What do you think of the new creative cloud cc that was just released?

What do you think of the new creative cloud cc that was just released? I'm using it now and I think it's great. It's cs6 on stereroids lol More new features that people who fully paid for cs6 should of had.
I do wish the cloud standard price changes to 29.99 a month for all users so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the cloud.

I just downloaded CC, and still have all my CS6 apps as backup. Bridge CC (64-bit) is showing the same unacceptable performance I had with CS6 version. Can't believe that Adobe is so inept. I did fix the CS6 version but I forget how I did it.  CS6 version of Bridge is near instantaneous. And it's not a matter of building the cache. It takes the program forever just to respond to a simple mouse click in the menu bar.
Photoshop CC crashed my machine, whereas CS6 version runs perfectly. Afraid to download any further apps.
Adobe 11 failed to install because it think's prior version of the that program is still on the computer. I never installed Acrobat 11 on this machine. Just Acrobat 10, which also got the stupid 30-day "refuse to start" bug, so I'm using Acrobat 9.5 which works flawlessly.  Funny how the newer the code from Adobe, the worse it gets for its customers.
I'm using Win 7 Pro, 16GB mem, Nvidia 2800M video card on Thinkpad with i7-920XM chip.

  • What do you think about the new and improved SiriusDecisions Waterfall?

SiriusDecisions launched their new and improved Demand Waterfall this week at their Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, I have attached the PDF for your viewing pleasure. What do you think? What's strong? What's weak? Do you agree with Tony Jaros that teleprospecting is a required step in the Marketing Qualification process?

It makes a lot of sense from our perspective.  Our sales organization has always generated the bulk of our leads, so it makes sense to account for them and to build programs to support them.  It was a great conference - my first SiriusDecisions Summit.  I came away both energized and overwhelmed.
Our Inside Sales team qualifies almost all inquiries via telephone, so it makes sense to me that "teleprospecting" is a required step.  The only exceptions are sales-generated leads, so the waterfall reflects that perfectly.
What I like most about the new waterfall is that it creates a clear structure for us to focus more on developing lead nurturing and pipeline acceleration programs specifically for teleprospecting- and sales-generated leads.  I'll admit that we've neglected this (simply including those contacts in our marketing-generated lead nurtures).  Furthermore, it reinforces the need to tailor nurtures to the buyer's stage in the buying process.  We tend to move all of our contacts through the same campaign and nurture activities as if they're progressing together, which obviously isn't the case.
I'd be interested in learning how other Eloqua users are getting data back from their CRM on a contact who has turned into a qualified lead.  How do you find this information out?  Do you then put them through an individual nurture that is focused on accelerating the deal?

  • What do you think of the new Neon

What do you guys think of the neon 2!?
    http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=23&subcategory=24&product=560 9
I have no idea why they even bothered making the neon , really its sole purpose was to have cartoonish skins that kids could enjoy in asia. Instead of dropping it now theres the neon 2 with a colour screen...which the original should have had.
When i first looked at it...it made me feel weird. I guess because there are no frontal buttons and that just weirded me out. Anyways, what do you guys think?
Someone will buy it....just not sure who yet? WHO USES SIDE BUTTONS THESE DAYS? they have like 30 cm2 to put a worthy pad in.

I think the Neeon 2 is interesting. I guess the Neeon 2 is meant for those who don't like the way the Zen V looks. I prefer the looks of the Neeon 2, although I don't like like the thumbwheel. How is the Neeon 2 priced there compared to the Zen V and V Plus? The Neeon 2 has a radio and video , so I guess the V Plus is the player to compare it to.

  • What do you think of the new multi-takes feature?

So the new multi-take feature seems to be the way it's done in ProTools - they layer on top of one another and you can click on the region to select the appropriate take.
Personally, that had confused me a bit, because things were hidden. I liked seeing everything I had, so I really liked the way Logic worked it, allowing multiple tracks tied to the same audio object. I would then comp takes by separating regions and leaving good takes unmuted. That way I can still see the takes that I didn't use for the comp. Make sense?
I'm curious what you guys think are pros and cons of the two approaches.

