What does gtbcheck.exe do?

I use Comodo Internet Security and while updating my Flash player, the process gtbcheck.exe was flagged by the Behaviour Blocker/auto-sandbox as suspicious or unknown and was isolated. The updating appears to have worked but I wonder what this process is.
I believe the gtb stands for Google Tool Bar. The gtbcheck runs during updating or installing Adobe Flash and checks for the presence of the toolbar. If you have not deselected the option to install the Chrome Browser and the toolbar, they will be installed if not already present. Is this accurate?
I always deselect the option myself since I don't want Chrome or the toolbar.

What does firefox.exe-application error mean? Firefox wont even open it just says this, and then click okay to terminate the problem.

When I go to open up Firefox, it does not open no matter what I try It just pops up this box that says Firefox.exe - application error.
Then it says the Instruction at "0x798377a9" referenced memory at "0x798377a9". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to termintate the program
What does this mean? And why cant I use Firefox. I can still use internet explorer just fine.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

The classpath is used by javac.exe and java.exe (and other tools) to locate your (the user) .java and .class files that they require.

What does wtgpack.exe do?

I want to get familiar with Oracle Lite 9i. As mentioned in the tutorial I tried to start "wtgpack.exe -d" but nothing happened.
Maybe I can do the steps for packaging and deploying an application manually?

You get that message any time you download an executable file. It is safe to open as long as you download from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Firefox locks up and runs plugin-container.exe -- I don't start it and can't stop it. What does it do and can I stop it?

You mentioned in your system details that you're running Windows XP SP2. I'd recommend you install Service Pack 3 since Microsoft addressed a large number of issues in that service pack. This error has the same pattern as those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find libdispatch.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Application Support from the control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild as outlined in the second box.

You can try installing 7-Zip (free), then right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file to unpack its contents, and install AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. It may still not install successfully, but if it doesn't you may get a more useful error message regarding the reason why.

if I only set the -Xmsn option and do not set -Xmxn option when I launch my Java application, how does java.exe behave? Does the heap will automatically grow like what Bea's JRockit does when my application requires more memory?
I use JDK 5.0.

If your application needs the space, the JVM will grow the heap up to the
default value of -Xmx. Note that it will run a garbage collection cycle before
expanding the heap, and it may take a few or several cycles to expand to
the -Xmx value. How fast or slow it expands depends somewhat on the
behavior of your application (how much it allocates and how long the
objects live).
