  • When I download an app I had to put in payment settings cause it was expiring,after that it was downloading but then said 'cannot download because your ipad does not enough space' but I actually have 3.3 gb while the game is 1.4 .pls tell what to do

    When I download an app I had to put in payment settings cause it was expiring,after that i paid and it was downloading but then said 'cannot download because your ipad does not enough space' but I actually have 3.3 gb while the game is 1.4 . I tried rebooting and powering off but still it didnt work even when I clicked the app( which still hasn't downloaded yet). What do I do now?

    The GB size of the download file is the compressed size (like .zip or .dmg). When the file is installed/uncompressed it can be 2-3 times larger.
    How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.
    How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
    With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

    I tried to import a video into iMovie. Its says their is not enough space on the destination disk. I deleted many projects, and events. Nothing changed. What files do I delete and how?

    Hard drive full or near full:
    You are going to have to delete, move or archive your data to regain hard drive space.
    Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
    If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
    If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
    Other things you can do to gain space.
    Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive older emails you want to save.
    Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
    Again, archive or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
    Uninstall apps that you no longer use. If the app has a dedicated uninstaller, use it to completely uninstall the app. If the app has no uninstaller, then just drag it to the OS X Trash icon  and empty the Trash.
    Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
    When you install and launch it, let it do its thing initially, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run all of the processes in the tabs. Let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
    Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
    If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be moved, also, to the external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
    You may have to Purchase an external FireWire or Thunderbolt hard drive to move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
    Good Luck!

  • Imovie 11 Can't Export Movies NOT ENOUGH ROOM IN THE HEAP ZONE!

    I have plenty of space on my hard drive, no other programs are running, and the video being exported is only 6 minutes and 57 seconds long.
    I am working on a short film and 90% of the time that I try and export it in 720 I get an error, because there is not enough room in the heap zone. Then after I restart the computer if I am lucky I can get it to export 1 out of 10 trys. It has nothing to do with the title I give the video.
    I need the video exported in 1080, but it gives me the same error EVERY TIME! Even when I export to quicktime and use various settings I keep getting the same heap zone error. What is the deal!?! I have exported an hour long documentary and didn't have this problem. I erased all my previous projects and events and still I get this error
    UNABLE TO EXPORT MOVIE
    The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (Not enough room in the heap zone /)
    HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

    I have the same problem when trying to export a 720P movie to iTunes.  Reboot did not help nor did renaming the project.  I have an older MacPro with dual 3.0s, 11 Gb Ram and slightly less than 1Tb free space on the boot drive.  This is a software issue, not a hardware problem.  Apple please fix the myriad of problems with iMovie 11.   My productivity has ground to a halt with my 4 month old iLife Software.  How did this software ever pass muster!!!!!  I can't believe anyone would purchase the new version of Final Cut given the horrible product you've included with the last iLife Set.  This is an example of why I left the Microsoft Windows community.  SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!   I usually create 4 to 5 movies a month for the flying community I live in.  I have completed one since January, and it was a mess due to software glitches.   My attempt to re-render an old iMovie 9 creation has been met with failure.  I have projects backing up and really have no desire to finish them or create others as iMovie 11 is no longer fun since it is broken.   I'm tired of iPhoto 11 and iMovie crashing or not working and the reason for spending more on an Apple product no longer exists.  Outdated expensive hardware and buggy software.   Time to sell my APPL stock like Bob Mansfield,  You're ignoring your core supporters and are living off the hype of the iPhone/iPad.  The poor economy has allowed your "halo effect" to endure many recent short-comings - (Mobile Me (how slow and expensive can it be to stream a personal home movie - but don't worry you don't need Blu-Ray)), Mail (why do I keep getting duplicate emails in my drafts folder? and why is it always losing my password - just like Mail on my iPhone), Never providing a stable video card for 2006 Mac Pros, Crippled iPhone 4 for Verizon, no iPad Flash support, iLife Crapware)............where's the Tylenol!!!!!   I need it since I promised an iMovie project for a friend's memorial that I am now unable to deliver.

