What Does "Configure Universal Access" in iTunes do?

What Does “Configure Universal Access” in iTunes do?

Configure universal access does in fact just bring you to settings like large text and voiceover designed to help the impaired
the fact your phone disapeered after hitting it was probably just an unrelated glitch in itunes. Unplug and replug your phone to get it to show up again

  • Configure Universal Access? what is it..

I have iPhone attached, and in lower portion of pane on computer from summary/options is button 'Configure Universal Access'.
    What is this?
I tried every search option in iTune help menu, and they don't bother listing it.
I'm not going to experiment with unknowns, thanks'
Also the iTunes welcome to Itunes page is up, and again nothing there in sync iPhone video.

This was not a Firefox update, but a piece of malicious software you have inadvertently downloaded from a site called http://ffftp.co.cc/ which is impersonating Firefox. I discovered this as soon as my Zonealarm requested permission for "Golds" to access the internet. Golds??!! However I couldn't find a file with this name installed on my computer.
You should delete the file you downloaded and certainly do not allow internet access to any suspicious program. If you have already given permission, scan your PC immediately for any virus, malware, etc. Best of luck.

  • What does the usb pointing to itunes symble mean. i have reset and it will not do anything but shoe that on the screen. I have it plugged in to itunes and its not doing anything?

What does the usb pointing to the itunes symble mean? its frozen on that screen, i plugged it in to itunes but its not doing anything

    Hello crysta33,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The screen with an iTunes logo and cord indicates the device is in recovery mode, and will need to be restored by using iTunes.  Take a look at the articles below for more information.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
    Take care,
    Alex H.

  • What does the "check mark" in iTunes beside the name of the song/artist signify?

In iTunes when "MUSIC" is selected, and the list of songs appears. Why are some songs checked and others not? What does the check mark signify or accomplish?

Tracks without a check mark are basically ignored by iTunes but left in the library.  Some people use it for deactivating seasonal (e.g., Christmas) music when they don't want it to play but still want it in their collection.  It also won't be synced.

  • What does the checkmark do, in iTunes?

I've been wondering for a quite a while now, what does the checkmark do next to the Track Title?

The check can be used for various things:
    1. When playing in random mode, unchecked songs do not play
    2. For the ipod, you have an option "sync only checked songs"
    3. Can be used in smart folders in the "Match only checked songs" option
    4. If you don't want to import tracks on a CD you can uncheck them and click import
I think there may be a couple of other things it can do too.
Tip: If you want to check/uncheck a whole album, select the album in browser and command-click any track - voila the entire album is unchecked/checked (note: you can select multiple albums by command or shift-clicking them in the browser window and use the same method, OR do it to entire genres or artists the same way - whatever is shown in the tracks part of the window will be checked/unchecked)

  • Does anyone know what does (err = -3259) means on itunes when dowloading a new software?, does anyone know what does (err = -3259) means on itunes when dowloading a new software?

please help me this keeps on coming up when i am trying to download or process a new software version to my iphone

In non-technical terms - it means iTunes asked for a file to be downloaded but it did not get a response and so it (iTunes) decided to stop asking. iTunes tells you err = 3259.
The reason this happens may be because the host computer where the file is stored is busy - too busy to respond. Or perhaps the internet is busy and although the host server responds, the response does not get to your iTunes quickly enough. Or perhaps your ISP is busy, or your internet link from your home is busy.
The solution is to try again, but if everyone else in your household is using the internet at the same time as you, it may fail again. If it's a busy time in your part of the world (Friday night after a week at work, or an important online event) which makes the internet busy... need I say more.
If trying again doesn't work, try again the next day.

  • My Ipod Touch is 3rd Gen, but itunes does not have the universal access button [itunes is up to date]

  • What does the ! mean in iTunes?

Until my last podcast, I was getting 400-500 downloads a podcast. Now all of a sudden it's seems to be sticking at 75. I'm #24 in iTunes for my category, so I'm super confused.
I did try to change where I was listed -- from arts/design to games and hobbies/hobbies, but changed it back.
Nothing has really changed about my show, I'm getting more feedback than ever, does anyone have an idea? When I look at my podcast there is a ! next to it, and I don't know what that means.... I'm hosted by Libsyn.
    Thanks!

In ITunes...Help...search, entering "exclamation point" has these results (actual topic is "Understanding symbols in ITunes"):
    exclamation point next to song
The song can't be located; it may have been moved or deleted
exclamation point next to Smart Playlist
One of the conditions is an unavailable playlist; click the exclamation point to choose another playlist or remove the unavailable one
    Hope this helps

  • What does "balance" mean on the iTunes store?  Is this money I owe, or money remaining on gift cards?

I have setup an iTunes account for my kid.  We redeemed some gift cards on iTunes store.  I don't have the account setup with a credit card because I don't want him to be able to buy things when the gift cards run out.  I got an email saying that some songs were purchased with the amount they cost.  Now I go to the iTunes store and login with my ID and it says my ID name, then "23.24".   Do I owe that amount, or is that what's left on the gift cards?

Thank you.  So what happens when the gift card balance is zero?  Can he still buy stuff and they will bill me for it?  Or can he just not buy anything?  Again, I didn't setup the ID with a credit card to prevent purchases after the gift card balance has been depleted.

  • What does the "other" tab in itunes mean?

yesterday i downloaded the new version of i tunes and had 10gb left on my i phone and in the "other" tab down the bottom it now says 3.18gb i dont know what type of files contributes to it can anyone help?

Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or ( in the case of an iPod that can be enabled for disk use, files that are on there if you are using an iPod as a removable storage device). If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPhone: Backing Up, updating, and restoring your iPhone and iPod touch software

  • What does error 42032 when downloading iTunes mean?

iDVD requires a fair amount of disk space to carry out the encoding process; depending on your project, you may need to have over 25 GB free space on your startup hard drive.  How much free space do you have?

  • What does the 'other' mean in iTunes?

I have a 16GB iPhone 4S and the 'other' takes up 7GB of my data, how can I get rid of it?!

    This indicates corrupt files.
    A restore should resolve
