  • FI-AA Depreciation  Run :what does I need to run depreciation (AFAB trans.)

I don´t know what I need to run depreciation, I have create a fixed asset, and I have done a posting f-90 , and afterwards I want to execute depreciation but I cannot ¿what does I need to do this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Olga.

    Hi,
First of all before running depreciation you need to give the required GL accounts needed for posting the depreciation to the GL accounts in T.Code AO90.
Then after doing the required configurations u can run a depreciation run only in the month end or in the next month for the previous month.
If u had posted transactions to an asset using F-90 say suppose in october, u can do the depreciation in the month of october or in the coming month.
    hope it is clear.
    regards

  • If my wife wants to buy an ipad II what does she need to do shopping for hours at a time on the internet while driving

My wife wants to do internet searches and shop for hours on end while I'm driving.  What does she need if we get an Ipad 2?
Some people here at the office say I need Wi-Fi.  Some say 3G.  Some say I need to sign up with a carrier on some type of monthly plan to get the internet.
    Help!!
I need this while we drive from state to state and not for getting on the internet through some hotel Wi-Fi Connection.
    Thanks,
    BaylinerKing

3G coverage and overall performance between Verizon and AT&T varies depending on where you are, and depending on where you are you may have no 3G service at all with any carrier.
The other consideration is the price-points of various data plans, they differ between size and cost.
But all plans are month-to-month, meaning that you can turn the service off anytime you want, and for as long as you want, but when you activate 3G service you pay for 30 days of service regardless if you turn 3G off (so turn it off on the 29th day if you won't need 3G next month).  You can do all of this right from the iPad, and you don't have to set anything up at the time of purchase (other than choose your carrier).  I bought a Verizon 3G iPad 6 weeks ago and have not yet activated 3G, but will do so soon while travelling.

You need to code your web site to recognize the mobile browser and send a page that's actually usable when it does.

After an update to firefox I keep getting a warning from my Firewall (McAfee) "Program wants internet access". I have permission set at outgoing for firefox and updates checking off, to check that request is valid so what does it need access for

This was not a Firefox update, but a piece of malicious software you have inadvertently downloaded from a site called http://ffftp.co.cc/ which is impersonating Firefox. I discovered this as soon as my Zonealarm requested permission for "Golds" to access the internet. Golds??!! However I couldn't find a file with this name installed on my computer.
You should delete the file you downloaded and certainly do not allow internet access to any suspicious program. If you have already given permission, scan your PC immediately for any virus, malware, etc. Best of luck.

  • What do I need to run Windows on a Mac and Word for Windows?

I have a Mac OS X Lion and would like to run Windows programs which are only programmed to run on Windows.  What do I need so that I can run Windows and Microsoft Word.

"I have a Mac OS X Lion and would like to run Windows programs which are only programmed to run on Windows."
Your best bet is to use VirtualBox to provide a virtual machine capability allowing the installation of a guest OS like windows. I've used VB extensively for years and I highly recommend it's use for your issue.
If you have a full version of windows, you could use bootcamp as an alternative to VB but you lose the ability to access the OSx environment while booted in windows.
    Best of luck

  • What do I need to run FCS 2?

I posted this question in a different forum (Content creation with Final Cut Studio) but received no replies.
I'm hoping that posting it elsewhere will net me better results.
I recently bought FCS2, knowing that I was more than likely going to have to do some major upgrading to my mac to be able to use it. Especially the graphics card.
Now that I have FCS 2, I'm now worried that my mac just won't be the right kind no matter how much upgrading I do, but I could be wrong.
So here I am asking for some advice. My current system is a Power Mac G5 The processor is a Power PC Dual 1.8 GHz. 4 GB DDR SDRAM memory, which I believe is the max memory for this system. My optical drive is an internal Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-117D. Graphics card which I know needs to be upgraded is an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 with 64 MB VRAM (very sluggish with motion), and my display is the 23 inch apple cinema display.
So, am I just going to have to consider purchasing a new Intel G5, or is there some hope for this machine?
What I use it for now is just basic DV and using iDVD to burn DVD's since I haven't learned DVD studio pro yet. I plan, (after some learning) to get into HD video and DVD's which makes me think that I may need a new optical drive also.
Can anyone give some advice on the best upgrades needed for this, or am I out of luck?

