What does .ECS file do in a B2B configuration?

What is .ecs file for?
1)Validation of incoming data?
or
2)Creation of required wiremessage? (EDI, positional flat file etc)
or
3)Both
4)Something else
Thanks in Advance
Don Pauly

Hello Don,
No. It is ecs which is used for validation. XSD is used for back-end integration. In case of xml documents like ebMS, RNIF and custom xml (where no ecs is required), XSD is used for validation but in case of native documents where ecs is required, there ecs is used for both validation and translation.

  • HT3964 What does a file folder with a question mark that appears upon startup?

What does a file folder with a question mark which appears on startup mean??

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
With 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7 or 10.8 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

  • What does a file folder with a question mark in it mean when the computer won't start?

What does a file folder with a question mark in it mean when the computer won't start?

There are four general causes of this issue:
    1. The computer's PRAM no longer contains a valid startup disk setting when there aren't any problems with the disk itself. This can be checked for by pressing the Option key and seeing if the drive appears.
    2. The internal drive's directory structure has become damaged. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to perform the repair.
    3. Critical system files have been deleted. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to reinstall them.
    4. The internal drive has died or become unplugged. This is the most likely case if the computer took a sharp impact or there are unusual sounds coming from the hard drive's location.

What does unreadable file and unrecognizable format mean in my iphoto 11?

A number of people have reported issues with some models of Kodak cameras and iPhoto. Reformatting the card with the camera usually solves the issue. Make sure you have the photos off the card first (Image Capture - in your Applications Folder - may help with that) as reformatting will erase the card.

  • What does the file ociw32.dll in Oracle 9i do?

The first time I installed Oracle 9i on my Windows 2000 Professional, Pentium 4 machine the installation failed after it unsuccessfully tried to copy the same file several times. I have been successful in trying to remove all of the Oracle files that were installed by this failed attempt.
I have been successful except for the file "C:/oracle/ora92/bin/ociw32.dll"
When I try to delete this file using explorer I get the error message, "Access is denied, Source file may be in use. When I go to the DOS command line I get the error message, "Access denied"
Can anyone tell me what the ociw32.dll file is used for and what other process or program may be using this file? In more general terms, is there a reference source on the web that can tell me what the various files in Oracle 9i are used for?
Can anyone tell me how to delete this file? Do I also have to delete some of the Java applications that were installed as part of the Oracle 9i installation?
    Thanks,
    Jack ([email protected])

You'll need to also make sure that your path statement does not point to the Oracle directory and if you do not have any other Oracle software installed remove the Oracle key from the registry. Reboot. Then delete it.

  • What does modified file mean? and other Final Cut Library questions...

1.After updating to Libraries and the newest version of Final Cut X some of my media including multi cam clips and regualr clips show the red "modified media" screen. How do I get rid of this and get it back to the original media? Do I relink project files??
    2. Before I updated to Libraries I was running all my media as proxy. Now that I have updated, I have to run it as optimized or origional or a red "Missing Proxy" screen appear. How can I go back to using proxy media?
    3. Before I updated to the Libraries and the newest version of Final Cut X I would store my raw footage on external harddrive 1 and I would create all my projects under harddrive 2. I was told that its much better to do it this way because it puts less strain on external harddrives. Is this true? Also, if I choose to keep doing it this way, how would I do this with the new Libraries set up?
4-Whats the best way to backup Libraries on multiple harddrives in case a harddrive fails? I used to be able to back up just the projects but now when I try to back up a Library it's too many gigs.
    Any advice would be great.

I upgraded to 10.0.1 in the middle of a complex multicam (6 Sony XDCam 422 HD @ 50 MB/Sec) with many effect/title/transitions w/o any issues - so I keep wondering -- what's happening with others?
Yes, relink to original (if needed) transcode more proxies/optimised (if needed).  Inside of your libraries (control click in finder) you should be able to see all that is there in the package contents - but don't alter anything in the Finder.
Since I upgraded, I routinely generate masters ofo my daily Projects in PorRes and copy to my Lacie Raid. I copy the new (daily) library(s) to the Lacie then delete the ones from the previous day (this Takes time as I secure delete) - i update the Final Cut Pro Backups folder to the lacie every day. Once a week I use Carbon Copy Cloner to backup whatever has changed (and archive what is unique to the b/u drive) via a USB 3 drive.
The Libraies are getting huge but I prefer working off my internal Flash storage because it is so fast.  I never used to do that - I preached putting "scrtach" on a drive seperate from OS but now my internal is so big and fast & since it is PCIe Flash & doesn't write like platters- I'm in love with the speed of renders and exports. I work from it.
That is what I do & haven't had a hiccup.  Theonly surprise is that System Pal has twice shown me that I was down to only a few megs of ram (from 16 gigs). So I watch that.
    Good luck

  • What does a file name like NYC14_(1008_of_88).cr2 mean?

NYC14 is my renaming convention.  Naturally, it's followed by (1009 of 88) etc.

No. you can select the photos you want to rename and then use the Library/Rename menu option to rename your photos. This will open a rename dialog box that will allow you to select the naming scheme you want but take care in your choice. Suggest you start with one or two to make sure you are getting what you want before doing the bulk renaming. It is easy to create a mess and/or duplicate file names if you are not careful.

It means you have some corrupted files in your (Program files),
easiest way to fix this is downloading iTunes again, and re-install it.

  • What does a file icon with a question mark indicate?

folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.

  • What does the file use?

When we open a repository stencil, let's say "Material", after unzip we can see other 3 zip files, respectively named XSD.zip, ImportMaps.zip, ExportMaps.zip and MDM Lookup Tables.xml as well as 55310_Material.a2a.
The question is the meaning of each file and the which kind of fuction will  be carried out through these files?

    Hi Alfred,
    Answers for your questions...
    1) If we unarchive a repository based on stencil e.g. Material, after unarchving successfully, the only thing that we can see is a null folder, under the directory of Sever/Accelerators/SQL name. In contrast, when a repository creation, after that we can see a lot of files automatically generated by system. Why?
When we create/ unarchive a repository the MDM creates two databases in the database server. The files that created automatically are used to accelerate the data transaction between MDM and database. Not sure.
    2) After one repository creation, system automatically creates two null folder named Inbound and Outbound under Server/Distributions/SQL name/Repository name/. Why?
When you add a port of type inbound or Outbound in the Repository->Admin->Ports table MDM creates a folder with the “port name” under …Server/Distributions/SQL name/Repository name/.
Under the folder “Port Name” it will create folders for Inbound and Outbound ports.
MDM picks source data comes from source system in the form of xml and puts data which need to be sent to destination system.
If we want to automate the import and syndication action from client systems, we go for import server and syndication server.
During import action the source system puts the data into the Server/Distributions/SQL name/Repository name/Inbound/Ready folder. Syndication server uses outbound port.
    3) Let's say, now we use the standard stencil provided by SAP, but if we want to create own customer-specific stencil, so, in this case how to make these kind of files like xsd, import map, export map,... within one package just like SAP provided us.
It is not necessary to have all the content in a single package.
SAP provides the business contents which are applicable to most of the business environment.
If you want to define customer specific business content, then you have to create all by your own including maps, schema files.
    Thanks,
