What does cross application means ,Does BDC come under this

Hi,
wha tdoes cross application means ,Does BDC come under this

Hi,
Cross application means R/3 with other applications like JAVA, Microsoft Technologies etc. i.e. you can exchange data between R/3 & other application. No BDC doesn't come under this. You can use BAPI, IDOC & other RFC function modules.
Thanks,
Abhijit

What does the PopUp "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs" really mean and if I check the Box, how do I undo this if this was the Wrong Thing To Do?
    Details
Constantly, while using Firefox (Beta v 11.0), and/or ESPECIALLY, when I have my eMail @ Mail.com open, I get this PopUp stating: "For security reasons, restarting mail.com Mail is possible only via the mail.com Mail Service. Please close this window and restart mail.com Mail" BUT Then there is a CHECKBOX: "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs."
I have no idea if Checking this Box is a Good Idea or if it will Screw-Up my mail.com Mail Service...
Anyone have an answer or explanation of the Use of this Little Check-Box?

You do not get any pop-up windows on that website if you tick that box.
That setting is stored in the cache and you should see pop-ups again if you reload the page and bypass the cache.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
*Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.

My iphone plus is bending, what does Apple offer regarding this issue?
I am trying to get to contact with Apple Customer Care, but not clear to me how to do it beside this channel of communication. I bought the phone from kosovar carrier which is under Slovenian ownership. This means that the original warranty comes from Slovenia, bit complicated but still I would like to get an urgent answer how to proceed with this issue, thanks

Maybe i should have only asked if anyone is aware on apple's policy
regarding bending. I took the point that this seems not a proper forum to
pose Q's to apple thanks to both

  • What does black flashing under my mail on my dock mean?

There is a black flashing square under my mail icon on my dock. What does this mean?

Open AirPort Utility, the application that you used to configure the AirPort Express and click Manual Setup.
Click directly on the word "Status" (2nd line) and a window will open to tell you why the Express is complaining. What is the message?
It might be a notification that an update is available for your Express.

  • Keys getting dirty look--paint wearing off!  What does Apple do for this?

This is dismaying. I received a brand new MacBook Pro (early 2008 model) from Apple only a few months ago and the silver paint on several keys is already wearing off! They're getting that dirty look. See http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=451259
I went through something similar with an old iBook G4... On those, the keys' lettering wore off. Apple service was responsive for sure, although it was pretty silly that they kept sending me replacement keyboards Instead of individual keys or decals. After pushing by me, they even sprung for one of those iSkin plasticky keyboard covers (which turned out it interferes with typing and some say can cause a heat problem). Eventually, they sent me a 4th keyboard that didn't wear out at all. So, it seems that they fixed that issue.
Has Apple solved this paint wearing problem for the MBP's? Do I just go the Apple Care route--again-- and do they send out an entire keyboard? What have other people experience and done?
In this case, obviously, they can't send decals as this keyboard is the backlit (underlit) kind!

This is a known issue with the Early 2008 MBP (as well as earlier models). It has nothing to do with dirty hands, or lotions or hands or anything else. Just from plain old use, it wears down the paint on the keys.
The MBP keyboard keys are no longer removable one by one on that model and onward -- you have to bring your MBP into an Apple Store (or call Apple Care) - they will take it in, change it out for a new keyboard (its under warranty for one year, and if you have Apple Care for two additional years). If you are beyond the one year warranty and did not purchase Apple Care, then you will have to pay to have it replaced (probably a couple hundred dollars plus shipping).
The turnaround for something like that is usually about a week if you have to send it in, and a day if you go to the Apple Store. The Apple Store, after deeming it a repair issue, will order the keyboard. Then they will call you to bring in your MBP and leave it for the time it is required for them to fix it -- usually an afternoon, or overnight.
But this is a well-documented and much discussed issue over the years -- it occured to my old MBP as well. Luckily, I have three apple stores all within a half hour drive of me, so I don't worry about those sorts of things. But it's annoying if you have to send it it.

  • HT4889 What does the "com.apple.smig" keychain mean?

I am transferring information from my laptop to my new Mac 27, and I am using the migration assistant.  I'm connected by Ethernet cable.  After 3 hours to transfer 357 GB, I get a message on the Mac saying I should enter the "com.apple.smig" keychain.  I don't know what that is.  I tried my Apple account password as well as the password I had set up on my MacBook Pro.  Neither worked.  I'm back to waiting while the screen says "Transferring your Information"  Less than a minute.  It has been almost an hour.
    Any ideas?

Not sure why the transfer is so slow and locking up on you, but the com.apple.smig prompts are related to this  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1631?v...S&locale=en_US#
summary from the above link: "If you change your account's password using your Mac OS X Install disc (or if your network-based account password is changed due to a network admin forcing a password change), your default keychain password (which uses the same initial password as your user account) does not change. Because of this, you will be prompted to enter a keychain password each time an application requires authentication that your keychain would normally provide."
I think what's happening is that you're being prompted for keychain authentication several times. You've possibly typed in a correct password, the mac does more work, then it prompts you again.
Steps on in the apple support link above can correct this.

  • What does BDC Session part mean

    Hi all,
As you know, when generating BDC program using t-code SHDB,we got two ways to re-execute the certain transaction, which are 'CALL TRANSACTION ... USING bdcdata' and 'CALL FUNCTION 'BDC_INSERT'' .
I just know how to use the previous one, so could you tell me the meaning of the latter one,how to use it?
    Tks

    Hi Alex,
There are lots of threads for your same query please do spend some time to search yourself you will get lots of post for your paot.

Load BDC as a transaction in BDC session
    call function 'BDC_INSERT'
    exporting
    tcode = v_tcode
    tables
    dynprotab = itab_bdc_tab
    exceptions
    internal_error = 01

  • What does apple cover under their one year worrenty

I'm just wondering what they cover from their 1 year warranty u get after u buy it, do they cover broken screens, also do u get a new one when u take it in or is it a refurbished iPod with their warranty?

Like most any warranty on most any product, they cover manufacturer defect.
    Damage is not covered.
You can get new or refurbed as a replacement - you do not get a choice.

  • Apple says not to carry your iphone near your body, but how are you supposed to carry it? What does everyone think about this?

Just curious, I don't see much about this topic, but apparently the radiation levels of this phone are very high. I bet most people carry their phones in their pockets, yet no one is asking about the fact that apple says not to.  Is this practical? Is this something to be concerned about? I don't care about a phone bending vs. my health being seriously affected.

I Suspect they are just covering their butts for possible future lawsuits. There are reports that some women who carry their (smaller) cell phones in their bra go on to develop breast rumors directly adjacent to where the phone usually sat. There are also studies that find nerve cell stimulation in the brain directly adjacent to the ear where a phone is being used. Three companies have now developed machines designed to use this effect to treat depression. There is much that is unknown about the effects of RF radiation, so phone companies logically want to avoid liability. No one really knows the risks.