  • IMovie Exporting: "Not Enough Room In The Heap Zone"

    Okay, I'm trying to export a video from iMovie '11 on OSX 10.8.4 on a Macbook Pro (without retina display). It is only 1:53.
    Every time I try to export I get an error message:
    "Unable to prepare project for publishing.
    The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occured. (MemFullErr / iMemFullErr: Not enough room in the heap zone / )"
    I have checked literally every forum post about this error and nothing has helped. I have over 700 GB of room on this computer, so there's enough memory for it to export for sure, and I'm not using special characters in the title. I'm trying to export in 720p. I exported a project 2 days ago (which was way longer than this one), in 720p, and it worked fine. I do not have time machine running.
    It works when I export it in lower quality, but lower quality isn't good enough.
    I've tried exporting it, exporting it with quicktime, publishing it to youtube, exporting it through the share menu, and renaming the project. Nothing is working.
    I have not tried clearing the Cache yet, because I could not figure out how to do it. If you could explain how to clear the Cache in great detail, that would be awesome. (Also, if you have another solution, explain that as well.)
    I am really frustrated with this problem.
    If you could help me out, that would be amazing.
    (Please do not link to another article, I've already looked at them all.)

    Trouble
    When iMovie doesn't work as intended this can be due to a lot of reasons
    • iMovie Pref files got corrupted - trash it/they and iMovie makes new and error free one's
    • Creating a new User-Account and log into this - forces iMovie to create all pref. files new and error free
    • Event or Project got corrupted - try to make a copy and repair
    • a codec is used that doesn't work
    • problem in iMovie Cache folder - trash Cache.mov and Cache.plist
    • version miss match of QuickTime Player / iMovie / iDVD
    • preferences are wrong - Repair Preferences
    • other hard disk problem - Repair Hard Disk (Disk Util tool - but start Mac from ext HD or DVD)
    • External hard disks - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted to work with Video
    ( UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most other things - but not for Video )
    • USB-flash-memories do not work
    • Net-work connected hard disks - do not work
    • iPhoto Library got problems - let iPhoto select another one or repair it. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.
    This You do by
    _ close iPhoto
    _ on start up of iPhoto - Keep {cmd and alt-keys down}
    _ now select all five options presented
    _ WAIT a long long time
    • free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk to low (<1Gb) - I never go under 25Gb free space for SD-Video (4-5 times more for HD)
    • external devices interferes - turn off Mac - disconnect all of them and - Start up again and re-try
    • GarageBand fix - start GB - play a few notes - Close it again and now try iMovie
    • Screen must be set to million-colors
    • Third-party plug-ins doesn't work OK
    • Run "Cache Out X", clear out all caches and restarts the Mac
    • Let Your Mac be turned on during one night. At about midnight there is a set of maintenance programs that runs and tidying up. This might help
    • Turn off Your Mac - and disconnect Mains - for about 20-30 minutes - at least this resets the FireWire port.
    • In QuickTime - DivX, 3ivx codec, Flip4Mac, Perian etc - might be problematic - temporarily move them out and re-try
    (I deleted the file "3ivxVideoCodec.component" located in Mac HD/Library/Quicktime and this resolved my issue.)
    buenrodri wrote
    I solved the problem by removing the file: 3ivxVideoCodec.component. after that, up-dated iMovie runs ok.
    Last resort: Trash all of iMovie and re-install it

    I have 124Gig of space left on my HD, when I try to export my movie i get this error "The operation could not be completed because there is not enough space on the destination disk"  I have read some of the threads went in and deleted the iMovie Preference file but no luck.. any Ideas?  Thanks!

    You need the System DVDs that originally came w/the computer in order to troubleshoot.  All Macs prior to & including ML came w/System DVDs.
    You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
    If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html  Another resource:  International Support Phone #s.

  • Write: 0xecf6eb0, 4096: There is not enough space on the disk.

    Our applications occasionally get the error in the function specified by set_errcall: "[prefix] write: 0xecf6eb0, 4096: There is not enough space on the disk. " Preceded by "DB00.db: write failed for page"
    There most certainly is enough space on disk for one. In this most recent case, the Db::put's succeeded for a full hour before finally failing with an out of space error. At which point, I now have 30 log files and my own log files are filled with Berkeley error callbacks.
    How come the set_errcall doesn't return an integer error code? If it did, we would be able to analyze that and decide any action to take. In this example, I might consider closing down all handles and checkpointing then removing logs since maybe the number of logs has gotten to large. Analyzing a string doesn't make sense since that might change with Berkeley versions.
    Anyway, can anyone give any advice as to why we would get an out of space error (with plenty of disk space.) And also how to handle such an error.

