What does a cabinet look like?

Hey everyone this may seem like a silly question but I need to get it off my chest.
By What I understand there are 3 cabinets in my estate, 2 of which are now bt infinity enabled and the one I am on which is not. About a month ago one was done and I noticed a big BT INFINITY sign on the front, a few weeks ago another was done and the same was on that. Thinking I was next my cabinet was only painted black for some reason and looks completely different to the newer cabinets. After the 2 cabinets were done I received a letter stating I can now get bt infinity and yet the checker says no.... I'm not ever sure What a old and new cabinet looks like so any info or even better, a picture would be helpful

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP G61-336NR Notebook and BIOS concerns. The BIOS is responsible for loading the operating system. Without it your computer will not work as it checks the hardware and then loads the operating system. Here is a link From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia explaining the BIOS.

What does the display look like with 'My Movies'?

I'm thinking about buying an Apple TV, not to rent movies but to stream all of my own videos to a seperate tv. I'm already doing this with my Xbox 360 with H.264 video but before people watch it they have no idea what the video is about because apart from the brief information i can give in the title, their isn't any picture, comments etc. So i was wondering if the Apple TV has any of these features for the 'My Movies' section:
-Cover Flow/Browse by Cover
-Playlists (eg. Recently Added, My Top Rated)
-Title
-Year
-Rating
-Genre
-Comments
-Actors
-Anything else
Also i was wondering if you can use the search feature for 'My Movies' rather than just rented movies?

Currently you can't use search for My Movies or My whatever, it only works in the Store. Might change, might not. Apple's business model seems to be pushing towards rentals/purchases whereas originally it was a media extender for your own or Apple purchased content before all rentals became available earlier this year in the US and last week in the UK.
They have added genres for My Movies so if you tag a movie as horror, sci-fi, drama, family holidays, westerns etc it should show as a genre.
On Mac there's a great tagger called MetaX (might be worth a look as there's a video there showing some of teh tags that can be applied) - I would not be surprised if there's something similar on the PC.

One last thing, although you've encoded your video as h264 and it plays on Xbox it will not necessarily play on AppleTV unless if fits the specs for playback found here:

Not trying to put you off, but that could be an issue for you.
In the same way some things I've encoded for AppleTV don't work on my PS3.

Everybody needs to document better.
Every office, production facility, and business seems to have its own ideas about what's best for network documentation.
For our documentation we have an internal Wiki. Its nice because it tracks changes, provides version numbers, and has a simple interface.
From Googledocs, Whiteboards, and Notebooks to Voice Recorders, Text Files, and Thumbdrives how do you document your network?

What does cloud app look like

I want to backup contacts in the Verizon cloud. I checked My Verizon, and I have the cloud, but I can't find an application labeled cloud on my interface.

Do yourself a huge favor and do NOT back up your contacts to Verizon Cloud. You will encounter nothing but trouble going forward if you do. Use Google to back up your contacts. It is very simple. Make sure all of your contacts are set to Google Contacts, Make sure You are signed into Google (only need to do this once) and your contacts will automatically back up to google. They will be Accurate, it is simple and they will always be available to you.
Verizon Cloud will arbitrarily move your contacts to the Trash Can and they will disappear from your phone, It will jumble numbers, move addresses to different contacts and when you need to reinstall them on a phone it will give you tons of trouble.

Tried a number of "fixes" from blogs. No joy. Deleted all my adobe apps, rebooted, and Creative Cloud says it needs to reload. Went through that process, and it quit near the end, saying it needed to reload and directed me back to same Adobe site. Hmm. Round and round we go. How do I get off of this loop and get my Adobe Lightroom and PS working fine again? Whole episode started after loading CC and then PS said it didn't have Camera Raw. Went and downloaded that, wouldn't load and said I needed Adobe Download Diagnostic (or something like that) went to suggested link, whereupon it tells me it is no loger available.
Looking forward to cleaning everything off and starting over!! Any input gratefully accepted and I will NOT be trying CC again. I am sure it is just fine, just not for me, now.

On my G5 mac at work, I am getting - don't know what to call it - looks like extraneous matrix type code around prompt windows and in applications. Sometimes I will get large shapes of colors, yellows, magentas, cyans. Anyone else experience this?

I will attach a recent screen shot of a print window I opened and the extra code is above and below the window. There are matrix type blocks of code and then lines under the window. I get this all the time and it is getting worse.
Any help to get rid of it would be appreciated.

It's likely the Video card, or possibly heat.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac.

How can you see what the actual fonts look like in menu?

In WORD - when you go to the menu bar to see the fonts, you'll see maybe a hundred of them - but you see them the list in the "actual" font style of each font! So in a few seconds you can actually "see" a hundred font types - makes it easy to quickly select which one you like.
I can't seem to do this in FCPro 5.04. I must click each font from the menu bar - type a word and THEN I see what it looks like. VERY TIME CONSUMING if you don't know your fonts!
Isn't there a way in FCPro se see all the fonts in a list in the actual "style" of each font - like WORD does? There's a haxie called "Fontcard" that does exactly this - but not in FCPro!
Can anybody do this - or I'm dreaming here - just keep checking them out 1 font at a time!!

If you're not in too big a hurry when using Title 3D, you can scroll through the font list. As you go from one font to another, the characters you have highlighted will show in that font. Other than that, I use FontBook to preview fonts quickly.

We are looking to upgrade to SharePoint 2013, and are concerned about the Meeting Workspaces. I understand that they need to be operated in 2010 mode, how does this work? Do we need to switch from 2013 to 2010 and then back again, based on
what site/subsite we are on? What does this look like? How can we fix this, is there a way to change the existing meeting workspaces to team sites instead? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pages symbol what is it? looks like lollipop vertical line with dot on end?

trying to migrate from old pages in I work to new. totally lost. see a symbol in my document looks like a vertical line - with dot at top. is one line tall. can't make it go away.
What is it? What does it do? Had some shapes in the document - until I found what I really wanted - text boxes. had devil of a time getting rid of shapes, still can't get rid of mystery lollipop.

You seem to be supplying all your own answers, why not ask yourself?
If they have an anchor their object placement is:
Format > Arrange > Object Placement > Move with Text
Change it to:
Stay on Page
Which is the equivalent of the old Floating.

Why does my cmus look like this?

It's in a screen session on Leopards terminal. It didn't do this before and I haven't updated anything and I'm confused. If I go to the cmus window, the rest of the screen windows look like that too and when I detach the term looks like that.

if I just ssh then do screen it doesn't

Supposed to be plain old english. Leopard terminal says it does UTF-8, but I'm pretty sure I removed all the foreign languages.
The weird part now is that it only does it when I put screen in my ssh command. Let me bold that part. I can live with hitting up arrow every time I login from this computer.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only Guest login created by Find My Mac.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The Guest login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.