Sounds to me like you're fine. You meet all the system requirements, and I know many around here that still use G5 systems. Just upgrade your card to an x1900, and you'll have a fully capable system for what you're doing. Also, make sure your monitor is at least 17" if you ever plan to utilize Color.
BTW: No such thing as an Intel G5. They are called Intel C2Ds.

  • What do I need to run airplay?

I've been researching this for weeks and I'm just confused. Please help.
    What I want to do:
I want to play the songs off my iMac on my stereo in the next room and also be able to access those songs on a separate iMac (in another room, obvs).
I want to control it through my iPhone using Remote.
I may also, at a later date, want to run films and photos from the iMac to the telly (once I buy one)
    What I have:
2 x iMacs (different rooms, obvs)
    iPhone 4S with Remote app
    An iMac remote control
    Airport Extreme (not in use)
Wi-Fi (courtesy of BT Home Hub 3)
    Why I'm confused:
I thought it could all be sorted with an Apple TV, then I read somewhere I'd probably also need Aiport Express.
    THEN
Someone told me all I needed was the Airport Extreme instead
    THEN
Another person told me the Wi Fi I have would be sufficient
I have come to the all-knowing Apple Discussions for the precise explanation.

  • What does it take to run OTN sample code?

Do I have to install some kind of developers tool kit in order to compile and run the OTN and Oracle-install related sample code?
Also, I noticed that OTN only has toolkits for Oracle 9i, and nothing for Oracle 8i. Is Oracle abandoning 8i? Lots of us are not moving to 9i for some time, and abandoning 8i is not a swift idea. If we can not do what we need to do in 8i, we can always use Microsoft SQL Server, which we already have and are familiar with . . . There are those in the department that are using this to argue for a return to SQL Server.

I re-read my posting, looking for any mention of a lack of Oracle 8i documents and could not find any.
But I did notice that I mentioned OTN Samples and a question regarding the need to install toolkits in order to run them. I still don't know the answer. You see, the OTN sample readme files seem quite 'lean', and the classpath info needed to compile the Java code is not provided. I have not been able to compile the code after quite a bit of effort, prompting me to question the need for a tool kit. Or perhaps some .jar or .zip files are missing?
I also questioned support for Oracle 8i in that OTN is featuring 9i almost exclusively. This was prompted by my inability to locate 8i toolkit downloads in case I needed them. Plus the fact that we will be on 8i until next year . . .
    Have a nice day.

  • What does it take to run Boot Camp, Fusion or Parallels

I am wondering about upgrading to Leopard to use Boot Camp, Fusion or Parallels. I have found that a significant amount of software that I want to run is not available in a Mac version. The other issue is that many programs I already have for Windows would be very expensive to replace with a Mac version. Thus I want to run a Windows operating system on my MacBook. I do not want to suffer from slow performance because the hardware is not robust enough. I would appreciate some honest chatter about what I need hardware wise to make this thing fly.
1 How much main memory should I have? I currently have 1GB.
2 How big should the hard drive be? I currently have a 75 GB drive with 45 GB available.
3 Anyone that has run Windows or runs both; am I simply better off buying a new HP and running Windows programs on a native Windows computer? I hate this alternative. However, I would rather use my computer than spend time trying to figure out why it is not working.
    Thanx in advance

    1. Parallels (and probably Fusion) should run in Tiger, though you would almost certainly want 2GB of RAM. With Leopard, 2GB would be the absolute minimum, I think, for Parallels and Fusion. With Leopard and Boot Camp, 1GB should not be a problem, but it shouldn't cost much to upgrade to 2GB which will be better.
    2. Since you have 45GB available, you should be ok with Parallels or Fusion. With Boot Camp, you would probably be limited to about a 20GB Windows partition, but that is conceivably plenty. If you decide on Boot Camp, you would also want to back up your hard drive before installing Leopard, and then do an erase and install, not an upgrade or an archive and install, lest you both use too much disk space and/or run into the "some files could not be moved" problem. When installing Leopard, you may also want to select the option to not install languages and/or printer drivers, to save some disk space.
    3. I don't see why you should buy an HP unless it has a graphics card and you feel you need a graphics card.
Boot Camp will run faster than Fusion or Parallels, but this is only relevant if your software is computation or resource intensive. Also, with Fusion or Parallels you would be limited to a smaller amount of Windows RAM, which, however, is also mainly relevant only if your software is memory intensive. With Boot Camp, you will get decent performance, but Leopard will take up more disk space, and Windows will require more disk space. This is why I supplied the disk-saving tip above, even though you don't currently have a lot of free disk space.

