What does a website design/seo firm look like?

HI to all,
I am a website designer and partime seo / sem in Australia.
Currently I am working from home and thinking of moving into
an office soon.
I was just wondering if anyone can give me feedback on where
you work from.
Do you work from home?
Do you work from an office?
Advantage / dissadvanges from one or the other.
If business seems to be going well from home should I spend
the extra $ to move into an office and hopefuly improve on the
business image.
Also I have hnever been into website designers or seo office,
what's there? Chairs, Desk & Computers, or is it set up like a
retail store?
Do your customers come to visit you? or do you visit them?
Any comments or feedback is greatly appreciated.

mean "someone who

definition: "The process of

We're going to have to disagree on the definition of
manufacture.
There are more meanings to the word. In its simplest form, it
merely
means to make.
Dictionary.com:
2. the making or producing of anything; generation
5. to work up (material) into form for use
American Heritage Dictionary:
1. a. To make or process (a raw material) into a finished
product,
especially by means of a large-scale industrial operation.
2. To create, produce, or turn out in a mechanical manner
Online Etymology Dictionary:
something made by hand
WordNet:
1. the organized action of making of goods and services for
sale
Kenerman English Multilingual Dictionary:
to make, originally by hand but now usually by machinery and
in large
quantities
My point is that there ARE firms who are absolutely mass
producing
websites. These are the folks who offer the "one from column
A, one
from column B" sites, sometimes Flash and sometimes HTML.
Minimal
labour, minimal customization - and these sites are most
definitely
marketed and priced as commodities.
It all comes down to what the business does and how it is
marketed. Do
you make and sell a product: a website? Or do you sell a
service?
My company sells a service. From all appearances, yours sells
websites.
Not sure how we got on this track from what the office looks
like.

  • What does the straight talk iphone 4 look like when you turn it on

i was wondering what the Apple Iphone 4 for straight talk looks like when turning it on and off. LIke does it say straight talk?

The only thing the iPhone displays regarding the carrier is the carrier name in the status bar near the signal on the left side. The iPhone does not display anything but the Apple logo when powering up.

  • What does the new mac mini really look like? raised or not?

looking at the images on the mac mini page http://www.apple.com/macmini/ it clearly shows the mini with it's front edge resting on the ground in all the images from the front. the reflections touch. but when you follow the 'Design' link it shows that the new mini is resting on a raised foot, so it floats.
i'm pretty sure the floating version is the real version, but why the inconsistency?

it's not an optical illusion. it's just wrong in the images. i agree with the people who made the illustrations, it looks better when it's flat on the ground and not floating.
    http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/16/mac-mini-mid-2010-teardown-photos/
that gives you a better idea of what the new mac mini looks like from the front in a similar angle to the images on apples site. notice the very large gap between the reflection and the front face of the mini. also notice the large black shadow caused by the mini being raised up on the black circular foot on it's base. There isn't an angle that you you can move the camera to that would eliminate the shadow or distance between the reflection and the case and still see the front face as you do in the images.
it's just an odd inconsistency that misrepresents what the final product looks like.

  • What does the S10e's serial number look like

I just had the most frustrating time calling Lenovo service about my new IdeaPad S10e.
They tell me the serial number is not that of an IdeaPad but a Thinkpad.
I checked the S/N on the shipping box and on the bottom of the IdeaPad and they
    match.
The model is an: 4187-39U I pruchased it from Provantage.com but the same
model is sold at Buy.com and other eTailers.
My serial number looks like this:
    L#ACW#H   (where # are numbers)
It's 7 characters long. I also check the BIOS and that matches too.
    Lenovo says IdeaPad's have 10 character S/N's.
So at this point nobody will talk to me about a service question.
I just want to know if I have a HD failure the recovery partition is
useless so how do a get an OS on the replacement HD.
God forbid that should ever happen.

If your iPod keeps on showing it and you can't control it and make it go away then ye. But don't worry it happened to me just restore it or upgrade it sometimes putting it into dfu mode helps or connecting it to the computer

  • What does the Isight from the G5 look like

Now that I see that what is inside the external Isight can won't work - how small is the Isight that is built in to the G5? Do you suppose Apple farms out the manufacturing for that item and if so, who would be the manufacturer? As I mentioned before, we need a very small video and the isight would be perfect.
Thanks in advance - it was great getting such speedy response to my last question.
    Ibook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Hello again, Charlie.how small is the Isight that is built in to the G5?I have not found this answer yet, but my GUESS is that it is the same one that is built into the top lid (Display/Cover) of the MacBook Pro. That make it small, but not as miniscule as the camera in Ian's "this" link in your previous thread.Do you suppose Apple farms out the manufacturing for that item and if so, who would be the manufacturer?I cannot find any place where Apple publishes information on specific suppliers or "build versus buy" decisions. Neither have I seen anything that tells whether the same built-in iSight camera is used in MacBook Pro and iMac. These are all likely closely held, business sensitive, company proprietary information. As I mentioned before, we need a very small video and the isight would be perfect. If iSight is perfect, use that.
If you want an iSight in a portable Mac, the one in MacBook Pro is the only one currently available, but Steve Jobs has announced that more are in the works.
If you want some other video camera, Google can be your friend. You may want to modify the search terms for what is important in your intended application.

