I received the same message from Whatsapp to download the latest version on Friday. I tried 4 times. I kept getting stuck about 1000 kb into the download of 7000 kb. Something about the BIS....I contacted Whatsapp. They sent me instructions to go to the website you have suggested. I did. I still could not download the newest version. Whatsapp then told me to uninstall Whatsapp and they provided written instructions to me. I followed those instructions and then tried to re-install Whatsapp. I was unsuccessful. I then noticed on Saturday that my entire directory had been deleted.
Nothing left. As I use Google Chrome, I did not think I could back up my Directory and did not realize that Blackberry does not store data on my Sim Card. I went to my Service Provider's shop and they quickly uploaded Whatsapp from a different website, not the one suggested by Whatsapp. They could not however, find my Directory which has about 1,100 contacts. I then went to the Technical Service Center and while discussing with a technician, a woman came over and told me she overheard my conversation and that she was there for the same problem. Inability to download Whatsapp, followed by uninstalling of Whatsapp, and the disappearance of her Directory. Thus it would appear to be 2 problems....that Whatsapp is capable of pulling out one's entire Directory, and that BB is not capable of securing something like a Directory. Today, my Service Provider has told me they are not able to assist in finding my directory and that they don't keep it in their servers. They have suggested that I join this forum, which I have done as a first timer. Your thoughts?

What does Firefox Update change?

So I am trying to figure out a way to update Firefox without going around to each and every machine.
I have partially achieved this by copying over
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox from a machine with the current version to a machine with the old version and it seemed to work pretty well. Except. My inventory software is reading it still as the old version.
So where else does the update effect? I though it might be in the registry files someplace but I don't see it....

We also automatically check every extension installed on our site for things that might not work in new versions, and every extension that passes (the vast majority) are default to be compatible with the new version without the add-on author having to do anything.
Unless you have a third-party binary extension. These are commonly Anti-virus toolbars, etc. These extensions stop working with updates frequently. This is because these companies don't bother to read our notes of what's changing or to release updates for their software until after release.

I am using a SharedObject as highscore list in my Andoid/IOS game, and every time I deploy to a device the SO/highscore is deleted;
Will this allso happen if I make an update to my game in App Store/App market? and is there a way to avoid this?
Would incrementing version number help?

Yes. My flicker was most noticeable when i was using dashboard and had a white background for my desktop on any setting less than full brightness. After the update the problem is gone as I type this at a low brightness setting. I think the Nvidia card was not optimized for LED back lighting.

Trying to download and install updates to CS5. Everything looked normal, got the progress bars for downloading and installing the updates. Then at the very end received message that the update failed to install because there was an error downloading the update. This has happened repeatedly. Just completed a clean install of the OS (Win 8.1) and CS5. Appears the update manager created the required folders. A subfolder for each of the CS5 apps was created in the AAMupdater folder. Each of the apps had a subfolder, but contained only a XML file.

What does firmware update 7.1 fix?!?!

Specifically, does it fix the wake from sleep issue. It's been stated MANY times here some fix suggestion seem to work, others don't.
When my iMac wakes from sleep, Airport doesn't connect. I have to turn off Airport and then back on again for it to connect. I NEVER had this issue with my previous wireless router (NETGEAR).
So, does anyone know if this new firmware addresses this issue and what else it does?

I've always had this problem with Macs.
The solution for me is to go into System Preferences/Network and double-click Airport. Change 'By deafult, join' to show 'Preferred Networks' in the drop-down box, then click on + and find your network. Enter your WEP or WPA key and click 'Apply Now'. You should find that you will not have a prroblem auto-connecting after sleep mode.
You can add further networks as you need.
Aplogies if this has been posted before, it hasn't been an isue I've been following, just noticed it under the new firmware thread.

As noted, those are just the -security- fixes contained.
The bug fixes were not described.
I can verify they have worked on Bluetooth and Wi-fi compatibility. My car connected and dropped repeatedly with 1.0, not so with 1.0.1. My Wi-fi at work wouldn't accept my WEP key as ASCII, it now does after the upgrade.
It'd be nice if they'd publish a changelog but I suspect that it would be gigantic as they've had probably roughly 2 months to work on it since they went gold for production ramp-up.
