What does nokia need to improve

Hello nokia :smiley's-happy: IM 16 years old ,I first heard of  nokia since I was12  ,I see you as the best phone company in this world, IM from America , so I be seeing a lot of people with htc, Samsung or LG , I rarely see nokia user ,but people that I know, knows about nokia cause of me, I just hope you listen to me to get more people to love nokia
I be wondering how come you don't  make more apps game's ,thats like the main reason there's  a market for the phone right? ,I got some friends/family who got some awesome games for their Samsung or htc ,  my mom have the htc sensation and I check out the android market and this what I can say ,"they got pretty awesome games" ,like zenonia n such more ,I don't think people would like to play a cheap graphic game, you need to contact some good company that make good games with excellent graphic , like the mobile company gamevil every game I play from them is really awesome , or games like & familiar to angry birds and fruit slice ninja ,
I know you can do better with the ovi market n change the way it looks , oh and one more thing can u please talk to t-mobile (USA)  to sell your phones like the n8 x7 e7 e6 n more n ill sure you a lot of people will like them ,the phones model are awesome and it gets people attention ,it will persuade them to buy it.

Games and apps are important, but Nokia concentrates on making the devices and services like providing the store (just like with Samsung or Apple, etc.).
It is separate game/app publishers or developers that create the games and apps.
And, like the others, Nokia does also provide various kinds of developer support, marketing assistance, developer competitions and other promotions in order to get more games and apps for their devices.
See http://www.developer.nokia.com/ for Nokia's developer "portal", and http://store.ovi.com for Nokia's "app store" and http://info.publish.nokia.com for how Nokia tries to get and support more game/app publishers.
In the past Nokia also did invest a lot in games development ( read about N-Gage on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Gage ), but decided to spend their effort on providing a more "generic" channel for apps and games, rather than focusing on just games.
Your favourite games like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja already have Nokia versions:

  • If my wife wants to buy an ipad II what does she need to do shopping for hours at a time on the internet while driving

My wife wants to do internet searches and shop for hours on end while I'm driving.  What does she need if we get an Ipad 2?
Some people here at the office say I need Wi-Fi.  Some say 3G.  Some say I need to sign up with a carrier on some type of monthly plan to get the internet.
    Help!!
I need this while we drive from state to state and not for getting on the internet through some hotel Wi-Fi Connection.
    Thanks,
    BaylinerKing

3G coverage and overall performance between Verizon and AT&T varies depending on where you are, and depending on where you are you may have no 3G service at all with any carrier.
The other consideration is the price-points of various data plans, they differ between size and cost.
But all plans are month-to-month, meaning that you can turn the service off anytime you want, and for as long as you want, but when you activate 3G service you pay for 30 days of service regardless if you turn 3G off (so turn it off on the 29th day if you won't need 3G next month).  You can do all of this right from the iPad, and you don't have to set anything up at the time of purchase (other than choose your carrier).  I bought a Verizon 3G iPad 6 weeks ago and have not yet activated 3G, but will do so soon while travelling.

  • FI-AA Depreciation  Run :what does I need to run depreciation (AFAB trans.)

I don´t know what I need to run depreciation, I have create a fixed asset, and I have done a posting f-90 , and afterwards I want to execute depreciation but I cannot ¿what does I need to do this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Olga.

    Hi,
First of all before running depreciation you need to give the required GL accounts needed for posting the depreciation to the GL accounts in T.Code AO90.
Then after doing the required configurations u can run a depreciation run only in the month end or in the next month for the previous month.
If u had posted transactions to an asset using F-90 say suppose in october, u can do the depreciation in the month of october or in the coming month.
    hope it is clear.
    regards

After an update to firefox I keep getting a warning from my Firewall (McAfee) "Program wants internet access". I have permission set at outgoing for firefox and updates checking off, to check that request is valid so what does it need access for

This was not a Firefox update, but a piece of malicious software you have inadvertently downloaded from a site called http://ffftp.co.cc/ which is impersonating Firefox. I discovered this as soon as my Zonealarm requested permission for "Golds" to access the internet. Golds??!! However I couldn't find a file with this name installed on my computer.
You should delete the file you downloaded and certainly do not allow internet access to any suspicious program. If you have already given permission, scan your PC immediately for any virus, malware, etc. Best of luck.

  • What does HDMI needs HDCP mean?

My HDMI-Apple TV has been working for almost a month. Then today I get a message something like "Your hdmi cable needs HDCP."
Everything else with my system is working. How can I fix this?
    Thanks!

HDMI is the protocol that the two devices use to communicate with each other.
HDCP is a method of protecting content from being copied, it may or may not be present in your content.
If it's present in your content, your Apple tv will make sure that the other device is not capable of copying that content. If the device can copy or isn't capable of telling the Apple tv it can't copy, the Apple tv won't play that content and you will get a message to tell you so.
Excluding the prospect of a faulty cable, cables themselves will not stop HDCP content being played. It's most likely an issue with the tv.