  • IPhone email - what is the icon (grayed location) that looks like a storage box do?

Phone email - what is the icon  (grayed location) that looks like a storage box do?  It is on the bottom of the screen when you open a message...it is where the trash can would be?
We put a message in there by mistake and have no idea where it went or how to retrieve it.
    Thanks,

The Icon meas your display orientation is locked to vertical so it wont change when you turn the phone sideways.
First thing you should check with the battery life is multitasking, which also happens to be where the orientation lock can be turned off.  check out   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211 and go from there

  • Is this what my printer utility is suppose to look like?

I this what my printer utility is suppose to look like? With the printer having a red ex over it? screen shot :
    http://s558.photobucket.com/albums/ss21/jamient/?action=view&current=Picture1.pn g

I haven't used Lexmark printers/utilities but I would say the answer is no, it shouldn't have the red cross through the print icon. However I notice that next to the icon is a drop-down menu, which has a title of Print Name. Since there is no printer showing in this menu, I would guess that this could be the cause of the red x.

  • SOAP RECEIVER and WSDL-what specifies how my SOAP REQUEST should look like?

    Hi
I am sending a request to a webservice (SOAP RECEIVER) but the webservice in question does not have a wsdl. I have created my own wsdl based on another example but when mapping to the REQUEST part of this and routing it through my SOAP RECEIVER channel it appears that it has NO SOAP-ENV only the pure XML in the request sent to the webservice.
I have UNTICKED the "No SOAP envelope.." so all is pretty basic.
What specifies how the REQUEST sent to the webservice through the SOAP RECEIVER comm channel should look like?
I thought that the SOAP RECEIVER ADAPTER did this automatically, but in my scenariao, it looks as if it something else as well? Is it the XSD or WSDL that dictates how the SOAP REQUEST should look like?
    Cheers

    > I thought that the SOAP RECEIVER ADAPTER did this automatically, but in my scenariao, it looks as if it something else as well? Is it the XSD or WSDL that dictates how the SOAP REQUEST should look like?
No. The SOAP adapter adds the SOAP enveloped, no matter how the WSDL looks like.
I have no idea why this does not work for you. Check whether the channel is active and the cache is refreshed.

  • URGENT. Please tell me what the inside of a G3 should look like

Hello, I just received an iMac G3 (600mhz) in the mail. Something happened to it which it causing a weird high pitched sound upon startup. It won't continue into the logon screen. I will be opening this G3 up in a few hours. Please tell me what the insides should look like -- what the pheriphials should be like, and connected to -- whatever else is relavant, such as the logic board. What should everything look like? I might need to fix something. I'm stressed and don't have time for questions. Please tell me what I should inspect. Thanks!

You may search online to see if anyone formerly in the service business has older .pdf manuals for sale, maybe along with any older parts or vintage tools. That's a long shot. A local user group of vintage computer owners may also have some leads. A few with libraries of older tech database may have pdfs on DVDs.

    I liked my old iMac G3 400DV.

I'm not sure what it means, but it's been bothering me because it always up there and i have no idea why it's on the left side of the battery and it looks like a phone faced down with 7 dots... 4 dots on the first row then 3 dots underneath that, this is all underneath the phone.

I have bought a brand spanking new iMac 2013 with a fusion drive. I had a bit of a glitch with the set up of boot camp. I have taken it to the apple service centre and they reformated the drive. But I am no expert but it seem as though the computer is really slow, even slower than my 2009 iMac. can any one tell me what the fusion drive should look like in the disc utility? It appears as two seperate drives!? is this right? Can some one please help me?

  • How does a .ALI file have to look like in a merged project (RH9)

In RH5 (X5) the central .ali file of a merged project contained the enumeration of the #included .ali files of the sub-projects.
Now how does this file have to look like in a merged RH9 project? Given that all files (or most) are XML-files now it seems that the simple enumeration by #include doesn't work any longer.

    The PDF file itself.
For example, we sell eDocuments in PDF format, we have Acrobat Pro, I make a revision and that revision on my server can push a notification next time they open the eDocument that there's a update available.  Much like many software programs can do, except this is a distributed PDF document that can look for updates inside Acrobat Reader for the end user.
Essentially we're trying to find a better way for people to get revisions of purchased PDF files as they become available.
    Thanks for your time.