    The platform is C++ API version 4.7.25 running on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2. The database is on an NTFS disk. We have tested database files up to 20GB in size. The following is my config.
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_cachesize(0, 10 * 1024 * 1024, 1);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lg_max(20000000);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lg_bsize(10 * 1024 * 1024);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_mp_max_write(4, 0);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_mp_mmapsize(2 * 1024 * 1024);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_mp_max_openfd(1);
    // set the alloc methods into the environment
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_alloc(QPRT_ALLOC, QPRT_REALLOC, QPRT_FREE);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lk_detect(DB_LOCK_YOUNGEST);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_timeout(500000, DB_SET_LOCK_TIMEOUT);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_timeout(200000, DB_SET_TXN_TIMEOUT);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_flags(DB_REGION_INIT, 1);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_tx_max(5000);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_flags(DB_TXN_WRITE_NOSYNC, 1);
    m_pDbEnvironment->log_set_config(DB_LOG_ZERO, 1);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lk_max_lockers(5000);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lk_max_locks(5000);
    m_pDbEnvironment->set_lk_max_objects(5000);
    m_pDbEnvironment->open((zKSz)sPath,     DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_LOCK | DB_INIT_LOG | DB_INIT_MPOOL |
                                       DB_THREAD | DB_INIT_TXN | DB_RECOVER | DB_LOCKDOWN,
                                       0);
    We also checkpoint every 2 to 5 minutes with a 5MB threshold. We also explicitly call pDbEnvironment->log_archive(kpNil, DB_ARCH_REMOVE) after checkpointing.
    Primary and (up to 4) secondary databases are opened with DB_CREATE | DB_AUTO_COMMIT flags.
    I'd also appreciate any suggestions as to how to lower the memory footprint used by Berkeley. Ever since we've integrated this DB, our memory usage has been too large and inconsistent. There are 6 independent environments the product uses during runtime. Each of these environments have a primary database and (up to 4) secondary databases, which are all opened with DB_CREATE | DB_AUTO_COMMIT flags.
    Just recently we have added a memp_trickle every 5 seconds at 40% (Anything lower and it has no affect in the environment, in other words, db_stat shows dirty pages forced from the cached instead of trickled.) We are trying to reproduce this issue at this point.

    The other two posters suggested that the problem with tempdb or you data/log files. This is not the case here. The error message relates to the client-side of things. Apparently SSMS needs to store data on disk. I don't recall exactly when this happens,
    but I seem to recall that the files appear in you %TEMP% directory.
    I would suggest that your correct action is to clean up the disk. Not the least there may be a lot of junk in your %TEMP% and %TMP% directories.

    Thanks Erland, I was not aware of this earlier. Now, I am able to find out one of the resons for slowness of SSMS gird. Also, I have just checked it with process monitor, SSMS is creating tmp%.tmp files..

  • IFolder Client error: Not enough space on the iFolder server

    iFolder client gets the following error:
    iFolder synchronization cannot complete because you don't have enough space on the server.
    Free space on the server = 464 MB (total space available 3000 MB)
    Space needed to complete synchronization = 2536 MB.
    Please free up space in your iolder and click OK.
    Click Cancel to cancel to sync.
    iFolder client log looks like this:
    13.3.2011 23:40:46 Synchronizing with server...
    13.3.2011 23:40:48 Synchronization failed
    The volume size is 36 GB and it has free space 20% = 7 GB.
    So there is enough space to the iFolder sync.
    iFolder host is NetWare 6.5.8 server and iFolder version is 2.1.8
    The same iFolder is synced from two (2) PC's, a desktop (XP SP3) and notebook (W7 SP1 32bit). Both have been working for long time.
    The problems are seen on notebook using Windows 7. The Windows 7 (32-bit) OS has updated with SP1 on Saturday (May 12th.2011). After the update iFolder worked but on Sunday evening the errors started.
    iFolder client (2.1.8) has removed and reinstalled. First the client seemed to work OK, but after the sync of last file, the error reoccured again.
    iFolder sync partially works: files and folders created on desktop PC are synced to notebook.
    But files created on notebook are not synced to desktop.
    Any tips how to repair or troubleshoot?
    Kind Regards, Harri

    Noting your follow-up reply re uninstall of Windows 7 SP1 I'll flag that
    the iFolder 2.0 client is not supported on Windows 7 - it would have
    been released before Windows 7 and certainly not updated for it (OES
    Linux introduced iFolder 3).