After using it for an hour it s totally unusable for me.
When I comp I often have to nudge bits of audio to get the feel right.
You cannot do this at all and also auditioning the takes is also very painful.
So is this for clicktrack-guided single tracks then? Can this be used when you record simultaneous multiple tracks (think orchestra with a main stereo pair, spots on woodwinds and several others - say 12 tracks at once). Then another take of the whole piece (without click means slightly different tempo in places). Then another... Can the comping feature assemble the best pieces from each take like cut/splice a virtual multitrack tape? Or is this feature something more limited?

  • What do you think of the new Xbox One Elite Wireless Controler?

Some claim that it was the biggest news to come out of the Microsoft E3 conference! A pro gaming controller that's customizable? What do you know about it? Is it worth the $170 price tag?

The customization has been due for a long time. Having different thumbstick heights can make a big difference depending on what type of game your playing, and being able to tune the trigger and bumper sensitivity will be huge for gamers who play competitively (or seriously). The biggest chance for me is the paddles on the back. As a heavy NHL Player, it'll be nice to be able to map my buttons to the paddles so i can keep my thumbs on the thumbsticks 100% of the time.  $170 is steep. But when you look at how headphones come with variable ear pieces, it makes you realize that one size doesn't fit all and the extra price you pay goes somewhere.

  • What do you think of the new iPhone 5 connector to existing docks?

I have 100's of dollars of sound docks, alarm clocks, charging stations, etc. designed to accept the 30-pin connector. The adaptor offered by Apple for the new iPhone 5 8-pin connector does not appear to provide a satisfactory connection in terms of security, stability and appearance and would not allow the proper use of the phone while docked. Please urge Apple to provide a more suitable solution to this problem. I, for one, can not justify throwing out all my existing hardware and purchasing new hardware...I can't afford it.

I know it's annoying, but the plug was inevitably going to have to be updated at some point; the 30-pin plug is really dated technology now, with many redundant features, not to mention an enormous waste of phone real estate.
Also Apple is still far and away miles better at this than many other manufacturers, and you get the greatest choice of appliances too.
Some of their 'simplification'-oriented narrow-minded/minimum features necessary policies do irritate me though, such as deleting posts on here as you say, or the one that really gets me: only allowing one backup per device in iTunes, so as soon as you sync your phone, you're snookered. Getting round these limitations is always so cumbersome.
In your situation, I would personally have stuck with the iPhone 4S. Considering the software upgrade, the difference is not huge. Heck, even my iPhone 3GS has IOS6 now... Really surprised me when that came up in iTunes; I thought the rusty ancient thing had struggled enough and pushed to its limits with IOS5!

  • I need a new computer.  What do you think of the new Lion?

I need a new computer.  Should I go for the new LION?  21" ? I have had a Dell?

My guess is WZZZ and I don't agree on Lion. IMHO it's stable and a great OS. While it does have Launchpad as a feature which is very iPad like, Launchpad does not need to be used. I've been using Lion since it's inception and have found it to be simply the next evolution of OS X having migrated from Tiger to Leopard to Snow Leopard and now Lion.
If you need a new computer any new iMac would be a fine choice, which one is right for you would depend on how you intend to use the computer. WZZZ is spot on on the refurbs too, some 2010 models may still be available and some do come with Snow Leopard on it which you can update to Lion if you want. That update would be free as part of Apple's Lion - Up-to-date program.
Transitioning to OS X is pretty easy however to make that transition easier you may find these bookmarks useful.

  • What Do You Think About The New 1.2 Version Of iTunes

It isi interestinf for me, if only i think it *****, or maybe all users experiense problems with it.Also, Apparently there is a question to the apple progammers aren't they going to fix this bug update, or i will never ever update anything from them!Aren't they going to fix the froblem as fast as possible.
For me giving plenty of money for a machine close to luxury is enought to get a perfect servise.Plus I buy many features of apple sinse 2 months ago.And by the way, ***?U don;t do your joob!It is your job and you don't do it!

I think Apple has really screwed this UP! You are correct,
they should be posting a fix for the umpteen gillion of us who spent hundreds of dollars on their product and then they give us a crappy "upgrade" that renders the very expensive product USELESS!!! This is extremely frustrating. I should not have to be a rocket scientist
to use my **** mp3 player!

