It means the server rejected the password. make sure you can log in to your email providers web mail. Some providers, notably Yahoo, have dozens, if not hundreds of servers that do authentication. Sometimes they get out of sync. Yahoo's mail servers are notoriously bad. Try deleting and re-adding the account.
