, etc. I don't want to get caught up in anything proprietary (like Band-In-A-Box) because the selection is limited. I'm sure GarageBands loops are great, but I want access to all these other third party loops as well ... loops that were not specifically made for GarageBand.
    Will GarageBand let me drop in any and all drum loops from these other companies?
    And does GarageBand work like a basic sequencer, where I can program up an intro, X number of measures of a loop, then a turnaround, then a variation loop, then an ending, etc?
    I know the high-end stuff like Native Instruments Kontakt does this, but unfortunately it also does a kazillion other professional-level things I will never need and don't want to pay for (and which make the software more complex and daunting).
    Thank you again, both of you, for responding and helping me with this project.
    Just a little more advice on those two questions would really go a long way.

  • What do I need to know to get started with Windows 10?

    QuestionWhat do I need to know to get started with Windows 10?
    AnswerWindows 10 likely looks familiar in some ways to past Windows users whether they're most familiar with Windows 8, Windows 7, or earlier versions of Windows.
    To read about what's new with Windows 10, check the sections below. To learn about Windows 10 and see it in action, you can watch this video:
    Desktop and Start menu
    When you start your Windows 10 computer, you'll see the desktop. Like in Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows, you'll see the Start button in the lower-left, which opens  the Start menu.
    The new Start menu combines aspects of Windows 7's Start menu with Windows 8's Start screen. On the left are important links, including Settings, as well as applications you use often. On the right are Modern UI app tiles. The Start menu also contains a button for power as well as a button to expand the Start menu to a full screen view.
    Cortana
    Next to the Start button is the Cortana search field. Cortana is a personal assistant that can help you find answers, solve issues, and search for files. You can click in the box to typer to her, click the microphone to speak to her, or press the Cortana button on select Toshiba laptops to speak to her.
    You can learn more about Cortana here:
    How do I use Cortana in Windows 10?
    Action Center
    The Action Center can be used to view notifications and access settings quickly.  Hold the Windows key and press the 'A' key to open the Action Center.
    Notifications are shown at the top, and toggles for various settings are located at the bottom.
    On touchscreen devices, you can swipe in from the right to open the Action Center. The toggles on the bottom are sized so that you can press them with your thumb easily.

    Install 7. Don't bother with applying drivers and such, just reboot again from DVD and install again, it will see the existing system and this time activation will be possible.
    Vista is mess, takes longer etc. Hope you have SP1 version of 7. And for Vista, only SP2+ are even supported now, by MS.

  • Where can I find "Getting Started with AppleScript"?

    I googled it. And it doesn't show any links from Apple. I'm trying to learn AppleScript and the Language guide says to go through the Overview first which in turn recommends going through Getting Started with AppleScript.
    I even searched Mac Reference Library but it just doesn't show up!
    Any help?
    Neerav

    No, certainly not. I mean, I don't know any AppleScript, but I can say with certainty that the answer to that question is no.
    Objective-C is a programming language that is an extension of the C language. It is the language that is used to develop applications for Mac and iPhone. Other languages like C++ and Java can be used as well, but Objective-C is the language that Apple really intends for you to use for Mac and iPhone development, since it is heavily integrated with the Cocoa framework (for Mac developemt) and Cocoa Touch framework (for iPhone development). You need to know the C language to learn the Objective-C language, and you need to know the Objective-C language to work with the Cocoa or Cocoa Touch frameworks, but AppleScript is a totally separate and different animal from these things. AppleScript is a scripting language, and although it can technically be used to create applications from what I understand, it is mainly used as a mechanism for controlling applications. For example, you could use AppleScript to tell a certain application to perform a certain task everyday at a certain time. You can use it to create automated workflows and whatnot. I think that's what it's mainly meant for.
    It's worth noting, however, taht there is a development environment called AppleScriptObjC. I don't really know anything about this, except that it allows for AppleScript to be used as the primary programming language.
    I found a lot of this information at [Wikipedia's AppleScript page|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppleScript], so you might want to consider looking over it real quick -- it might be helpful. Here is the link to [Wikipedia's Objective-C page|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Objective-c] and [Wikipedia's Cocoa page|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocoa_%28API%29]. As someone said on these forums, Wikipedia is far from the last word on any subject, but those links might be helpful for you for just getting an idea of what these things are all about.
    Hope that helps some. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Can not get example to work after following instructions given in "Getting Started with the NI LabVIEW C Generator" guide

    We explored using sbRIO for our project, for different reasons we ended up going with a different embedded solution . We are currently evaluating the LabVIEW C Generator to convert some of the core analysis routines from LabVIEW to C so the team that will be creating the embedded solution don't have to re-implement them from scratch.
    Before converting our code, I followed the instructions given in the "Getting Started with the NI LabVIEW C Generator" manual to create a static library created inCygwin using GNU Compiler Collection (GCC).
    I managed to compile the code, but when I type "run GCD.exe" in the Cygwin console, I just see the window flash with no time to see if the result is correct or not. I modified the main.c cde to add a getchar(), but the window still just flashes and now I am left with the GCD process still running and have to kill it using Windows Task Manager.
    Has anyone else got this example to run? I am sure I am missing an obvious setting or step, please help me.
    More details below.
    Thanks,

    I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I am attaching a zip file with the LabVIEW project, my build specification and my version of "Greatest Common Divisor.vi", which should be the same as the one that you have that ships with the LabVIEW C Generator, but just in case. I am also attaching a zip file with the C files generated by the LabVIEW C Generator.