  • What does nokia need to improve

Hello nokia :smiley's-happy: IM 16 years old ,I first heard of  nokia since I was12  ,I see you as the best phone company in this world, IM from America , so I be seeing a lot of people with htc, Samsung or LG , I rarely see nokia user ,but people that I know, knows about nokia cause of me, I just hope you listen to me to get more people to love nokia
I be wondering how come you don't  make more apps game's ,thats like the main reason there's  a market for the phone right? ,I got some friends/family who got some awesome games for their Samsung or htc ,  my mom have the htc sensation and I check out the android market and this what I can say ,"they got pretty awesome games" ,like zenonia n such more ,I don't think people would like to play a cheap graphic game, you need to contact some good company that make good games with excellent graphic , like the mobile company gamevil every game I play from them is really awesome , or games like & familiar to angry birds and fruit slice ninja ,
I know you can do better with the ovi market n change the way it looks , oh and one more thing can u please talk to t-mobile (USA)  to sell your phones like the n8 x7 e7 e6 n more n ill sure you a lot of people will like them ,the phones model are awesome and it gets people attention ,it will persuade them to buy it.

Games and apps are important, but Nokia concentrates on making the devices and services like providing the store (just like with Samsung or Apple, etc.).
It is separate game/app publishers or developers that create the games and apps.
And, like the others, Nokia does also provide various kinds of developer support, marketing assistance, developer competitions and other promotions in order to get more games and apps for their devices.
See http://www.developer.nokia.com/ for Nokia's developer "portal", and http://store.ovi.com for Nokia's "app store" and http://info.publish.nokia.com for how Nokia tries to get and support more game/app publishers.
In the past Nokia also did invest a lot in games development ( read about N-Gage on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Gage ), but decided to spend their effort on providing a more "generic" channel for apps and games, rather than focusing on just games.
Your favourite games like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja already have Nokia versions:

  • What Do I Need To Run A External Moniter with a Macbook Pro?

I have a Mac Book Pro 13in Mid 2009 Model. I replaced the RAM to 8GB, I have an HDMI Converter cable to plug my mac book into my 21in moniter, but it seems like it is still lagging behind, with internet connection but the screen just cant keep up or something. Is that a graphics card issue or is there something else that I need to improve the video on my monitor.

    JimmyCheckers,
there’s not enough information to say for sure. If you watch a video which lags on your external monitor on your built-in display instead, does the lagging cease, or is the lagging also observable on the built-in display? If you completely download a video onto your internal disk before watching it, does it still lag on the external monitor? Does it lag on the built-in display?

  • What do I need to run/use JSF ??

Sorry for a rather dumb question. We have a client/server system we would like to convert into a Web Based app using JSF.. we developed our system on J2SE 1.4
    1. What software/runtime environment do I need ?
    2. What downloads must I grab to start using it ??
    Thanks very much
    Mike

    Hi,
first you'll need the JSF (latest current release EA3) found under:
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/javaserverfaces/
then an application server, e.g. tomcat/catalina supplied with the JWDSP and the J2EE platform found at:
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/downloads/webservicespack.html
    and
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/download.html
    respectively.
Having installed the JSF you'll find a JSF Spec and tutorial where everything else (configuration, etc.) is explained.
If you're experiencing problems with the JWSDP 1.1 try getting hold of JWSDP 1.01.
    Good luck & have fun....

I compiled and successfully ran the compiled verson of an app. with a serial interface on a WIN2000 computer with the full LabVIEW development suite.
I installed the LabVIEW runtime engine only on a target computer (running WIN2000) and when I tried to run the app. got the following error -

    Possible reasons:
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF009E) A code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded.

    You have to install NI-VISA.
It is possible to avoid this seperate install by including all of the required support files.
I believe there is a knowledge base article that lists all of the files that need to be included in your build.
