What does noise of the line mean?

What's noise on the line mean and how do you know if you have got it?

soapy is part right. Audible noise is easy to identify and indicates a problem with the line; and is likely to be associated with high frequency noise. What actually matters for broadband is the high frequency noise; which you can't hear. It is very difficult (impossible?) to detect without special equipment. You may be able to guess that it is there either from audible noise, or from the behaviour of your broadband.
You will have difficulty deducing much from the behaviour of your broadband unless you use an unlocked modem.

Good idea to fill out your profile so people can see what machine you are writing about.
Also a good idea to do a little research through the 'More like this' panel to the right of your initial post.    Each of the threads also contains more leads so it is amazing how much you can learn from them.

Yes, if you duplicate without the render files and delete the original project you lose the render files. But render files get recreated - automatically if you have it set in the preferences (which is the default option). It just takes time.

It's an error message returned by the burner. You can see the full list of these error messages here
    <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_Code_Qualifier>
It's not specific enough to pinpoint what caused it—it could be anything from a bad optical medium (CD-R) to a dusty or dying laser diode. You have to isolate the problem—use a different CD-R brand, try a different speed, use a different burn engine (eg, Burn), etc. If it occurs once or twice, randomly, it's more likely to be a bad disc. If it occurs consistently, and at the same stage of the burn process, it's more likely to be a drive or software issue.

Generally speaking, the allocation traces from JRMC would show where objects are allocated. However, objects such as String, char[], byte[] etc are so ubiquitous that they are very hard to trace.
Your best bet could be to focus on application specific packages and look for unusual object counts.

  • What does error -50303 and -50016 mean ?

Does anyone know what does error -50016 and -50303 mean ? Can you tell me how to solve it ? I am using scxi 1161 for my application and i am getting these error codes.

    Hi Anku
You can find explanations to error codes in labVIEW by going to the Help menu and selecting Explain Error and then inputing the error codey you get. You can also right-click in the error node in you program that presents this error and choose "Explain error". The two error codes you have posted have the following explanations:
    -50016:
"NI Platform Services:  The specified window type is not valid or is inappropriate in the context of the current device configuration. The operation could not be completed as specified."
     -50303:
"NI Platform Services:  The specified device could not be initialized. The operation could not be completed as specified"
Does both of these error occur in the same attempt to run or at different attemps to run the code? In which order are you getting these errors if they appear at the same time? The second error code indicates that you either don't have a connection to your instrument, that it's not configured correctly (such as the first error indicates) or that the instrument is not functioning as it should. The first error is a configuration error and could also be a result of the second error (i.e. no connection or broken instrument). So as both error codes you are getting could be a result of the other it is important to note which occurs first.
    Best Regards
    David

  • What does Transparent Networking Substrate (TNS) mean ?

    Hello,
what does Transparent Networking Substrate (TNS) mean?
I searched several Oracle documentations but couldn't find a plain explanation!
    Thanks
    Axel

In addition to the glossary definition...
For what most people care about, TNS is a layer that transparently allows you to use a variety of different methods to resolve database aliases. You can configure a tnsnames.ora file, you can set up Oracle Names, an LDAP directory, or you can use host names.

  • What does HD, HD+, and FHD mean?

I've asked this before but have yet to good an answer so I'll ask again.
What does HD, HD+ and FHD mean?  How many pixels are there horizontally and verticaly?  If FHD is 1920x1080 what are HD and HD+?
As for why I care...  I currently have a 15 inch 1024x768 monitor.  I'm willing to try a higher resolution / pixel density but have a feeling that 1920x1080 would be too high.  Are HD or HD+ too high, as well?  I don't know and I'd like to.
    Solved!

You and I like different things. I want 1920x1200....
Anyway, this is from the Spec Book that you can find here http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf..
    HD      1366x768
    HD+    1600x900

  • HT201250 what does reported "error code 6584" mean ?

What does reported "error code 6584" mean ? when trying to get into my time machine back up.

First, I suggest you make another full backup to a locally-attached external hard drive. You should do that anyway. One backup isn't enough to be safe, and backing up over a network is less reliable than backing up locally. Then try each of the following steps that you haven't already taken.
    1. Restart the backup device. You can do that by disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord.
    2. Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences and check that the device is selected as a destination. If it isn't, select it and try again.
    3. Hold down the option key and select Verify Backups from the TM menu in the menu bar (not the Dock icon.) This operation may take a long time. If the menu-bar icon (a clock that runs backwards) isn't showing, check Show Time Machine in menu bar in the preferences.
    4. Erase the backup device. With a Time Capsule, you do that from within the AirPort Utility application; see its built-in help for details. All backups on the device will be lost, so don't do this until you've backed up to another device. After erasing, select the device again as a backup destination in the TM preference pane. The first backup should be made over a wired connection, if possible.