  • What do you think of the new look of CS6?

I teach both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements classes and this new format look to much like Elements.  It could be confusing for people working in both programs

Personally I'm quite fond of the dark appearance, as I find light text on a dark background MUCH easier to see and read.  Perhaps a lifetime of being a computer geek, coming from the ancient days when dumb ASCII terminals had light text on dark backgrounds, has done that to me.  I actually pre-date video terminals, but we won't get into my punch card history.
You can change it to be light-colored (just as in prior versions) using one of the boxes atop the Edit - Preferences - Interface dialog.

  • So will mirroring go back to normal with the new ios 6.1 that was just added?

I just updated my ipad 2 and iPhone 4
Will they've able to mirror to my tv like they did before when ios 5.1.1 was running, now that ios 6.1 instead ios 6.0.1

You should leave the current spelling of "in tack" intact.  There was nothing wrong with it.

  • What do you think about the html5?

I've been seeing developers philosophizing about the future, and I want to know what do you think about the brand new html5?
mainly because the html5 can take out of the market technology ( flex ).
    thanks for the opinion!!!
    [email protected]

Yep this is most definitely not just a rumor, I've found plenty of sources talking about this.
Here's someone's take on HTML5, a non-Adobe perspective, from a Silverlight developer.  I thought this would be interesting to mention.  Not sure I agree 100% with everything said (IE may not be most used browser and I don't believe in DRM), but it's an interesting read anyway:
Yes, you can do a LOT of stuff with HTML5 + JS that Silverlight is good for. But HTML5 will only reach Candidate Recommendation status in 2012 - if Silverlight keeps the current pace, it will be at V7 by then.
HTML5 will only get you approximately what Silverlight had at V1.0. A Canvas element, some video playback capabilites, and a Javascript programming model. Can you imagine how further advanced Silverlight 4 is at the moment?
Actually, scratch that - the video quality and availability of HTML5 is a lot worse than what Silverlight has to offer. There is no DRM, no Smooth Streaming, not even full screen! No GPU acceleration either. Even the codec HTML5 has to support is not standardized! This results in Firefox 3.6 having only Theora decoder, and Youtube experimenting with HTML in H.264 (on the same day FF3.6 launched), only playable in approx. 4-5% of the world's browsers.
Internet Explorer is still the most widely used browser on the web, and does not have HTML5. Currently, there are more Silverlight capable browsers browsing the web than HTML5 compatible ones. I don't think that in the next 3 years you will be able to create an HTML5 app and hope that at least 50% of the world's population can view it without switching browsers. (and remember: installing a plugin is a lot less hassle than switching to a new browser!)
HTML5 will not be truly cross-browser standard for quite a long time, if ever. There are too many things that the browser developer can do as they wish - just think about the aforementioned video codec issue. There are too many little differences in each browser's Javascript implementation to make it really portable.
The developer story: nothing in the HTML + JS world comes close to the awesome Visual Studio and Expression Blend tools. Javascript is cool for small apps, but cannot hold a candle to C# when it comes to serious development. Fighting with browser and OS incompatilities takes up a huge amount of time for any HTML website or web app - with Silverlight you don't have this.
Just compare what the best HTML / Ajax company in the world (Google) did with maps, and what MS did to see the difference. Go tohttp://maps.google.com/ (watch out - the Streetview part is in Flash, not Ajax), and compare it to http://www.bing.com/maps/explore/. That is the difference I am talking about.
Of course he means (or should have meant) Flex/Flash rather than just Flash.  As for the GWT and other AJAX fanboys who I guess think browser compatibility problems are going to be a thing of the past (or won't be a drag on corporate bottom lines - haha), it makes you wonder what other wild fantasies they're envisioning for the future.  Next they'll come and tell us XML-based protocols are going to be as fast as AMF...

  • What do you think of the latest update to iTunes?

What do you think of the latest update to iTunes? I don't like it.

I agree. I've used iTunes since iTunes 9.0. The new 11.0 update is horrible. With the now missing left side menu, it's very difficult to navigate. You don't know where you are or where to go. I delete everything Apple from my computer, and inverted back to iTunes 10.7.