  • Nokia 5230 Nuron Improvements

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not.
I have been using a n95-3 and an n95-8gb for a while now, but then got spoiled by instlling the SPB Mobile Shell interface on a Samsung Omnia.  I got the Nuron sort of as a test, to see what it was like.  To me, it was nice, but too simplified.  I didn't like the way T-Mobile seemed to limit the use of the phone.  I guess I've been spoiled by some other phones.
After a bit of help, I got OVI going, along with Maps.  That was a good start, and it worked very nicely, especially with the T-Mobile internet access.  There were still way too many limitations though.
I wish Nokia (or is it T-Mobile?) had installed a "real" browser, and went searching for one I could add later.  I found the latest version of Opera, which told me it couldn't install on my phone.  Then I found the latest experimental version, which installed perfectly, and moved the phone out of the "not good enough" category into something I felt might be useful to me.
The next day, my internet at home went out for a day.  I hooked up my old n95 8gb and found it still worked perfectly as a modem for my laptop.  Amazingly, I then tried this with the Nuron, and it worked just as well (even while using Bluetooth).
A few days ago, I found that SPB Mobile Shell installs and runs perfectly on the Nuron.  Wow, what a difference.  In fifteen minutes the phone changed from an "interesting toy" to my main phone - it's so much better now, that I'm seriously thinking of switching from AT&T to T-Mobile.  Actually, this has also got me back to feeling excited about maybe getting one of the new N8 phones that are just becoming available.  A website that shows all this better than I can describe it is http://spb.com/symbian-software/mobileshell/.
I'm curious - are there any other products being developed, or completed and now available for download, that work well with the Nuron?  Or, better yet, do any of you know of websites that discuss these things?  I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the Nuron is working out, especially considering the low cost.  I used to think of Nokia phones as "the best", and at some point I'll be looking into the n900 or n8....   but that's several months down the road.

The Nuron is a version of hte 5230 made especially for T-Mobile, so it is difficult to say how many or the issues you experience are down to Nokia and how many down to T-Mobile's customised software, but the browser is definitely somethign that Nokia needs to improve in all of its phones.
You will find the N8's Symbian^3 operating system an improvement over the S60 5th Edition that you have in the 5230, the jury is still out on how good it is next to some of the main rivals but I was impressed with what I saw when I had the opportunity to test an N8 recently.
It's nice to hear a happy user, sometimes it gets a bit lonely being the happy voice amongst a lot of complainers!

  • What do you need to work iSight

I recently gave my Dad my old apple G4 laptop and he is trying to set up the iSight to chat with me. He does not have MAC mail. What does he need to use iSight correctly?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, nycolleen.
If you have doubts about whether Dad's iSight still works, he can use the suggestions in How to test your iSight to ensure it is functional.
The following current thread should get you and your Dad started with iChat:
      http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5442877&#5442877
The only difference from that post is that your Dad should use iSight's internal mic instead of the one built into his G4 laptop.

  • Does Nokia Maps need to be online to work sometime...

    Hi all,
I am very confused about the use of the free Nokia Maps applications. I have an N97 mini, and I was using the maps application throughout Egypt last week.
I had the settings placed "offline", and the application would open and would work fine, but whenever I did a search for a place, most times it would not find the place. Even common street names or popular tourist sites, could not be found offline. I then changed the settings to "online", and when I would do the same searches, it now would fine the places and streets.
However, when I checked my mobile phone provider account, using the "online" mode was using up all my phone credit.
So I am confused about whether I must be online to use the Nokia Maps application to find places, or should it work offline. What is the difference? And why does Nokia tell us its free, if in fact it uses up my phone account's data to find places that should already be in the maps application?
So I have 3 main questions I am unsure about:
    1. Do i need to be online to search for some places, as it seems that offline it does not find all places?
    2. If I am online, should it be charging me, or should it still be free?
    3. When I update the maps, as I did, should that not include all the places on the maps that I find in online mode? Or are some places only found if I an online?
I must say we had so many problems using the maps application throughout Egypt- I do not recommend it to anyone for this place. It got us lost so many times, and once we ended up in some isolated poverty stricken town near the Pyramids of Sakkara- it was hell getting back! And it only worked when I went into online mode, and used up all my phone credit.

    Refer these threads..
    /t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Ovi-maps-when-offline-search-not-working/m-p/614321/highlight/true#M1668...

    /t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/ovi-map-search-offline-problem/m-p/741575/highlight/true#M26571
..and you are getting charged for using the Internet (Packet data) by your service provider and not by Nokia /OVI..

What do I need to do so that I can use the built-in dictionary all the time? My iPad 2's dictionary functions on Japanese e-newspapers but not on the Arizona Republic or other e-newspapers.

Are you talking about the English dictionary?  Mine seems to work ok on the AZ republic web page.  Does yours not work on all webpages?  Does it not work when you type an English word in Notes and then do select and define?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • My itunes store is saying that it could not contact the server, it says i need to restore my ipod but when i go to restore it, it says the server could not be contacted or something. what does this mean?

okay so last night i went to charge my ipod in the computer and it started working then i took it out of the computer and put it on a wall charger and it had a spasm attack and shut itself down, after that it said i had to connect it to itunes so when i did it kept telling me that i need to restore my ipod, but when i press restore the itunes said "the contact server is not avalible" or something similar to that, what does that actually mean and is there anyway i can fix my ipod. i have dropped my ipod a few times, on tiles, wood, in a gutter of water when it fell out my pocket but im also wondering is it something to do with my ipod or is it itunes?

    Try:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
The abuse may prevent a restore or prevent proper operation of the iPod if you can restore the iPod.
