What does the message,"macintosh platform does not support live script" mean?

What does the message," Macintosh platform does not support livescript" mean?

From what I found LiveScript is the precursor of JavaScript, if this means anything in your context. Do you have JavaScript enabled? You might see this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/6447836#6447836.

  • ITunes downloaded, but does not open-Windows does not support Mac script

I have recently bought a Toshiba laptop with pre-installed Windows Vista. I have managed to download iTunes, but I cannot open it. The computer posts a message saying that it does not support Mac script. I suppose that I need additional software (daemon tools?)? I would be grateful if someone could advise me in relation to this issue.

No, you should need nothing additional. I suspect you may have tried to download the Mac compatible version of iTunes & that's why your getting this message. Make sure you have checked the Windows version & nothe Mac version on the download page.

I think you would get more expert advice if you asked this in the iWork forum - its really an iWork question

  • What is the difference between Never and Not supported

What is the difference between Never and Not supported?
Also I want to know what are all the transaction attibutes are supported by MDB and why?

Never- If the bean is called in an existing trasaction an exception is thrown.
NotSupported - Methods always execute outside the transaction context. If a transaction is started when this method is called, this method is executed outside the transaction. The initial transaction is continued after the method exits.

  • I am trying to download pictures from my canon rebel  eos to my Ipad but i get the message "this device is not supported" what can I do ?

I just bought an Apple Lighting to USB Camera Adapter. When I got home to and connected it to my Canon Rebel EOS Digital Camera. I received the error message "This device is not supported" I was wondering if there is any software or drivers I need to download?
    Thanks
    Don

I use Canon Cameras and have no problems downloading photos from the camera to the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. My questions and suggestions might be basic but just to make sure:
    1. This is an iPad forum area. Are you using the lightning to USB camera adapter with an iPad? Your info in your original post says iPod. I'm not sure that the adapter works with an iPod.
    2. After you connect the adapter to your iPad and then use a USB cable to connect the adapter to the camera did you turn on the camera?
    3. If you did turn on the camera and still did not get the import of photos to start try a reset your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. This will not cause any data loss.

I receive the error "requested URL is not supported on this network" when trying to play videos on my iPhone. Can you please advise how to fix this problem?

    Hi,
You will need to re-instal iCal as an optional install from your OSX installer DVDs. Then run the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update.
    Best wishes

    Howdy Gdad_Edw,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the article linked below, it provides information and troubleshooting tips that can help you resolve the no video issue with your Apple Digital AV Adapter and your iPad.
About Apple Digital AV Adapters for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
    Troubleshooting
If you encounter an issue using the Apple Digital AV Adapter or VGA Adapter:
Disconnect and reconnect the adapter from the iOS device and display.
Connect directly to the TV, projector, or external display using a known-good VGA or HDMI cable.
Remove any VGA or HDMI extension cables or converters.
Note that accessories that convert a VGA or HDMI signal to other video formats (DVI, Composite, Component) are not supported.
Ensure that you are using the latest version of iOS. Some Apple Digital AV Adapters require iOS 5.1 or later.
    Ciao,

  • What does not enough free space mean?

My Mac Mini has 44.25 g available, but when I try
to transfer files (37mb) to a 512 mb flash drive.
It gives me this message "The item '1995-willie.jpg'
cannot be copied because there is not enough free space.
I tried it on several different flash drives but it
only copies so much and gives me this message. Help!

I ran into this same problem when I tried to copy just the contents of a folder (200+ jpg files). I discovered that if I copied the entire folder instead of just the contents within, it copied just fine. I'd say that was an unrequested feature. Kind of irritating since I was able to copy all those jpgs from my PC to the same flash drive with no issues.

  • I have rolled back to firefox v3.6.19 as v5 does not support 'no script', 'download status bar', or 'forecastfox', or at least i was unable to get them to work. v5 is no good imo.

For the second time in as many months I have had to roll back to version 3.6.19 as the new firefox (versions 4 or 5) was unable to use 'no script', 'forecastfox' or 'download status bar'. I hope mozilla will continue to support v3.6.19 until my issues have been resolved. Also the after one or two clicks on any of the aforementioned extensions on the add-on bar/page caused v5 to hang.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • HT201343 What's the technical reason for Apple not supporting AirPlay Mirroring in OS X Mountain Lion for earlier iMac's?

  • Why can I not play any CD's or programs on my new Mac Pro. The message this disk is not supported.

    Hello?
anyone there? Apple is closed and I'm about to throw this computer against the wall.

Ah, are they Windows or something?
did you migrate and transfer programs from another computer?
you are using OS X and support for older powerpc based programs won't run unless you insall Parallels and Snow Leopard in a VM. Or upgrade all the programs to be Lion compatible.

  • When I try to open Firefox 4 Beta, I get the message,"cannot open because not supported on this architecture." MAC G4 running OS X.

    MAC G4 desktop.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
There is a third-party build of Firefox 4 that will run on PPC Macs using OS X 10.4, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

  • "Macintosh does not support livescript" What does this mean?

When I try to play the Yahoo Game "Word Racer" ... Up comes a message saying ...Does not support Live Script...Is there some browser or some thing I need to manually install or will Java support this problem.
I really enjoy playing this game and would appreciate if anyone could tell me the steps I need to take to resolve this problem.

Thank you. I gave your suggestion a shot and it worked!!! I disabled many of my fonts and the fonts are now readable in the game.
How do you choose the font you want to use in the Word Racer grid? I tried in Safari/preferences/appearance but that doesn't work. I guess it really doesn't matter that much, I'm just really glad I can play again. I was just curious to know if I can choose the font I want. Also what is the difference between Linotype FontExplorer X and the Font Book?

This means that your NAS does not support the required encryption. Update your NAS to the latest firmware or ditch it and buy a Time Capsule (they are the most reliable when using TM).
