What does acrobat point to ... any acrobat 9 specialist??????

Hi,
I can not reinstall either acrobat 8 pro or acrobat 9 pro because the insallation stalls when it point s to some indicator within office 2007
I have completely uninstalled all the adobe programs from my system and cleaned all the references within the registry and anywhere else but it consistently says
setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. setup will now terminate.
press ok
and finish ...... no alternative!!!!
I have done a search on several forums and it seems to be a reaccuring problem both with people who have a legitimate copy and those that have copies from elsewhere ...... I have a legitimate copy with serial number ...but you never get that far ...
Is there any answer to this either from a ADOBE employee or a ADOBE expert ...often the expert knows more ...but we will see.
I even contimplated offering a reward for a solution I mean otherwise I have wasted my money anyway.
Hopefully there are some clever helpful souls who can provide a fix.

I suggest that you completely un-install the Acrobat completely (if u need to surrender the key for the time being then do it) then try to install may be some already installed file of acrobat or the file which are asociated b/w office 2007 and acrobat might be corrupt. or try reparing the office installation once again

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:

What does different filter order,signal processing specialist please help

I'm trying to filter out the high frequency noise(>2000hz), so I use a lowpass filter(butterworth filter) and set the frequency to be 2000 hz, but i noticed that when i use different order of filters, i got different results.
i have tried order=20,40,80,200, what on earth does the filter order mean?? how does it inflence my filtered result? any singal processing expert here?

An ideal lowpass filter will let all the frequencies under the cutoff frequency (2KHz in your case) pass without any change and filt out those greater than the cutoff frequency totally. Theoretically, when the order is infinte, you'll get an ideal lowpass filter. However, infinte order is not practical. Firstly, you do not have all the history data of the signal (since minor infinte). Secondly, the computing is impossible for infinte filter length. So when the order is a finite value, the lowpass filter is an approximation to the ideal filter. That means the frequencies under cutoff frequency are not passed exactly and the frequencies greater than the cutoff frequency are not really removed totally. The greater the order, the more the filter close to the
ideal one and the more computations. This is the reason why you got different result when using different order. But it is not necessary to have filter with so high order you tried. Typically an order less than 10 will work well.

What other options are available if your iphone is lost/stolen but it registers as "offline" on find my iphone location services? I imagine if I suspend the services, this eliminates the "find my iphone" features. Feel at a loss here. Anybody have any other information to share on this topic? Thanks.

Please uninstall Dreamweaver and try Adobe Cleaner tool.Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Once it is done, please try installing again. This should fix the issue.

I have an iMac (2007 Intel 20") that will not boot up past the apple logo and spinning wheel!? I was able to get into the system utilities and run a verify and repair that says it fixed the errors but still no further!!? Mende1's reply way well be right but it's always good practice to Google an error code (Mac error xxxxx) as now that the 'More like this' section appears to be lost, the number of different replies (mainly taken from old Apple Support columns) will increase your options. DDE stands for Dynamic Data Exchange, and it is a way for two programs to communicate with each other. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms648711(v=vs.85).aspx
Adobe Reader, or (Acrobat Standard/Pro) would be an example of a DDE server, in that when they are open they can accept unsolicited communication from client programs.
One client could be the fast launch utility.
Because the DDE server is local to your machine, only a server name needs to be decided upon. For instance prior to version 10 Adobe always used 'Acroview' as it's DDE Server Name. For some reason, Adobe claims 'security', They decided to change the DDE Server name for version 10 to AcroviewR10 for reader, and AcroviewA10 for Acrobat.
Because there was decades of old code which had never needed to change many programs stopped working, and began claiming that they couldn't connect to Acrobat.
Adobe, rightly, claimed that it was a bad practice to hard code the DDE Server name into your code, and that a better practice is to get the value from the Registry.
That would have been helpful but Adobe seems incapable of remembering to update this registry key when upgrading their software, even though they update the setting in their software.
For instance right now Adobe is setting the DDE Server name in the registry to AcroviewR10 for Reader 11. What is worse is that their software only responds to AcroviewR11.
So if you hardcode the server name, or create a function to determine what it should be, than you might be ok, but if you accept their good coding practices your applications will fail to work as expected, and your clients will think it is your fault.

What is the latest version of acrobat.exe file? I use CS3 and about 10 days ago updated Acrobat Pro to 8.1.4. The acrobat.exe file itself shows as 8.1.0.137, while Secunia PSI sees it as 8.1.3.187. PSI claims the latter is not current and thus is insecure. Before I go claiming on PSI's forum that it's mislabeling acobat.exe as insecure - and it wouldn't be the first time - I wanted to verify what the current file version should be. Thanks,

Well yes, the parts/versions was the point of my post. I explicitly referred to them and to the fact that I had installed 8.1.4.
The issue has turned moot for now. PSI has admitted an error on their end, which will be fixed soon. "The problem is the updated file does not include the .exe file on which we normally use to detect the file version."

What's the printing difference in Acrobats 8 and 9 Pro?

I have a PDF, actually I have seen quite a number, that when sent to one of our Canon printers--4080i or 2550--from Acrobat 8 Pro will not print. Nothing comes out. (Actually 1 the printer shows that it received one page--the document had more than one page--but it does not print that page out. We can set Print as Image in the advanced dialog and the document prints. The same document sent from Acrobat 9 Pro does print.
Does Acrobat 9 have printing features that Acrobat 8 does not have? Will Acrobat 9 print the same document differently than Acrobat 8 will print it--Fonts, colors, resolution, etc.?
If anyone is going to tell me to preflight the PDF, Thank You. If you do, please give me specifics as to what settings to use so that the PDF can be printed from any version of acrobat, 7 or higher, to any type of printer.

No Answer yet. This makes we wonder if anyone out there has had documents that will print in Acrobat pro 9, that will not print in acrobat pro 8. If so is there a reason? If all else is equal, XP, Printer Canon 4080i, Printer drivers, etc. And the only difference is Acrobat 8/9. Then it seems to me that there is some difference in the way the different version of Acrobat send PDF's to the printer. Am I correct?