  • Getting started with an iBook G3?

    Hey,
    I just got an iBook G3 (500mhz, snow, airport, 10gb hd, upgraded ram), to compliment my iMac (G5 rev c) and I'm a little new.
    It was used, I got it via trade.
    Does anyone have some tips for me to get started with it ? I'm wanting to upgrade the HD to at least 20 GB, and to max out the ram. Any hints on that ?
    Also, where can I get a new battery and charger ?
    Also, what else should I know about it ?
    It will mainly be used for writing (novel, fan-fics), surfing the web (wirelessly), and when I'm traveling...
    Oh, it has OSX10.2 installed.

    Hi, Josh. Welcome to Apple Discussions.
    How much RAM is installed?
    Does it have the original AirPort card installed? (You may want to install one, if not, to enable wireless access to the internet.)
    Did the original system CD's and the OS X 10.2 software CD's come with it? If not, try to get the person you got it from to give them to you. You will need them if you intend to upgrade the hard drive (and for maintenance, even if you don't upgrade the hard drive).

    Enough dual USB G3 iBooks suffered from a logic board problem that Apple began the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program in January of 2004. Check out the FAQ page and be aware of how this logic board problem manifests itself.
    It has been suggested that you can minimize the chance of a logic board failure of this sort by never picking it up by the front left corner alone. Pick it up with both hands or in the center under the trackpad.
    It's also a good idea not to close it any more often than you need to in order to minimize the chance of the backlight cable (and other cables and wires) becoming pinched in the hinge or broken. When you have some time, check out the Discussion thread in the Displays Forum entitled 90 degrees and black out!!!!
    Information on using the battery to maximize both life and lifespan can be found here.

  • Java Applet HelloWorld "Getting Started With Applets" example not working

    Hi there,
    It's been ages since I ran my Linux CentOS boot of Linux but I am going through the official oracle java applet tutorials, just every time I try and run the "Hello World" applet in Firefox 17.0.3 and I am running the Iced Tea thing for java applets.
    Every time I try and run the example from the following code:
    import javax.swing.JApplet;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    public class HelloWorld extends JApplet
      // called when the user enters the html page:
      public void init() // keep apps within the init() function very small as per the http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/deployment/applet/appletMethods.html
        try{
          SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(new Runnable()
            public void run()
           JLabel myLabel = new JLabel("Hello World");
           add(myLabel);
            } // end running the application
          }); //end of swing invokeand wait
        } catch (Exception error){ // end user running the app in page
           // System.err.println("GUI didn't work on initial run");
    }It keeps bringing up the error "Start: Applet not initialized" I did google that basic error and from what I found I should consult the JavaConsole, I know the console was removed from the Firefox menu quite a while ago. So went to find a way of loading it using the IcedTea one but it keeps bringing up a load of errors in even trying to run that.
    Is there anyway of sorting this out? I mean I have even tried installing the one on the oracle website, the plain JDK but nothing seems to work.
    Is there anyone that can help me get applets working? I was even going to go as far as to reinstall my distro but I want to avoid that as much as possible.
    Thanks and I look forward to any replies,
    Jeremy.

    in the Getting Started with Java DB tutorial they
    tell u how to set ur "DERBY_HOME" (what is that?).
    once i press enter after typing this command:
    set DERBY_HOME=D:\Java\Java
    Phonebook\javadb in my command prompt do i get
    any message or does it just go to the next line?type env or set or whatever in the command line to see what your environment variables are set to
    they also tell u how to set ur "JAVA_HOME" (what is
    that?). The Java installation you want to use
    in their example they give u this: set
    JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\j2se1.4.2_05but in my java folder i have jdk1.6.0 and jre1.6.0
    but no j2se1.4.2_05, so which 1 must i choose?It's up to you. I'd go with 1.6
    also once ive done this: set
    DERBY_HOME=D:\Java\Java Phonebook\javadb this
    set JAVA_HOME=D:\Program
    Files\Java\jre1.6.0 and this set
    PATH=%DERBY_HOME%\bin;%PATH% and then type
    sysinfo to verify that the variables were set
    correctly i get these errors: 'D:\Java\Java' is
    not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file and '""'
    is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file any help would
    really be appreciated because this is really killing
    me!you need to set your path variable - so something like:
    set PATH=C:\Program Files\Java\j2se1.4.2_05\bin
