so my iphone 5c was really messed up so i went to the apple store and they just game me a new phone. all was fine, until i got home and decided to stop using my iphod and just sync all my music onto my phone. when i went to do this, everything from the last few months was deleted. photos, messages, apps. how do i get this all back? i had a few very important messages that i need back!! i hit "restore my iphone" after i reslised that this had hapened. please i need help!
That means you have restored it to factory settings, wiping out everything that was on it. If you have a backup of the stuff that was lost, you can restore from that backup.

I had a LG Octane and "upgraded" to LG Cosmos at the end of my contract. The Octane does not have a camcorder but the Cosmos did. To me this was a "downgrade." I learned of this "downgrade" after I had the "upgraded" a few weeks. I believe Verizon's use of the term "Upgrade Your Device" is deceptive and a false promise. Verizon representatives refuse to recognize this "upgrade" as a "downgrade." I am stuck with a downgraded phone for more than another year before I can upgrade again without paying the full cost of a phone! So what does "Upgrade Your Device" mean when used on the Webpage of your Verizon Account?

The upgrade is that your new phone has a camcorder. Your old phone did not.
The word upgrade means to me getting a new phone that has features that my old phone didn't have and that i will actually use. -

I just got my mom's old iPhone December 9th. So i added all my contacts into the phone. I have saved all the pictures i have taken in the main camera roll. So I hooked up my iPhone 4 to the computer, and daved all of the "Camera Roll" pictures. I wanted to get rid of the other folders my mom has but save them onto my computer. Whem iTunes opened up after i saved my photos from "Camera Roll", it said something about iTunes not being able to read my iPhone and that i needed to restore it. It shows the "iPhone Recovery Mode". Will restoring my phone from iTunes (when itunes told me to, not my iPhone) delete everything off of my phone from contacts to pictures?
If it says: "iPhone Recovery Mode". then everything is already gone from the iphone.

You will lose anything that you have failed to import/transfer/save to your computer. -

You can restore your iPod to "New" which will erase every thing and install fresh iOS software or you can restore to a particular backup that you have previously created. In this case, your iPod Apps & data will appear as per the backup. Note that some content is not in a backup and will need to be synced back to the iPad from the iTunes music library or from, for example, the iPhoto photo library.

What does "extracted channel PDF" mean and why does it continually duplicate on my desktop? I think it happens when I move a file in Finder to another file and when I copy some web files. What application is set to open PDF files? If you CNTRL click on the file and open with Preview does the problem occur?
If not change the default application to open PDF files to Preview.
You can do this by highlighting the file and either use CMD i or Get Info , this will open a window with the info on the file with an option to change the application that opens the file.

If you haven't backed up your information on iCloud or anywhere for that matter, does "restoring your phone" basically mean you will never see your pictures, contacts, calendars, and texts again?
(Additional info- I can't back up my phone now. It's too late. I did a software update and it went wrong--have to plug my phone into iTunes because it won't work and the thing that shows it needs to be connected is displayed. The only option is to restore my phone...am I screwed?See my reply in your other thread.

My brother knows exactly what I've been doing on my iphone, playing games, listening to music, whatever and he tells my mom. Is there any apps that can do that? He's also not anywhere near me. He's kinda far away from me and he calls my mom and tells her that I've been doing this and that on my iphone. I was just wondering how he could do that.

Error 3194 most often means that your Computer Hosts file is blocking Apple from signing your firmware. Search on your computer for the word 'Hosts'. Open the Hosts with a word processor. If gs.apple.com is present your Hosts file is blocking Apple, and therefore giving Error 3194. A stock Hosts file does not have gs.apple.com in it. If want Apple to Restore your Firmware you will need to remove the lines with gs.apple.com in them.
